Game Review: Battle Tanx: Global Assault

Battle Tanx Global Assault, the sequel to the original for the N64, has a lot more variety than the original. You are still in the near future after an apocalyptic war, and your gang now has control over most of California. You have a super-smart child, and must save him from falling into the enemy's hands. There are now 12 Tanks to select from instead of the original three.

The graphics are a step up from the original, and have better weapon pictures. The replay value has improved by leaps and bounds, since there are more tanks. In the original if you were up against a Goliath, you would lose, and if you were the Moto-tank, you would get killed. You really only had a chance with the normal tank The soundtrack consists of the normal bangs and such. The controls are much sharper than before, and the new power-ups add to the great level design.. Overall, if you want a great shoot-em up game with plenty of environments to blow up, Get this game.
