Part 2: Secrets Revealed Chapter 5: More Heartache By Trachtemis "He's so heartbroken, Serena," Lizzy, Andrew's little sister, told her. Serena sighed. "Poor Andrew." "Darien isn't much help either," Lizzy muttered resentfully. Serena nearly dropped her teacup. "What do you mean?!" "He's out flirting and dating all these girls. No time for his best friend anymore." 'Other women?' thought Serena, 'Not my Darien.' Lizzy sighed. "Andrew spends all his time at some friend's house... I feel so bad for him." Serena took a sip of her tea and sat back in the booth. "Oh? So did Rita say why?" Lizzy shook her head, "Not to my knowledge. She just showed up and said it was over." Serena sighed, 'I wonder if Darien is with Andrew now.' Darien entered the arcade. Andrew had said he was a little better and had returned to work. Andrew was standing in the back of the arcade, near the machine with the toys, and was leaning against his broom. He was talking to a familiar red head, Rita. Andrew's frown showed Darien that he was still upset, but he seemed to be handling the crying a bit. Anger flared in Darien's mind. 'How dare she to come in here after what she did.' Before he knew exactly what he was doing, he was walking up to the two of them. Andrew and Rita heard his heavy footsteps and turned to him. "Hi Darien. Long time no see," Rita giggled. Andrew looked to Darien, who was not impressed with Rita's sudden giggles. "She was just leaving," Andrew growled. "Good," Darien mumbled. Rita's face went from ecstatic to shocked, "Good? I thought you'd be happy to see me..." "Why?" he snapped. Rita smiled, "I did it all for you," she whispered. "So we could be together." "What?!" Andrew and Darien both said, surprised. "Oh Darien!" Rita cried, throwing her arms around his neck, "I knew you'd be happy," She finished, sealing it with a passionate kiss. "WHAT THE... Oooh. Lizzy was right!" An angry and hurt voice cried out from the entrance to the arcade. Darien pulled away and looked to the voice. Serena was standing in the doorway. "Serena... It's..." Serena growled angrily and walked up to him. "How dare you!" She yelled, slapping him angrily across the face. "I never want to see you again," she whispered and than ran from the arcade. At the same time in the future: Neo Queen Serenity smiled at her darling husband as he poured her some tea. Teatime was everyone's favorite time. It was quiet, peaceful, and.. Anger flared around Serenity. She stood up and threw the teacup at Endymion. It crashed and broke against his forehead. "More tea dear?" he murmured. "I hate you!" Serenity hissed, before storming out of the room. Luna and Artemis watched the exchange. "It's getting worse," Artemis admitted. Luna nodded, "I'm afraid Rini isn't helping like we thought she could. I wish we could go help." Artemis looked up at King Endymion. "If they lose each other now, it's all over." Diana crept over to Artemis and Luna. "I could go. I'd be a big help." Luna and Artemis looked at Diana. "Diana dear, you can't... well it's complicated," Luna tried to explain. "Oh mom! Please, oh please, let me go. I can help. Rini needs me!" Diana pleaded and jumped back and forth. Artemis shrugged. "Luna, I agree with Diana. It's our only hope." Luna sighed, "Alright. Diana, go find Sailor Pluto. Setsuana will send you." Luna muttered reluctantly. Diana giggled happily; "You won't regret it!" Back in the Past: Mina answered her door at the second knock. "Cat litter changer," a man said. Mina hit her head. "You want to change my cat's litter box?" She said with a sweat drop hanging near her ear. The man nodded. Mina blinked. "Hey aren't you the pizza boy, electrician, roof fixer, salad guy, Jehovah Witness, cosmetic dude, cat petter, and cable guy who's been coming here uncalled all week?" "Um... got to go!" He said, running off in an opposite direction. "Weirdo," Mina muttered. Luna sat on Serena's porch. The scouts had planned a meeting to meet at Serena's over an hour ago, yet not even one of the scouts had showed. Luna felt worry build up in her chest. 'Where could those girls be? Could the negaverse have struck?' Just as Luna was about to give up hope, Amy came running up to the porch with Greg in toe. "Oh Luna! I'm so sorry I'm late. Greg and I were studying. Well he was helping me... Where is everyone?" Amy asked, as she looked around frantically. Luna looked at Greg, who smiled and waved. "I don't know, Amy. You're the first one here." "But I'm an hour late!" Amy cried. Luna nodded, "I don't know where anyone is." Amy pondered the situation for a moment. Then she twisted her wrist and punched in a code. "Mina! Raye! Lita! Serena! If you can hear me, come straight to Serena's!" Raye checked in on her grandfather. He was sleeping peacefully. The doctors said the heart attack had been extreme and that Grandpa Hino was lucky he had survived it. "Grandpa, I have to go somewhere," she told him as he slept. "Chad, will stay with you. Be back real soon." Mina walked towards the arcade. 'Maybe I can help cheer up Andrew.' She walked to the automatic doors that opened as she stepped onto the map. She entered the arcade and saw Darien and Andrew sitting at the front desk. "Hey you guys!" she declared loudly. Darien and Andrew looked at Mina sadly. "You both look like you've been dumped... I mean... sorry Andrew," Mina clumsily babbled. They both glared at her. "I'm real sorry," The beeping of her watch stopped her. "Um... I got to go. Bye!" She said hurriedly and ran off. Outside the pizza boy watched Mina say goodbye to Darien and Andrew. Jealousy flared inside him. Lita hurried toward Serena's house. 'Detention bites!' She thought bitterly. She had been given the detention for not getting in her homework and for falling asleep in class. She was way too stressed to even try to focus on school. She was beginning to have horrible nightmares about her parents' deaths again. Even worse, she was seeing them everywhere. Serena's house was right up the hill that Lita was running up. 'I hope they aren't too mad.' Suddenly she slammed into a young blonde man. He was tall and had extremely blue eyes. He was dressed in the local pizza boy outfit. Lita's eyes glazed over. 'He's so dreamy just like my old boyfriend.' The pizza boy grunted and got up. He muttered an apology and walked away. 'Oh yeah. Scout meeting. Got to get to Serena's house.' All the scouts but Serena were at Serena's house nearly ten minutes after Amy sent out the call. Luna began to pace. "Where is that girl?!" The scouts were wondering that too. Raye growled, "She's probably eating an ice-cream somewhere. That meatball head is always late!" "I think something's very wrong," Mina said worriedly. Amy nodded. "I agree with Mina, but what could Serena have got herself into this time?" Luna stopped pacing. "Maybe she's with Darien." Mina shook her head, "Nuh uh. Darien is at the arcade. I just came from there." "What about Rini?" Lita asked. Raye snapped her fingers. "That's it! Maybe she's with Rini... She's got to be." Rini looked around the city nervously and quickly spotted Darien talking to some red head. Rini's heart jumped, and she ran to Darien. "Darien!" Darien looked at the little girl who was clutching his leg. "Uh, who are you?" He asked. Rini looked up at Darien. "What do you mean Darien?" Darien detached himself from Rini. "Like I said, Who are you? I've never seen you in my life!" Rini stepped back from Darien with tears glistening in her eyes. "But Darien..." Darien began to walk away. "Daddy," Rini sniffed. Rini broke into a torrid of tears and ran from the street. Serena returned to her home after dark. Everyone was in bed except for an extremely pissed off cat. "Where have you been?" Luna hissed. "Walking," Serena muttered, shedding her clothes and getting in her pajamas. Luna growled. "Walking? That's your answer? It's after eleven!" "Sorry mother!" snapped Serena angrily. "Serena!" Luna said, worry returning to her voice. Serena pulled back the blankets to her bed, finding Rini curled up under them. "Rini?" Serena asked. Rini opened her eyes slowly and threw her arms around Serena's neck. "He was so mean. He said he didn't know me!" She wailed. "Who?" Serena wondered, taking the girl in her arms. "Darien," Rini sobbed. "Darien!" Serena hissed, "That brat! I hate him!" Rini gasped, "But Serena..." Serena turned to Rini. "How dare he treat us like that!" Luna sighed, "But you don't hate him, Serena. You're just angry." Serena shook her head. "He's been," she sniffled, "cheating." She couldn't finish. Serena covered her eyes and began to sob. "Cheating?" Luna whispered, "Darien would never do that. Did you ask him what was going on?" Serena me Luna's catty eyes. "Ask him why? He couldn't talk as he locked lips with Rita in front of Andrew. He's a vicious blowhard. There's nothing more to it!" Mina pulled on a yellow nightgown and then sat back on her bed. After the scout meeting, the scouts still had no ideas on the Rini dilemma. "Everyone's so busy in their own problems, no one has time for anything else," Mina sighed. "Just as was planned," a voice said from her window.
