DELAND - A pair of aging circus elephants, the last of a herd once 80 strong, are moving into semi-retirement as Volusia's only traveling circus refines its image.
The Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus is also changing its name to The New Cole Bros. Circus, and introducing more "spectacle" into their show in response to the popularity of shows like Cirque du Soleil, said Chuck Werner, senior marketing director.
