Fully rested and ready to go, all nine girls and Luna prepared for the massive attack on the Shadow Kingdom. "Remember, you must only use your new powers when it is necessary, do you understand me?" Luna looked each senshi in the eye, making sure they took in every word she said. "Usako, be careful, ok?" Usagi and Mamoru walked upstairs for a few moments together before the battle. "I'll be careful, Mamo-chan..you know I will." Usagi replied. "I don't know what I would do without you..don't let anything happen to you." "I promise.." They kissed and said their goodbyes. Back in the alley, all of the senshi transformed into their regular uniforms and said in unison, "Sailor Teleport!" Everyone closed their eyes, and they disappeared from sight. Sailor Mercury was the first one to open her eyes, and pulled down her visor. She quickly scanned the area for any sign of the Palace of Shadows. "There it is..." Ami looked in that direction, signaling the others to look also. Everyone gave a little gasp. The Palace of Shadows was extraordinarily beautiful. It was a rich black building with towers and spires. The area surrounding it was a dark cloud..the whole scene looked like a dream. "Is it safe to land on that cloud thing? What if we fall through?" Usagi asked, looking at the cloud questioningly. Everyone laughed quietly, and they all agreed to land inside the palace. Usagi took a deep breath as they reached the palace and led everyonei nto the palace. "I've never seen anything like this before.." Michiru commented about the pure black interior. A dark figure appeared before them. "Who are you..." "Uhh..us? We're err...we're here to visit the Queen!" Usagi stammered. "I shall inform her highness." He drifted off into the blackness of the corridor. "But wait! That won't be necessary! HEY!! Where'd you go?!" Usagi talked into the air. The Sailor Senshi continued to walk through the long corridor. The man reappeared, and Minako almost fell to the ground in fright. "The Queen shall see you. Come with me." He motioned them to follow him, and were taken to a secluded area of the palace where there was a loarge black door about three times as tall as an average person, and intricately carved. Their guide threw open the large double doors and Queen Shadow could be seen, waiting patiently on her throne to meet these unkwon visitors, "Your Majesty, your guests have arrived." "Yes, thank you Ebonite, you may go now." He hurried out and bowed deeply as he shut the doors behind him. Queen Shadow wtood up and walked past each Sailor Senshi. "Ah..so you are my mystery visitors, eh? I assume you are the Sailor Senshi? I have heard much about you." Rei loooked at Makoto and shrugged. "I also assume you are the fools who killed my best leader, Silencis?" "We don't know anyone named Silencis!" Makoto shouted, defending the Scouts. "Ah, but of course..he never got a proper introduction did he? Too bad for him." Queen Shadow reassumed her ralaxed position on her throne. "So..do you want to tell me why.." "Queen Shadow..." Nymphis was at the door, with a crudely fashioned dagger in her hand. "So, Silencis was your best leader all along? Oh there's something I didn't know...your HIGHNESS.." Nymphis emphasized the word *highness* in sarcasm. "Nym..Nymphis?? Why are you here? Can't you see I have visitors?" Queen Shadow was shocked to see Nymphis looking so dangerous, dagger in hand. It was apparant that her intentions were on assasinating the Queen. Her hands cluthed ther dagger in a dathly grip that turned her knuckles white, and her blood-red eyes were fixed on the Queen, and took no notice the the nine girls staring at her in shock. "you abandoned me, Queen Shadow...I could have done so much better than that idiot Silencis...you knew I was much stronger and much more powerful than he was, but you chose him over me?" "No..it isn't that Nymphis...I thought you were hurt so I told him to fill in for you for a few days so you could be better!" "Liar. You lied when you told me I was the best. What can you do to convince me that you aren't lying now?" Nymphis raised the dagger above her head, ready to strike at any moment. "Don't do it Nymphis..Who will lead you if you kill me? The whole Kingdom will be ruined." Queen Shadow said, looking terrified, and trying to back away. "Look! You never finished your mission! And all the Sailor Senshi are here..arn't you going to get the Hearts?" She pointed weakly at the girls, lined up in a row before her, but Nymphis didn't even glance at them. "You weren't much of a leader anyway. And if you are not going to be alive for very much longer, why should I complete the mission that you assigned me to do because you couldn't do it yourself!" Nymphis moved the dagger to Queen Shadow's throat and killed the Queen. Then she stabbed her in the heart, blood running down her hand, and black energy coursing through her arm, covering her whole body. "Oh my goodness...I can't bear to watch this..." Usagi covered her eyes. "Eew this is gruesome!" Minako said, a dusgusted look coming over her face. Ami felt nauseated, and Rei covered her eyes. When Nymphis pulled out the dagger from Queen Shadow's chest, she threw her carcass off of the chair and sat down on it. Her evil laughter rang throughout the palace. Now, a cross between Nymphis and Queen Shadow sat upon the throne. She had large black wings, and a long black cape that covered her whole back and her legs, and was buckled near the neck. Her grey top turned into a metallic armorish piece, and she wore grey shorts. "Hahahaha...now it is your turn." She turned to the Sailor Senshi, and smiled evilly. She got up and faced Sailor Pluto. "I will finally have revenge on you, Sailor Pluto. You wanted to kill me didn't you? And you succeeded in killing my opponent Silencis, which was MY duty...but you just won't let me win...hahaha..but you know I'll win this time...both of us can't win, you know?" She smiled sweetly at Sailor Pluto who stared at her angrily. It was obvious that Sailor Pluto was trying her hardest to keep herself from slicing Nymphis' head off with the Silence Glaive. "So...why are you here anyways?" She said as she directed her vision at Princess Serenity, who in turn locked eyes with her. "We are the Sailor Senshi, and we must defeat evil! Which means you!" "Yes, yes..I know who you are already...save the fancy intros for later. But you have come to defeat us eh? I find that greatly amusing...hahahahaha..." She threw her head back and laughed. She lowered her head, grinning at Usagi and brought down a huge black ball of energy at her. Usagi moved out of the way, barely missing the massive ball. Nymphis looked at the area that she had just aimed her attack at, and smiled. "WhOoO~ Queen Shadow had some strong powers! Too bad she isn't here to watch me kill you with them..." Almost silently, Pluto whispered, "Death Chain" Black energy flowed down to the ground, but Nymphis floated up into the air, the streams of energy not being able to reach her in midair. She shot a small amount of evil energy at Pluto, and she staggered slightly, but was fine. "Golden Spacedust Storm!" Uranus yelled, and gold dust filled the air around Nymphis, blinding her for only a few seconds, for she used her wings to blow the dust away from her. Uranus stared in disbelief, her attacks never failed. "Is that your best, you pathetic girls?" Nymphis teased them. "Flame Bomb!" Fire raced all around Nymphis and exploded, surprising her greatly. Her grin turned into an evil smirk, and she threw energy balls at Sailor Mars, who tried to dogde them all, but managed to get hit by one or two. She grimaced, clutching her leg where it had gotten hit. "Love Kiss Whirl!" Venus blew kisses at Nymphis, but she countered all of them with a huge black mass that shielded her whole body. "Time Warp" Saturn said, and held out her Time Staff. Energy came out of the Garnet Orb and flew towards Nymphis, who could do nothing to protect herself from mental attack. She screamed, holding her head in pain. Sailor Neptune attacked with Massive Flood; Neptune's waters came rushing out at Nymphis who did not see the flood coming from behind. She was knocked off her feet, but got right back up, "Your measly attacks will never be able to kill me!" Nymphis flew into the air and spread her arms, energy flashing and flying towards Sailor Mars and Sailor Neptune, knocking them down, bruised and cut. Sailor Mars tried to get up, and succeeded, but staggered, about to lose her balance, but ready to fight. "Ice Shards Shatter!" Jagged shards of ice came down at Nymphis, slicing her arms, and cutting her cheek. Nymphis growled, wiping blood off her face. She hurled giant spheres of energy at Sailor Mercury, who was continually hit, being brutally attacked, fell. She tried to get to her feet, but stumbled back down. Nymphis was walking straight towards her, creating a black mass in between her hands. "Use the Sapphire, Ami-chan!" Makoto yelled. "I call upon the Ice Planet, Mercury, for the power of the Ice Sapphire!" The tiara on her head disappeared, leaving only the glowing blue sapphire which embedded itself in Sailor Mercury's chest. Blizzards originated from her Planetary Jewel, and she was surrounded by freezing ice and snow which elongated her skirt into a long skirt much like Princess Serenity's but a light blue color with a dark blue bow behind her that billowed out when she moved. White light flashed out behind her, and her home planet Mercury could be seen amidst the light. She now wore pure white gloves that were elbow length and frayed out at the elbow. As her new powers awakened, her energy was restored, and her body healed. "Mercury Lyre Ice Symphony" Mercury's Harp appreared in her hands and ice beams wrapped itself around Nymphis, freezing her for a momet, but Nymphis broke out of its grasp, and landed in a slump. Neptune who was weakening from the previous hit, also used her new powers. "I call upon my home planet's ultimate power, the Wave of Poseidon!" The sign of Neptune glowed aquamarine on her forehead, sending out streams of blue-green waters around Sailor Neptune, who was healed by them. Her skirt also turned into a long ankle-length skirt that swept the floor slightly, and both of her bows disappeared, wrapping themselves around Michiru's arms, constructing gloves made of aqua cloth. A cliff over the waters could be seen, with Poseidon holding his famous trident, giving power to Sailor Neptune. "Deep Aqua Mirror Reflection!" She held her mirror in front of her face, now glowing bright blue-green, and shouted the words of her attack. Aqua-colored water spilled over the edge of the Mirror, splashing over Nymphis, who in turn became drenched and drained. She stood weakly, her eyes still red with rage. Although she was weak, she would not let anything stop her from winning her battle. "This is my battle." She thought. "I'm fighting in my own palace...I cannot lose to just a few girls whom I defeated so many times before!" Nymphis' determination for revenge rose, and lashed out wild attacks at Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Jupiter. "Love Chain Constrict!" Venus tried to hold Nymphis back from hurting her friends, but Nymphis blocked the chain of hearts with a dark sphere. Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus were all close to death, and used their best judgement to call upon the powers that had just been introduced to them. "I call upon the Thunder Planet for the Power of the Thunder Emerald!" Thunder, lightning and leaves spiraled around Sailor Jupiter, her skirt becoming a long dress with hints of green. Her tiara disintegrated and the dark green gem rested in between Sailor Jupiter's collarbones. Her back bow elongated also, and gloves that looked exactly like Mercury's appeared. "I call upon my home planets ultimate power, the Clock of Chronos!" The floor and walls surrounding Sailor Saturn became nothing, and she now stood in black space. Everything twisted together, and streached out to make strange spiraled patterns. The insigna of Saturn glowed brightly and the long green ribbons that once made her bows now wrapped around Saturn's arms, creating lime colored gloves. Her skirt became a long light greem dress and her hair that had once been up in a ponytail tumbled freely over her shoulders, and blew slightly in the cold wind. In the black nothingness, a vague figure could be seen, holding out his right hand to Sailor Saturn, lending her his greatest powers. The Time Staff was brightening, and Saturn was rejuvinated. "I call upon my home planet's ultimate power, the Dream of Uranus!" Haruka shouted with new strength as clouds and sky came down to the calling of their great master. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back as the sign of mighty Uranus brightened, her skirt was transformed into a golden dress, and the dark blue bows made her gloves. The clouds above her head parted, showing Uranus, god of the sky, both hands outstreached to the Sailor, giving his powers to Sailor Uranus. "Io's Tree Destruction!" Bark and lightning slammed down on Nymphis, creating an earthquake that thundered across the whole palace. "Chronology Craze" Time whirled backwards and forwards and clocks jumbled into confusion as Nymphis' mind was tormented by time changes and bad memories. "Heaven's Cloud Storm!" Beautiful swirling clouds made their way towards Nymphis, who looked up in terror. Sky blue clouds shot through Nymphis, forcing her to fall with a thud onto the black palace floor. Looking around to see who was still vulnerable and weak, Sailor Venus and the staggering Sailor Mars caught Nymphis' eye. She violently shot speeding black energy at them, who could not dogde them for they were too fast for their own human speed. They were both hit, and Mars blacked out for a moment, panting from the loss of strength. "I call upon the Fire Planet, Mars, for the power of the Fire Ruby!" The shimmering ruby on Sailor Mars' forehead lifted up and embedded into her chest, and the rest of the tiara, now stripped of the jewel, dissolved into nothing but fine golden powder. Fire at her feet licked at her legs, healing her every time she felt the heat of the burning fire. The fire rose up and fell, leaving behind a reddish hued dress just like the other senshi. The bow behind her bright red, the color of fire, and her gloves a clean white. Her dark hair was dotted with black ash from the fire, creating a strange glittery effect. "Mars Bow and Arrow Flurry!" An attack of fire pointed arrows headed to Nymphis, and no matter where she moved, she would be hit by a deadly flaming arrow. Helplessly, she watched the arrows race towards her, fire burning her red eyes as she was hit, and heat spread across her whole body, and her clothes singed. "I call upon the Love Planet, Venus, for the power of the Love Topaz!" The power of love and beauty spun around Sailor Venus, closing her wounds and healing her bruises. The gold tiara removed iteself from her forehead and the gem dispatched into the air. Yellow streams of hearts came from the Jewel, attaching to the once short skirt, and making it longer and longer until it reached the floor. The Jewel finally took its place on Sailor Venus' chest, and she shouted, "Emotion Beam!" A large beam of light crashed upon Nymphis, weakening her, but she still managed to stand up, for her healing powers were intense. "So..all the Sailors have new powers..except...you?" she pointed a thin whispy finger at Princess Serenity. "Or...you?" She spun around and pointed at Sailor Pluto who had been watching the whole scene of retransforming and attacking and such. She flipped in the air and nimbly landed in Serenity's face. Holding her hand against Serenity's head, she blasted energy into the Princess, alsmost killing her instantly. "Princess Serenity!" gasped all of the senshi. Angrily, the senshi started attacking Nymphis in a chaotic manner. "Beauty Spin!" "Burning Heat Degree!" "Icicle Sword Slash!" "Heaven's Cloud Storm!" "Electric Lightning Bolt!" Nymphis jumped to the high domed ceiling, watching the powerful attacks collide at her former position. She shuddered for if she had been hit by the combined attacks, she would surely have died. Now having the advantage of height, she quickly blasted down dark balls of energy at each of the Sailors except Sailor Pluto. They all fell unconcious, and she walked over Sailor Mars. "You seemed to be a firey little one didn't you? I like that...maybe I should add that to my own personality..what do you say?" She outstreched her hand over Sailor Mars' collapsed body. Her body started to glow a bright white as Nymphis drained the Pure Heart from Sailor Mars. "Stop it!" Sailor Pluto screamed and ran towards them. As she neared them, Nymphis' foot flew into Sailor Pluto's stomach, making her double over in pain. Nymphis quickly swallowed the small crystal that was the Pure Heart. She grew more powerful, and somehow became taller and larger in every aspect. "huh?..Rei..Chan!!" Usagi cried weakly as she desperatly tried to think of something that could possibly save her best friend Rei. Serenity mustered up all of her strength to say, "I, Princess Sernity of the Moon Kingdom call upon my home for the power of the Moon Diamond!" Pink and white ribbons gathered at her chest and burst out all over Serenity's body, and her dress turned pure white and she grew transparant wings from her shoulders. Her small silver tiara became enlaced with gold, and her eyes shimmered with light from within. The sign of the moon shone on her chest for the new power of the Princess had been awakened. "Diamond Sparkle Justice!" The diamond resting on her tiara lifted out of place and shattered on the floor, the shattered pieces flying at Nymphis who was hit by the most powerful attack that the Princess had in store. Serenity fell, her diamond now broken. The only Sailor remaining concious was Sailor Pluto who was kneeling on the floor, still hurting from the powerful kick. Nymphis was lying on the floor, shocked and weak from all the attacks. They both stood at the same time and wobbled towards each other. Their eyes met, knowing that the kingdom of justice or the kingdom of shadows would prevail with this one last battle. Nymphis took out her dagger, and Pluto grasped her Glaive. She helf the Glaive close to Nymphis' neck, and Nymphis pointed the sharp dagger at Pluto's heart. "This way, I win...and so do you." Sailor Pluto said. "Yes, I get my revenge and you get my life." As soon as the two women's words were finished, Pluto killed Nymphis with a powerful slash of her Silence Glaive, and at the same time, Nymphis thrust her dagger at Pluto's heart. Both fell, bloody and dead, their carcasses lying on the floor. A clear image of Pluto rose up from her body. Pluto knew she could sacrifice herself, she knew she would be reborn again. "One thing you didn't know was that we won, Nymphis...you lost no matter what." The spirit of Pluto renewed all the lives of the Sailor Senshi with her healing powers, then the spirit disappeared into thin air. "Hotaru come back!" Serenity yelled, sobs coming on. They saw her dead body next to Nymphis' and guessed what had just happened. "It's alright Usagi-chan. You know we'll see her again" Rei said comfortingly. Everyone knelt at Pluto's side, giving her their silent thanks. They finally regained posture, stood in a circle, and said the familiar words, "Sailor Teleport!" Far off in the distance, Luna saw bright flashes of light. "Ahh..finally..they must be returning." And it was true. The Sailor Senshi were returning back to Earth, returning home.
