Chapter 1: Fading Destines
5 years later.....
Duo dropped his shopping bags onto the floor of his living room, and sat down on the couch. Relaxing himself from his long day. He had been out with Serena all day, making wedding plans, and arrangments. He finally found a tuxedo he liked, and it was in that shopping bag.
The wedding was taking place in a month, and boy was he nervous, but excited at the same time. It felt good to be twenty one finally, and Serena was only a year younger than him. She always made him smile, and he was so thankful Pluto had found him, bringing him back to her.
Sighing, he picked up the remote and began channel surfing, when the door bell rang.
"Who is it?" He asked.
"Just me!" Said a cheerful female voice.
He smiled, getting up and answering the door.
Serena stood there, smiling at him. "I brought you a mango shake!" She giggled.
Duo chuckled. "Oh Sere." He grinned, using her nickname, only he was allowed to use, kissing her cheek, and letting her in his apartment.
"I thought you were going to the movies with Lita? He said, closing the door behind him.
"I was, but first, I wanted to drop by and give you this." She answered, handing him the shake.
"Oh." He chuckled, accepting the cup, and took a drink through the staw. "Mmmmm.....Delicious."
She giggled, and smiled. "I knew you'd like it."
"Your so swe....." He started, then his eyes widdened, feeling a burning sensation in his stomach, then felt himself becoming drowsy. He looked at her, feeling very dizzy, clutching his stomach.
She watched as he collasped to the floor, unconsious. A moment later, she chuckled, and where Serena once stood, Saphire stood in her place, smirking. "I've done it Brother. Serenity will now be yours."
Trista laughed at the joke Darien had just told her, walking hand in hand with him. Ever since Duo had returned, Darien and her had been dating. It started out as a friendship, then it grew deeper. She had always been attracted to him, but didn't want to hurt Serena, and at the time, Duo had to be kept a secret.
Not only had her Princess found happiness, but so had she. Suddenly, she felt the Time Portal shift, and her eyes widdened. Something had happened. She stopped, gasping.
"What is it?" Darien asked.
Trista blinked, thinking. "I'm not sure, but something has happened. I've felt it. Someone has passed through the Time Gates."
"What!" Darien exclaimed.
"I must find out what has happened." She stated, looking up at him.
Darien nodded, letting go of her hand and stepped back, allowing her to transform.
"Pluto Crystal Power!" She yelled.
When she was finished, she stepped up to Darien, who also transformed into Tuxedo Mask, and smiled faintly. "I can guess. You want to go with me."
Tuxedo Mask nodded. "Ofcourse, I won't let you do this alone."
She smiled, and nodded. "Come then, we must go to the Time Gate." She replied, taking his hand, and held up her Obi Garnet. In a silver flash, both vanished from the bridge they had been walking on only moments before.
The future, a month after the defeat of Chaos....
Heero sat on a hill, watching the sunset. He had been with his parents for a month, and he couldn't be happier. He knew this is where he belonged.
The other Gundam Pilots decided to stay for a while, claiming they needed a vacation. And they still had a hard time getting used to the idea of Duo being his father. If that wasn't enough, they had to cope with seeing the older version of him, which was something else.
Orion was chasing a butterfly, not faraway. He watched the kitten with amusment in his eyes. Orion was frustrated, and meowed.
"Orion." He called, getting up. "Let's get back."
The kitten looked up, and ran up to him. "Now. I almost caught it." The kitten pouted.
Heero laughed, and picked up the kitten. "It's getting dark, and you know how my mother can get."
Orion nodded, and hopped on to his shoulder. "Believe me I know. Queen Serenity will start worring." The kitten paused. "And so will my parents." He added.
"Exactly." Heero arched an eyebrow, and began walking back to the palace.
Serena paced back and forth around her apartment living room, waiting for Duo to call. He said he would. She had just come back from the movies with Lita, and she wondered what was taking him so long. The phone should have rang by now.
Then she heard a knock at her door. "Who could that be at this hour?" She said to herself, walking over to the door.
"Duo." She said, surprised, opening the door.
"Hey Sere." He said, taking her in his arms, and placing a kiss on her lips.
Herro gasped at what he saw. The palace was no longer shinning with silver lights, and it looked like it was fading. He ran as fast as he could. Once inside, he looked for his parents. When he reached the throne room, he was shocked to see them both frozen inside of crystals. "What's happening?" He whispered, looking around the room.
"Heero!" He heard, and saw Quatre and Wufei approching him. "We've been looking all over for you."
"What's going on. What happened to my parents?" He exclaimed.
"We don't know." Wufei answered. "When we came back, we saw this, and we wondered if you knew."
"I don't know either." He said, then clentched his eyes shut, feeling himseld fade, and fell to his knees, gasping.
"Heero!" Quatre's eyes widdened as he watched Heero's body fade to the point where you could see through him.
"What's happening to him?" Wufei exclaimed, stepping back, clentching his fists.
Suddenly there was a silver flash, and Sailor Pluto appeared with a guy dressed in a Tuxedo.
"Oh No!!!!!" She yelled, and ran up to him, kneeling beside him, pulling out a coller with a cresent moon in the middle, and quickly put it on his neck.
A moment later, Heero's body returned to normal, and he fell onto his back, still breathing hard.
Sailor Pluto stared at him, satisfied, then looked around the room, fear in her eyes. "It can't be....." She whispered, looking at the King and Queen, who were crystalized. "I don't believe what I'm seeing."
Tuxedo Masked looked around the room, wide eyed, gasping.
"What happened to my parents?" Heero asked, trying to get up, Quatre and Wufei aiding him.
"I'm not sure, but something must have happened in the past, causing this." She answered, looking at the future King and Queen, then at him. "Your begining to fade from exsistence Takeo."
"What?" Heero asked, shocked.
Sailor Pluto sighed, bowing her head. "The coller I put on you is keeping that from happening, but I'm afraid it won't hold for long." She shook her head, dread in her voice.
Duo walked in the direction of his apartment, a look of satisfaction on his face, taking out a neckless, which was hidden under his shirt, and ran a finger over the black upside down cresent moon symbol.
An instant later, he vanished, and appeared in the Nega Moon's throne room. He stared at the sleeping figure incased inside of the crystal, next to the throne, a side grin on his face. He ran a hand over the smooth layers, chuckling lightly. "Serenity is mine Prince Duo.....With you out of the way.....She'll never know it's me she's marring, not you." Diamond mused, morphing from an image of Duo, to his original for, smriking.
