Jupiter no Arashi By: Silver Star "Ie!" She screamed as she watched the lance thrust its point through his body. Blood bubbled out of the wound. She could hear him, whispering something, but she couldn't make out the words. She was crying now. Tears streamed down her face as she knelt and cradled his head. His hand came up to cup her face, wiping away some of the tearstains. His lips moved but no words came out. Aishiteru. She could tell that was what he was trying to say. I love you. There was warmth in his eyes. His beautiful eyes. His hand went limp. His eyes rolled to the back of his head. His head went limp. He's dead. Suddenly, everything disappeared. His blood, his body, all gone, disappeared as if they never existed. She was in the park. She recognized it. There was a yell and she turned around to see who it was. She froze, as the figure in the mist became solid. His face came out of the thick mist. It's him. She was so happy to see him. They had spends so much time together. They were happy. They were. "Gomenasai, Makoto." He said. She knew something was wrong. He never uses her full name, always "Mako" or "Mako-chan". Something's wrong. Very wrong. She saw sadness and regret in his beautiful eyes. Those beautiful eyes. She can ever forget those beautiful eyes. She moved over to make more room on the bench for him. He didn't sat down. "I- Makoto, we can't see each other anymore." He said. The world dropped away from her. She could feel herself falling...falling...falling... She woke up with a start, feeling as if she had really been falling. Tears fell down her cheeks but she wiped them away before they could make their permanent stay on her cheeks. There's no one around in the park at this time of the night. Everything was quiet except for the ruffling sound of the leaves as the wind blew across them. He left me both times, she thought, staring across the still ocean. Both times he said he loves me, she thought sadly, but both time he left me. The tears fell faster even though she tried to hold them back. "He never loved me." She whispered with a hoarse voice. "He said he loves me but he never did. It's just a lie. It's all a lie. Nothing he said was ever true..." She got up from the bench and went to the water edge. A single tear fell, making ripples on the still surface. Her eyes widened as she saw herself, a pitiful looking girl sitting on a bench in the park, sobbing, as he drove away from her, never to return. She saw herself in his embrace, telling him about that day at school. She was crying because, as usual, everybody was scared of her. She had told him that she felt lonely, and he said that as long as he is there, she'll never be alone. She saw herself leaning on him as they walked through the park. She was telling him about that day's school event and about how people were hiding from her. She then told him about her parents, about the things that happened to her after her parents died, how she thought she'll always be lonely. She remembered that he said he loves her. He said that he'll never leave her. She closed her eyes and used her hand to splash the image away. It hurts. It hurts so much when she thinks about him, about all the broken promises he made to her. About all the hurt he left her when he walked away. "Why...?" She whispered through her tears. "I thought you said you'll never leave me..." She watched through her tears as the sky turned from dark blue to light gray. Dawn is coming. A rustling sounded and she turned to see... Him. He stood there, behind her. He smiled. "Gomen ne. I didn't know anybody's here at this time." He said at last, breaking the silence spell surrounding them. He walked over and gestured to the bench she's sitting on. "May I?" Makoto moved over unconsciously, still staring with disbelieve. "I'm Kounji Nephrite." He said. "Kino Makoto." Mako replied softly. She stared into his eyes. They are so beautiful, just like his... For the first time that night, she smiled. As they watched the beautiful sunrise together, Makoto could hear somebody talking. *I was so lonely.* Makoto said sadly. *Nobody knows who I am. All they know is that I causes trouble.* He smiled at her. *You won't be lonely anymore, Mako.* *Really?* She looked at him hopefully. *Hai.* He confirmed. *I'll never leave you, Mako, never...* The End...
