You can only have one of each of the magic items. Ever, even if you sell them.
Some expensive and rare items are available in mission. These missions will be very hard, and may not be worth it, so think carefully before deciding how to aquire the item you are looking for.
Use common sense. I'm not limiting these weapons to race, but a good roleplayer knows his characters limits. If your character happens to be a fairy, or another tiny creature, it's unlikely they will be using full body armor, and giant two-handed sword. Think about it.
To go on a mission, you need to have at least 25 magic points. Even if your going for weapons. You can, however, get things that you can't use yet in missions if you want to.
