Description: Heero Yuy is the first pilot shown in the series, and in many ways, the most important. He saves the world for one ( free-falling into the atmosphere in Wing Zero, to destroy the section of Libra). He also shrugs off death like its nothing. First, when he fell into the sea in the Wing Gundam, and lived. Then when he fell 50 stories straight to the ground, and came out with only a broken leg(which he put back into place himself, and bandaged, to Duo's disgust). Next, he self-detonated Wing Gundam, and was in a coma for a month, alive still. Also, I believe he has very strong feelings for Relena (he tried, and failed to kill her many times, and winds up saving her even more). He may be very rough on the outside, but he is maybe the most empathetic, and caring of all the Gundam pilots. A small story from his past shows this. In AC188, an assassin named Odin Lowe, and his young ward-Heero Yuy were executing an assassination attempt on General Septem, it failed, so he rigged the Alliance base with explosives. Earlier that day Heero met a young girl, and her dog. Odin is fatally wounded, so Heero must trigger the explosives. After this is done, he finds the young girl and her dog in the rubble. Doctor J sees this display of emotion, and set out to totally exterminate all of these emotions from Heero.
