He kissed her lips so softly that she opened her eyes to see if he had even
kissed her. He was staring back at her with his predator eyes slightly
closed which made her go even more insane. She tried to get up from the bed
and force him into a kiss, but that chains were holding her down. He ran his
fingers through her short raven hair and his face was so close to hers that
it was heaven and hell at the same moment. She opened her mouth to try to
lick his perfect lips with her tongue, but all that came out was a small
moan that seemed to beg him to kiss her. Her face was wet and hot, as was
his body, but she didn’t care, she just wanted him to kiss her. She wanted
him to wrap his arms around her body, hold her close, and say that he would
protect her forever. That he loved her as she loved him. That he knew that
she existed.
Hilde suddenly awoke from her dream only to see that dark was staring back
at her. She looked down at the empty space beside herself and felt as though
that he might have been there. He might have been there and had left. /Come
on./ Hilde thought bitterly to herself. /He was never here.../
The day was long, tiresome, and boring as hell. She picked up the pieces
around the junkyard and tried not to think about either of them. They
haunted her memory though. Teasing it with pictures of their own faces and
echoes of their voices. Every time she would think about them her legs would
start to feel weak, so she tried to stop thinking about them.
“Come on Hilde.” She thought to herself as she struggled through the desert
of metal limbs. “One of them is dead, and the other of them acts like he
is.” Hilde’s neck hairs pricked up when her ears heard the comment that she
herself had made. /One of them is dead.../ Hilde still thought about the
accident that had taken Duo. He was going on a space shuttle to another
colony and there was an “accident”. He was going to see Heero. The hair
didn’t go down. Hilde knew that she shouldn’t be thinking about the dark
blue eyed pilot, but he haunted her memory like a place or person she had
once known a long time ago. In her dreams she would love him and he would
love her, but when the dream was over she would still love him and he didn’t
even know. /Did I ever use Duo to get to Heero...?/ Hilde thought to herself
as she picked up a small rusted part that was the size of her palm. At the
thought of it, she threw the part and heard it crash into its siblings.
“No.” She thought to herself as she sat down in the metal skeletons. “I
loved Duo...I really did...” /Now I just have to get over him..../
He had come a week later after her nervous breakdown in the junkyard. Hilde
was trying to straighten up the home after she had gotten herself blind
drunk and went on a rampage in her own house. He had knocked on the door
three times, each one about two seconds apart, before she opened it up.
To see him there standing at her door after all of the dreams she had had,
Hilde was about to fall into his arms and kiss him, but her mind quickly
caught up with her and she shook the dream out of her head. He was looking
good considering that it had been about a month and some weeks after the
funeral. He looked a little paler and a little thinner, but other then that
he looked the same.
“Heero...” Hilde said as she stared at him. She quickly coughed trying to
hide the sound of joy and longing for him in her voice. “What brings you
here?”
“I’m here to get something of Duo’s that I think is here.” Heero said as he
looked away from the woman in front of him. He couldn’t look at her without
remembering the dreams that he had had. Heero didn’t know why he had fallen
for her, but he just couldn’t stop thinking about her for some reason. They
had never really known each other, but seeing her at the funeral seemed to
spark something inside of him. She seemed so weak yet strong that Heero knew
that he had to take care of her no matter what. It had taken all seven weeks
since the funeral to summon up his courage to come and see her, and now that
he had, he regretted it. It would take everything he had to try not to hold
her in his arms and kiss her. To tell her that he would never leave her and
that he loved her.
“What did Duo leave here?” Hilde asked as she tried not to look in his
eyes.
“It was a jacket.” Heero lied as he stepped inside. He was so close to
Hilde now that he could smell her hair and the smell of blueberries was
driving him insane.
“Well I gave all of his stuff away.” Hilde uttered as she could feel his
strength radiating off of his body. “But you’re welcome to search.” Unable
to take it anymore, Hilde quickly stepped back and led Heero into the small
bedroom that she had Duo had once shared. Heero knew that there was no way
that the lie could go on any longer. With a swift motion, he grabbed Hilde
and kissed her so fast that neither of them felt the sensation until after
they had parted.
“Hilde, I’m sorry...” Heero said as he turned to leave, but Hilde grabbed
his arm and pulled him back into a hug.
“And I’m sorry for this...” Hilde whispered as she kissed Heero again. This
time the kiss was slow and passionate, both of them feeling the warmth of
their mouths together. /I wonder if there are any chains in the scrap
yard.../Hilde thought to herself as she fell onto her bed with Heero on top
of her.
