Akira Toriyama- Immortilized by fans

Akira Toriyama, The famed creator of the Drgaon Ball serires, has been influenced by many artists. He was born on April 1955, in the outskirst of Nagoya. He started to draw at a young age and won many contests as a kid. And his first Manga, Wonder Island, came out in 1978. He then created Dr. Slump, which also ran as a TV series.Then finally came The Dragon Ball series, which is based of the 16th century Chinese tale "Legend of the Monkey King". His series sparked an interest and contiued intoa new unique series, Dragon Ball Z and then DB GT.(GT stands for Grand Tour).

His other works include: The charcter design for Chrono Trigger(video game) among others. His work is one of only another Manga artist who is this famous, the revered Osamu Tezuka. This concludes my mini bio of Osamu tezuka.
