Game Review: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

LOK:SR, is the "sequel" to Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. But instead of being an RPG, this is an action/adventure. Your character, Raziel, a member of the vampire race, has evolved before his elder, Kain, and is killed off in an abyss. He has been ressurected by a mysterious bodyless entity, that he know only of by it's voice. You must get revenge on your clan and Kain, going through 5 unique tribes to get it.

I played the Dreamcast version, and have played the PSX version, and I must say, the graphics have amazingly improved for the DC version. The game is essentially the same, and the opening sequence is unbeliavble. The sound is mildly decent, but with some nice voice-acting. The controls are easy to learn, but definitly hard to master. On the box, it says the levels are designed by real architects and look amazing, but it only caught my eye once or twice. This game is rated Mature for animated blood and gore. It deserves this rating, but could really be more of a teen game. This is a must have game for the PSX/DC/PC.
