Ningal's Dark Discovery
By Da Jinx
Ningal's Origin

Although her powers are rather undefined, it seems that she discovers new abilities all the time. Being a moon goddess, she has enhanced strength when the moon, the source of her amulets' power, is fullest. Her amulet can store up energy and release an energy strike, but after several blasts, must be recharged. She also has an almost esp-like quality that allows her to perceive dangerous situations and take action.

On a brisk autumn evening, Ningal entered an old abandoned mansion that lied on the outskirts of the city. She was investigating the reports of unexplained activity in this rural, secluded part of town. The reports were of strange lights and bizarre looking creatures being seen in this area, also some hikers and nature buffs were reported missing in the area too.

Her assignment was to find the lost people and to solve the mystery behind all the weirdness going on here.

The moon was half full so she was at half her maximum strength, but she wasn't worried because the amulet she wore was fully charged. Any major obstacle or danger she may encounter, she felt she would be able to handle.

As she made her way deeper into the old structure, she was fascinated to find it unusually dreary. It was also very cool, an icy breeze flowed through out the building and she felt it through her sheer tights and costume. Unbeknownst to her though, her every action was being monitored.

Soon, she made her way deeper into the rickety structure and she found that it was more complex than it looked from the outside. There were a number of rooms and the halls were like a maze, leading deep into the underbelly of the building. It was as if someone had made a funhouse in the middle of nowhere.

As she journeyed further, she was on guard. There were sounds of doors slamming, howling winds, and creaking floors. But she also noticed shadows at the corner of her eyes. Whenever, she turned to get a fool glimpse…it vanishes.

"I have a feeling this place must be the source to all those reports of strange activity.." She thought to herself.

As she made her way into the different rooms looking for clues, she felt weird. "I feel an evil presence here. Something sinister is behind all this, I must solve this mystery, if this is some new facility for evil purposes they will have Ningal to deal with!" She proclaimed. The young heroine stood proud, ready to meet any challenge head on.

But her investigation would not be without obstacles. As she explored the facility, she encountered locked doors and dead ends that only her explosive kicks could break through. Meantime, she was continuously watched by unseen eyes, stalked by a shadowy figure.

She made her way into the final section of the building, she didn't find any clues to the missing people nor any signs of life. Suddenly, a jolt of electricity knocks her backwards onto her rear end. She walked right into force field, that's blocking her way down a darkened hall.

"What…What's going on here?" She pondered, "Why would a sophisticated defense mechanism be in a rundown old building like this?"

"The answers I seek must be down there. A blast from my amulet will get me through." She boasted. She slowly arose to her feet and pointed her amulet at the field.

Through concentration, she is able to focus the energy pulse of her amulet onto her target. The power of her amulet will batter a hole through the shield or so she planned.

But this obstacle was tougher than expected and the power of the amulet was not getting through. "This force field is strong! I'm going to have to use full power!!" she shouted. The energy was poured on, 4 times more power than before.

Finally, under the massive pressure from her amulet ray the shield collapses but leaving the amulet's power nearly drained. "Good! The field is finally down, maybe now I can solve this mystery." She spoke.

But as she was about to continue her quest, she sees a familiar symbol on the wall, a black flame. She has seen this symbol before, but where?

As she moved in closer to inspect this symbol, the floor gave way under her. A secret trapdoor was activated and our heroine fell through the air for what seems an eternity.

She hits the floor hard and is knocked momentarily unconscious; as she lay sprawled across the floor a shadowy figure approaches her prone body. He stands over and studies her.

The figure then removes Ningal's amulet away from her, without it our heroine's powers are greatly reduced. "Now my dear, this is what happens to nosy trespassers." Chuckled the villain.

The activity causes Ningal to stir, she was regaining consciousness. "Nngh, wh…where am I?" She asked in a daze.

Suddenly, she noticed the dark figure above her. And she rose clumsily to her feet.

"YOU!!! What are you doing here on Earth!?!" she screamed. The once fearless heroine is now shaking in her leather boots.

"I see that my reputation precedes me. I wanted my presence here to be a secret…but because of your meddling, I will have to modify my plans." He spoke in a ghostly manner. The heroine is paralyzed by fear. This being in front of her is the biggest threat to the Earth and she is alone against him.

She begins to motion to use her amulet but realizes it is gone. "Looking for this?" The villain holds up the amulet, showing it to his foe. He has her greatest source of power in his hands.

Her legs gives out from under her and she fall to her knees. She knows that she is no match for this villain, especially in her weakened state. His mere presence here on Earth could mean the end for all she holds dear. "You know too much and I can't let you leave with this knowledge." Spoke the enigmatic being as he stepped towards her.

"St…Stay away from me!" she begged. The fear stricken heroine tries to back away. Her powers are dwarfed compared to his and it is overwhelming her. She knows he can easily erase her from existence.

But then she remembered her duty as a super heroine. "No! I can't let you begin your dark crusade here on Earth." She challenged. Ningal began to rise to her feet and meet this most awesome of foes.

"Such heroic drivel." Quipped the evil one. "Be silent!" He then pressed a button a remote control that unleashes fury of raw, unbridled electric shocks on our young champion. "Aaaargh!!!!" She screamed as she is rocked by this power.

"NNNnnngghahh!!" She moans, as she never felt such pain before in her life. She tries to resist it. "Must…warn the others…. must." she murmured to herself, willing herself to escape from this battle.

But she won't get the chance. Her body gives out under the relentless barrage and she finds sanctuary in the black oblivion of unconsciousness. "Can't …nnngh." her last gasps of defiance.

As the victor ceased his onslaught, he gazes upon the young warrior's prone, defenseless body, he ponders of what to do with her. "This is your lucky night girl. Normally I would have simply destroyed you like I did with those other trespassers but I would like a witness to the greatest triumph in history." He snarled.

"Therefore I will let you watch my victory and to watch you squirm as you are powerless to stop me. It will also give me time to study your amulet and learn the source of its power." He then kneels down and begins to rub her legs and grope her body. "Perhaps, have a little playtime with you too. My what a nice trophy you will be, you are fine specimen indeed."

He then injects a special sedative to keep Ningal weak and powerless. The task complete and Ningal soundly defeated, The Grim figure picks up her limp body, and puts her over his shoulder. "I shall dump you in my guest room and then the real fun will begin." He then carries her out of the room.

He enters a dark and gloomy room and places the weary heroine on an old mattress. Across the room is a desk with a computer.

As the defeated heroine slumbers, he works on the computer putting together the final parts of his plan and analyzing her amulet.

Hours past and Ningal finally begins to awaken. "I see you are finally awake, good!" He spoke. "Why am I here? Why didn't you…. just kill me like you did with …those poor hikers." She asked groggily. She tries to get up but she is weak.

"I must apologize for your present state, I had you drugged so that you wouldn't interfere but strong enough for you to be able to watch." He bragged. "Wa…watch what?" she asked.

"First things first. Here…" He holds her amulet over her. "This costumed jewelry is useless, I tried running tests on it but I got nothing." He spat angrily.

"My…amulet, give it to me. Please." She begged as she reached for it, it was just out her grasp. "It's worthless to you, but I must have it back."

As she reached, in her dazed and groggy state she slipped and fell of the mattress. She lay sprawled across the floor as the fiendish villain looked on and laughed at her folly.

To his amusement he picks up her clumsy body and throws it back onto the mattress. "Honestly, if you are going to make such a fuss over this worthless trinket…HERE!!!" He shouted as he tossed the amulet onto her body.

"Besides, it doesn't go with my outfit, ha,ha,ha." He chuckled. "Now let me show you my real work. On this computer is a complex virus program, as soon as I complete it I will use it to infect every computer on Earth, and it will throw the world into chaos. Making it ripe for my pickings."

He takes a disk out of his computer. "I was hoping that the power from your amulet would amplify my computer enough to bring my plan to fruition but I was sadly disappointed. Instead, I will need a more powerful computer to complete my plans but don't worry, cause I will."

"After I complete my goal I shall return for you. If you are not already dead by the time I get back, I will make you my personal love slave!" He spoke with glee.

"You…fiend. I will stop you." She swore. "Unlikely, especially in your present state and not to mention I will seal you in this wretched room in this wretched place. No one will find it and you are too weak to escape." He answered back.

"See you later babe!!!" The shadowy fiend turns and leaves, locking the door behind him. Leaving Ningal to a lonely, dreary fate.

Ningal tries to sit up; her body is aching and weakened due to the ordeal. "Thank goodness he didn't realize that my amulet would only work for me. Otherwise he would've tortured me to get it to work." She spoke to herself.

"I need it to get me out of here but it is out of energy. It needs moonlight to be recharged and I am sealed in here away from the moon's rays." She sobs.

But then she notices a light on the floor. A beam of light is coming from the cracks on the wall. "It's light from the moon, what incredible luck!!" She spoke with glee. She then tries to move to the light on the floor.

But her body is weak and each move she makes is painful. She slides off the mattress and crawls on her belly towards the moonlight. "Uungh!! Must…recharge amulet. Must get… to light." She spoke to herself. She almost passes out with each inch she gets closer to the light.

With her last bit of strength, she placed the amulet directly into the rays of the moonlight. She lies there; as her amulet is being recharged she tries to gather her strength and wits.

After what seemed like an eternity, her amulet was charged sufficiently enough to help her escape. "Now to get out of here." She then aims the amulet at the locked door and fires its power at the lock.

Success! There was just enough power to blow the door open. "Thank the goddess…I'm free!" Shouted the heroine. She slowly got to her feet and stumbled through the doorway.

But Ningal knows her job isn't over yet. Although she is free, she has another challenge to meet. "I must restore my amulet to full strength, then I am coming after you, you monster." She vows.
