Her surroundings were much different then she remembered. She remembered being in a palace with diamond chandeliers and golden banisters that lead up to beautiful rooms fit for princesses. The place she was in was extremely dark because of the missing windows and the darkly colored walls that definitely looked ridged. Jamie shook her head trying to remember something else but nothing came to mind. She leaned against the wall to help herself up get up when the wall pulsed. She pulled back, scared, and sat up. Suddenly the door opened to the small chamber and two women walked in. The doors closed quietly behind them. The two women were dressed in fine dresses. One of the women had a long purple dress and held a staff that held a crystal. She had long reddish hair and boomerang like tiara was on her forehead. The other woman had a strange band on her forehead, that her light blue hair mostly covered. She was dressed in more of a robe like clothe and smiled blandly at the frightened Jamie. "Where am I? Who are you?" She asked hysterically. There was a long silence as the two women exchanged some silent words. The light blue-haired woman put her hand to her chest. "My name is Empress Shion. This," She gestured to the red head, "Is Queen Beryl." "Queen Beryl?" Jamie whispered, "That name sounds vaguely familiar." Queen Beryl smiled. "That's because you're Negaverse. Everyone who lives in the Negaverse knows me. Not to mention you are second-in-command to only Shion and me." "Second-in-command?" Jamie thought aloud, "I just don't remember any of this!" Shion stepped in." Of course not. One of your worst enemies, Queen Serenity, Queen of the moon, made it so you slept a very long time," she replied. Her tone of voice had turned into more of a growl as she said the name of the Queen of the Moon. "That bitch!" Jamie snarled. "That's right. Now you must get out of those rags and into your uniform. A lot has changed since your sleep. You have and army to direct," Shion commanded. Then the two women left the room quickly. Jamie looked down at herself. A tattered, dirty red dress covered her body. She put her hand to her forehead. "What?" Mian shook her head when Mina offered her some coffee. "No thanks," she whispered sleepily. She glanced around herself and sighed. Raye and Darian were leaning over the fire pit making sure that fire kept blazing steadily. Nuku-Nuku was holding a fishing line of fish, grinning a toothy smile, next to Ryoko who was drooling seeing the catch. Babo was selling Nephlite a sword at an ungodly price, and Akane was arguing with Ukyo over how Ukyo should cook the fish. "Use a lot of hot spices..." Akane ordered. "I don't need to use any spices. My cooking is always great without a sexless tomboys horrid cooking advise. Do remember who can cool and who can't even make rice without something horrible happening," Ukyo growled. "Can we just cook the damn fish!" Ryoko yelled, rubbing her stomach. "Hey! Where have you been?" Nephlite interrogated, holding up an empty coin pouch. "You were suppose to be helping Nuku get food instead of more fish!" "I was looking for less expensive medical supplies for Mina. Her stock is getting awfully low," Ryoko answered defensively. Babo stopped counting his money and looked up at Ryoko. He then produced a box of medical supplies from his bag. It was stocked with tape, Band-Aids, inoculations, anti-bacterial ointments, and so on. "1000 DD. each." Ryoko looked angrily at the little Akogi. "That's outrageous!" she cried, bringing her foot down on his head. Mian jumped up. "Hey! Don't do that to the little weasel!" she yelled, missing the entire thing that had just happened. Ryoko, never removing her foot, began to protest that the weasel was holding out on them with medical supplies. Babo interrupted. "Not holding out... I said I'd gladly give it over...for 1000 DD. each..." he said in painful gasps. Mian shook her head. "Greedy little weasel," she muttered letting Ryoko return too stamping his head into the ground. Mina shook her head. "It's all right guys. I have enough supplies to last us a little longer or until we get some cheap stuff. We're bound to find some on the way to the Imperial Palace." "He shouldn't hold out on us. In a rebellion, sutlers aren't welcome. Especially high-priced and greedy ones." Akane mumbled while watching the Akogi getting a mouth full of sand. Akane gazed back over at Ukyo, who had taken the fish from Nuku and was now trying to fight her off from eating the fish. Akane slowly put her head into her hands. "How did I get stuck with all these incompetent freaks," she muttered. When no one answered her, she looked up and saw a tied and gagged Babo. Mian and Ryoko were staring at Babo's rather large bag of supplies. "You thinking what I'm thinking of?" Ryoko asked Mian. "Damn straight," Mian answered. "Guys..." Akane tried to protest but Mian and Ryoko ignored her. The two advanced on the bag as Babo tried to protest by trying to yell insults at them. Mian opened the bag, after the two had reached it, and found that it was full of small locked boxes. In the mean time, Babo had untied himself by compacting his sponge body and wiggled out of the ropes. "Oh man," the two women moaned. "Oh it can't be that hard to open," Mina argued. Ryoko smiled at Mina's idea and began to blast the boxes with lightning as Mian proceeded to try to pry them open with her strength. "Dammit!" Mian cried moments later. She threw a box at a tree, "It's made of titanium alloy. That's unopenable...." "...without the key," Babo finished for Mian, jingling a ring of keys. "Get him!" Ryoko growled. Akane sighed and walked over to Darian and Raye as Mian, Nephlite, and Ryoko attacked Babo. "Has Nuku and Ukyo decided on a recipe for that fish yet? I'm starving to death!" Akane whined. Raye and Darian shook their heads. "Nope. At this rate, we'll be eating at midnight," Raye muttered. Akane made a low guttural noise in her throat. "ALL RIGHT! EVERYONE FREEZE AND SHUT THE HELL UP!" Akane ordered at the top of her voice. Ryoko, Mian, and Nephlite froze, each of them tugging on some part of Babo's body. Ukyo and Nuku stopped arguing, dropping Ukyo's cookbook. Mina looked away from the fight. Everyone's eyes were focused on Akane. "Look, if you're going to be part of this rebellion, you have to make quick decisions, control your tempers, and learn to share without any personal gain. Otherwise, this rebellion is going to fail and all our loved ones are going to die. Do you want that?" Akane yelled at everyone. "Now I don't want to see anymore fighting. Got it?" Everyone nodded in unison. "Good. Ukyo, you have a recipe for the fish in thirty seconds. Raye? Help her. Darian and Nuku, I want you to go see if you can find any edible roots or plants for dinner. Ryoko and Babo, go through the supplies and see if there's any food or spices. Mina, Mian, and Nephlite? See if there are any people or towns around here that we can get supplies or information from," Akane ordered, "I'm going to go dig the latrine." Again, everyone nodded and went to do the jobs Akane had just given. Jamie looked her four warriors over. "How is a little girl, no older than six, a great warrior?" she growled. "Sasami is my little sister," Ayeka told her. Sasami's lip began to quiver and she fell to her knee's wailing. She's just a little girl, Jamie scolded herself. She bent down to the little girl, "Don't cry......." "SASAMI STRIKE!" Sasami cried. A large blast of energy, threw Jamie into the wall. "Note to myself: Never trust anyone under the age of ten," she muttered, impressed with the Sasami's power. End of part 1. I hope you all enjoyed this.
