Game Review: Goemon's Great Adventure

Goemon's Great adventure, the sequel to Mysitcal Ninja on the N64, is a 2-D side-scroller. Many people think about this on a 3-D system such as the Nintendo 64 and shudder. But most people today value graphics over gameplay, and some of the visually stunning games in the past were put down because of horrid control or plots. In this game, a time machine has been invented, and has been stolen, resulting in ghosts appearing in this era. It's up to, once again, Goemon to save the day.

The games graphics are 3-D, but still hold enough detail to capture the eye. The gameplay is fun to learn and expands just a few options into a fairly long game. Their are plenty mini-quests, which involve you retrieving items for the towns-people. The soundtrack is still backed up by the great original music from the previous Goemon. This game can be played a few times through and still be fun. It is rated E (everyone). I recommend this for fans of the series.
