A crossover between Gundam Wing and Tenchi Muyo.
I don't own Gundam Wing or Tenchi Muyo, but the fic is mine! Enjoy!
Note: Arigato Usa-chan for some of the ideas on this fic!
Chapter 1: Impressive!
Shenlong still looked the same, even after two years. Except Wufei only used it occasionally. He stared up at the tall gundam, wondering if it would have been his only companion had he not married Ayeka. So many things in his past could never be erased. Especially when it came to the distruction of his colony. All his family, his clan, gone.
He looked away at the thought, closing his eyes, sighing. The war in outerspace had cost him and his friends so much. And it cost the Earth and the colonies a great deal, just to achieve peace.
Wufei glanced at Shenlong, then began walking out of the hanger, where all of Jurai's space ships were kept, including Ayeka's ship Ryo-oul.
Ayeka, to think they hadn't gotten along well at first. Wufei shook his head, chuckling a bit. They had been like water and oil once. Funny how time was able to fix that. She was like air to him now, and he needed her to breath.
Before he knew the Jurian Princess, there always seemed to be nothing but emptiness in his heart. What was it about her that made him feel so complete. It took sometime for him to finally realize it. And he was glad he did. She was his match in every way.
He walked into the throne room, where two separate throne's were placed on the right side for him and Ayeka, since they were Jurai's Crown Prince and Princess. Ofcourse the center was reserved for the Emperor Asuza and his two queens, Fanaho and Misaki. On the left, two thrones were placed for Ayeka's older brother, and younger sister, Yosho and Sasami.
That was Jurai's Royal family, and he was part of it. Much like Fanaho. Married into it. With a sigh, he took a seat on his throne, trying his best to relax, even though his wife was in labor. It was not easy at all.
Wufei gazed at the throne room's marble floor, where his engagement ball had been held two years ago. Allowing the memory of his first meeting with Ayeka to engulf him.
Ayeka stared into the eyes of her future husband, her eyes analyzing him from head to toe. He was handsome, and had a sense of nobility about him, even if he was not yet royalty. She smiled faintly as he lead her onto the dance floor.
He was glad Sally had taken the time to teach him how to waltz, since dancing was something he was not used to. Wufei returned the smile, taking her hand in his, and placing the other on her waist, while she placed her other hand on his shoulder. When the music started, so did they.
"Your a good dancer." Ayeka commented.
"Thank you." Wufei replied.
She nodded, unsure of what to say. Wufei felt the awkward silence come over them, and tried to think of something else to say.
"So are you good in combat?" He asked a moment later.
Ayeka looked up at him, arching an eyebrow. "What do you mean by combat?"
He chuckled sarcastically. "I mean are you able to defend yourself or are you just another weak woman who depends on a man to do all the fighting?"
Ayeka gasped in shock. "How dare you!" She scolded him, frowning slightly. "You have some nerve speaking to me like that. I have been trained in Juraian Martial Arts, and I'm learning to use Jurai's power for your information."
"Hmph." Wufei smirked, closing his eyes. "Then I guess you are worthy of being my wife."
"You guess?" Ayeka said through clenched teeth, tightening her grip on his hand, causing him to flinch. "I am Jurian and you are a mere human, who are considered weak by my people."
Wufei narrowed his eyes on her, careful not to make any notion that they were arguing. "Alright then, let just see which of us is the stronger and weaker Princess Ayeka." He whispered in her ear.
She smirked, nodding once. "Agreed Wufei Chang." With that, they continued to dance in silence, smiling at each other to make the Emperor and the crowd happy.
Wufei chuckled at the memory. What a challenge he had made with her then. And it turned out to be fun when it came to competing with her on it. Still, she did show him she was strong in many ways, including now, being in labor with their first child.
"Wufei." Said a male voice.
He looked up to find his closest friend. "Yosho." He nodded.
"Say we take a walk." The Prince offered.
Wufei shrugged and got up, walking beside Yosho as they left the throne room.
"You must be nervous." Yosho smiled.
"Very much." Wufei nodded as they walked down a hallway.
"Have you chosen a name for the child?" Yosho asked, glancing at the younger man.
Wufei chuckled faintly. "Reiko if it's a girl. Tai Zi if it's a boy." He smiled.
"Tai Zi?" Yosho raised an eyebrow.
"It means Prince in Chinese." Wufei explained.
"Ah I see." Yosho chuckled.
Wufei nodded. "Yes. We decided that I would name a boy, Ayeka a girl."
"Good arrangement." Yosho agreed.
"We had to compromise on that one." Wufei laughed.
"Indeed." Yosho laughed also. "Care to have a little sword dual while you await your child's birth?"
"How can I refuse." Wufei smiled.
Both then headed for the dojo.
Wufei held up his sword which he called Ri Shi, meaning sun eclipse, and concentrated until the aqua energy blade formed. Yosho also held up his Tenchi-ken, and allowed the blue blade to appear.
"Ready." Yosho grinned, lifting an eyebrow.
"Anytime." Wufei smirked.
Both got into a fighting stance, then charged at each other, their blades colliding instantly. They slashed at one another, jumping back, blocking moves, and flipping here and there.
Wufei was glad he was skilled not only in Wu Shu sword techniques, but also in Jurian sword play, thanks to Ayeka and Yosho. They had both taught him how to use his sword and Jurian sword defenses and offenses.
As the dual continued, Wufei remembered the time he first spared with Ayeka, and when the sword Ri Shi was given to him.
A few days after the ball.....
Wufei once again stood before Emperor Asuza, waiting for him to speak.
"My future son in law. As a future Jurian Prince, it is my duty as Emperor to give you a sword, much like my son Yosho's Tenchi-ken, to defend and protect yourself with." He informed, motioning for Kamadake to approach the Chinese youth, carrying a thin handle like object on a pillow.
Kamadake kneeled before Wufei, holding up the pillow for him to receive the weapon. Wufei bowed and took the object with both hands. Kamadake got up and bowed also, taking a few steps back.
"You name it what ever you like. Yosho will show you how to use it properly." Asuza added.
Wufei bowed. "Thank you your highness."
That was Asuza's gift to him, and he was greatful for it. And Yosho did indeed show him how to use it, along with Ayeka. She also had a sword of her own, called San Chi, the blade purple.
Yosho and her had been fencing when Wufei decided to pay them a visit. He needed to learn how to use his sword, so he wanted Yosho to teach him. Once they had finished their small dual, Yosho gave his full attention to Wufei, who inturn, was impressed with Ayeka's sword skills.
He watched as she stepped aside, and made her way to the other side of the room, where she began practing her Jurian Martial Art skills, while Yosho showed Wufei how to form the blade.
Soon enough, Wufei learned how to use his sword and was being shown some fencing skills by Yosho.
"Very good Wufei. You are a fast learner." Yosho complemented him.
"Thanks." Wufei nodded, glancing at Ayeka, who was practing a few kicks.
Yosho followed his gaze and smiled, knowing Wufei wanted to be alone with his intended. "That's all for today. I will teach you more tomorrow." Yosho smiled, before leaving the room.
Once they were alone, Wufei put his sword away and approached Ayeka slowly. "You are very skilled indeed Princess." He said, smirking, folding his arms.
"Does that surprise you Wufei?" She asked, glancing at him.
"Should it?" Wufei blinked.
Ayeka shook her head, sighing. "You are so difficult for a husband to be." She stated, scowling irratantly.
Wufei chuckled lightly. "Show me what you got, then maybe I'll lighten up on you huh." He challenged.
She turned and faced him, arching an eyebrow. "As you wish." She smirked.
They both then began to spar. Throwing kicks and punches at each other, but neither was better then the other. They were both on an equal level. So after about an hour of sparring, they called it even.
"I'm impressed." Wufei said once they both sat down against a wall.
"Same here." She agreed.
Wufei smiled at the memory, he was impressed with her fighting skills, and sword play. Yosho was also his equal when it came to dueling with their blades every now and then.
"Your skills have really improved Wufei." Yosho commented.
"Looks like I haven't lost my touch neh." Wufei smiled.
