Clamp- Detailed and Genius Shojo
CLAMP, the female Shojo(girls comics) group responsible for Many popular Anime including, but not limited to, Card captor Sakura, Rayerath, X/1999 and Tokyo Babylon. This croup consists of four members: Mokona Apapa, Nanase Okawa, Satsuki Igarashi, and Mikku Nekoi. Clamp is so successful because, even though their target is females, many males read their work. Clamp orignally consisted of eleven members, but by their first release, RG Veda, there were only seven. All the current members are from the Kansai area of Japan.
Clamp has changed the way American's look at Shojo and the way it is detailed. The Anime/Manga I recommend from CLAMP are: X/1999 the Manga is really long and very complex, the movie is beautifully animated but has a lack of of character development since it's a two hour movie. Rayearth- Perfect for all Shojo fans and funny as well. Card Captor Sakura- the perfect starter anime.
