Chapter 6: Wufei or Tenchi?

Before Wufei could say anything, Ayeka was swept away by that guy, Tenchi. He remembered, the one from the picture. "What is he doing here?" He thought, clutching his fists in anger, feeling extremely jelaous, and stomped off the dance floor. "Wufei!!" He heard, but ignored her, leaving the room.

Ayeka watched him go, hurt written all over her face. What could have possibly caused him to leave in such a manner? Tenchi hadn't given her a chance to decline his offer, pulling her out of Wufei's arms instead. Finally realizing she was in Tenchi's arms, she looked up at him. Frowning. "What are you doing here?" She demanded.

Tenchi's eye's widdened in surprise at her harsh tone. But managed to find his voice. "I came because I missed you.....and.....I'm inlove with you....." There, he said it. He looked at her, awaiting her answer, only to be slapped hard across the face. His eyes widdened at her reaction.

"How dare you Tenchi Masaki! You have some nerve coming here, telling me this. For your information, I'm not impressed or interested....." With that, she ran off the dance floor, tears in her eyes, in search of Wufei.

Tenchi watched her go, wondering why he had upset her, and bowed his head in embaressement, aware that all eyes were centered on him.

Ayeka ran through the halls, looking for Wufei. She was deeply shocked at what Tenchi had just told her, but she no longer felt the same towards him. Her heart belonged to the Chinese Earthling. She knew she could not deny the fact that she had fallen inlove with him. Warn out from running, she sank to her knees, tears trailing down her cheeks.

Later that night.....

Wufei threw another punch at the tree infront of him. He was furious about the interuption that guy Tenchi had caused. He was just about to tell Ayeka how he felt. Damn him! He kicked the tree over and over again. Trying to relieve his anger, but it was not helping one bit.

"You can stop now." Said a familar male voice.

"Leave me alone." Wufei frowned, punching the tree.

Duo shook his head, and sighed. "You know, beating up that tree isn't going to solve anything."

Wufei narrowed his eyes, stopping, finally looking at his comrade. "And I sappose you have a better idea."

Duo shrugged, folding his arms. "Why don't you just talk to her."

"And say what? I'm madly inlove with you." Wufei said sarcastically.

"If that's how you plan to tell her." Duo chuckled lightly.

Wufei scowled at his friend, and turned away. "I'm not sure what to say to her."

Duo grinned. "Tell her how you feel, it's not that hard you know."

"Easy for you to say." Wufei answered, faintly smiling.

Tenchi paced back and forth in his room, trying to figure out how her had upset Ayeka. He didn't know why she was so angry with him. If only he could talk to her, that is, if she would let him. And just who was that guy she was dancing with? He stopped, thinking about what he was going to say to her when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." He said.

The door opened and Kamidake entered. "The Emperor would like to see you." He informed him.

Tenchi sighed, a little nevous, but nodded, and followed the red hair guard.

Ayeka walked through the palace, searching for Wufei. She had checked his room already, and he was not there. Niether was his friend Duo. He was not outside the palace either, a royal guard had told her so. Then she shook her head. He must be in the dojo, since she hadn't checked there yet. Without any further hesitation she headed in that direction.

The Dojo was faintly lit up with the gentle lights of Jurai's many moons, the stars shining bright, and the screen windows open. Wufei showed Duo a few more fighting defensed, still, the braided pilot couldn't seem to keep himself from being tossed around. Wufei chuckled as Duo came running at him, only to be thrown again to the floor.

"Tossed again." Duo shook his head, arching an eyebrow, smiling.

Wufei offered him his hand, and pulled him to his feet. "At least I didn't throw you around as much as I did last time." He joked.

"Was that a joke Wufei?" Duo's eyes widdened in shock.

"I guess it was." Wufei smiled slightly.

"Man. What did Ayeka do to you?" Duo arched an eyebrow, a side grin on his face.

"That is none of your concern Maxwell." Wufei folded his arms, smirking.

Duo rolled his eyes in response.

"Wufei." Said a soft voice.

Both turned to find Ayeka standing in the doorway, uncertainy in her eyes as she stared at the Chinese Pilot.

Duo, sensing that this was a personal matter, flashed Wufei a sly grin before leaving the room, giving Ayeka a slight nod, then closed the screen doors behind him.

Once they were along, Ayeka slowly approched Wufei and stood infront of him, bowing her head, unsure of what to say. They stood in silence for a bit.

"Ayeka.....I'm sorry." He said a moment later.

She looked up at him, searching his black eyes. "For what Wufei?"

Wufei smiled faintly, taking both of her hands in his. "For acting so immaturly, letting my emotions control me. For acting like a fool." He continued.

She chuckled lightly, joy in her eyes. "We've both been acting like fools if you ask me."

He nodded in agreement. "Indeed."

She didn't say anything at first, then looked up at him, her eyes flickering. "Wufei.....When I'm with you.....I feel like my heart has been healed.....from all the pain I've suffered. I just want you to know that?" She whispered, looking away, a tint of pink on her cheeks.

Wufei let go of her hand, tilting her chin up so that they were face to face, then took her hand again, giving them a gentle squeeze. "I feel the same way." He whispered, holding her hands up to his chest, and pulled her closer.

"Wufei....." Her voice trailed off as his lips claimed hers in a soft kiss.

"Ah hem." Said a voice, causing them to pull apart.

"Little Washu." Ayeka stammered, blushing.

"Forgot I was coming neh." She joked, grinning.

"Why did you bring Tenchi with you?" Ayeka demanded, frowning.

"Because he asked to come." Washu shrugged, putting a hand on her hip.

Ayeka sighed in defeat, knowing she couldn't blame the scientist. Tenchi came of his own free will, and look at how she had treated him. Still, she no longer had any feelings for him. And nothing could change that.

"Washu, this is Wufei Chang." She said, making a slight guesture with her hand.

"Nice to meet you." The scientist nodded, extending her hand.

"Like wise." Wufei replied, shaking her hand.

Once the introductions had been made, Washu studied the youth. "So your one of the two that my portal brought here huh?" She said, staring at him from head to toe. "Interesting."

A few minutes later.....

The four of them stood in Ayeka's room, watching the scientis work. Washu looked at the Portal's screen, studying the information, typing a few keys.

"Is she the one who built that thing?" Wufei whispered into Ayeka's ear.

"Yes." Ayeka whispered back, nodding slightly.

"She must be very smart for her age." He commented, still whispering.

Ayeka giggled. "That she is. After all, she's twenty thousand years old."

Wufei gasped, shocked. "Really. She looks like a child."

Ayeka smiled faintly. "There is much you don't know about her. I'll tell you this. She is the number on genuis in the universe."

"Ah hah! I've found the answer. You two were sent her accidently." Washu exclaimed. "Ayeka pushed a key that opened a portal into the future, and you were pulled into it by it's energy."

"So that's what that blue light was!" Duo's eyes widdened.

Washu nodded, looking at them. "You two are eight hundred years into the past."

"What!" Duo exclaimed. "That far back?"

Washu chuckled. "Yes. However. I can send you back to your time if you want."

"Can you?" Duo asked.

Washu nodded, closing her eyes, folding her arms. "To the precise moment you left to be exact."

"For real?" Duo grinned. "Man I wonder what the other guys will think when we tell them this. Wait a minute. They probley wouldn't even believe us." He frowned, arching an eyebrow.

Ayeka gasped, looking at Wufei, dreading the thought of him leaving. He seemed to have the same expression on his face as well. Then he looked at Ayeka, holding her hand, giving her a faint smile. "Ayeka....." He started when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." Ayeka said.

Kamadake opened the door and stood in front of her. "Princess. Your father would like to see you." He said, bowing.

Ayeka raised her eyebrow in surprise. What could her father possibly want at this hour. "Tell him I'll be there shortly." She replied.

"Yes your highness." Kamadake nodded, then left the room.

Ayeka stood infront of her father, who sat on his throne, waiting for him to speak. "Ayeka you are to married in a few days." He said finally.

"What!" She exclaimed. "But father....."

He silenced her by uplifting his hand. "No buts about it. You are a Princess, and you shall marry a Prince. I have chosen a fiancee for you, worthy of the throne."

"Who then?" She asked, near tears.

Emperor Asuza smiled, nodding at Osaka, who in turn opened the door, to reaveal Tenchi.

"Tenchi....." She whispered, her eyes welling up with unshed tears.

"Yes. Afterall, he is the Crown Prince of Jurai." Asuza arched an eyebrow.

Ayeka didn't know what to say, she couldn't go against her father's wished, so she did the only thing she could do. Let her tears fall silently.
