*takes a deep breath* Well when Houjun was about the age of 18 he was engaged to a woman named Kouran. Houjun lived in a small town with Kouran and his best friend from childhood named Hikou. The three grew up together happily as three best friends. Houjun was going to give his beloved fiancee a hair pin one day(day before the wedding) because he is a sweetheart. To his surprize he found Kouran kissing his best friend Hikou. Kouran felt unworthy of him(thats right! how could you cheat on perfection!)so she killed herself. Houjun thought she killed herself because she was in love with Hikou. Angry, as any man would be, he went after his friend in rage. There was a huge thunderstorm during the fight and then fallowed a flood. Hikou fell in and Houjun grabed his hand trying to save him. A log came to his left side and hit his eye causeing him to let go of Hikou's hand. Hikou was swept away by the waters and died. Not only did this happen but his whole town was flooded in. With no place to go Houjun wandered. He finally got so depressed he threw himself into a river trying to kill himself. A young girl ,which reminded him of Kouran, saved him. Still in despair, he still wanted to die. The girl told him to not give up in life...yadadadda(i am not reciting the whole Shouryuu Den. get it yourself!). Well in the end Houjun trained with Taiitsukun for three years making him self a mask to hide the painfull scar of his past because people found it disturbing (i think its sexy.*whistles*). There he became CHICHIRI learning of his responsibilities as a seishi. Chichiri never removed his scar to remind him of the past. *sighs*
