After the explanations to the old men, they decided to try and seal the gate between both worlds. 
The bad thing about sealing the gate is the ultimate of creatures, Piedmon will appear in both 
worlds as clones because of the mix-up in time. Gennai and Old Timer decided to take that risk 
even though the Old Timer didn't know who Piedmon was but he wanted to guess what it was.

After this they were ready to seal the gate, but if there was one miscalculation Piedmon could 
be released. The plan was to go inside without switching worlds and put all of their power to 
create a huge ball of energy and make a seal AFTER the digidestined and digimon jump in and 
Batterballmaster would kit the ball into the hole and seal the gate. However, Piedmon's presence 
was in both worlds in they destroyed one, the other would die. The Time Bureau decided to send a 
search party to find Piedmon so they could destroy him.
