The One Way Door

Part One- The Door

The soft warmth of a spring morning sun spread over Ryo-Ohki's little brown body. Out of small, beady, yellow eyes Ryo-Ohki saw a glorious spring day out of a nearby window. With her little button nose she smelled frying eggs; and with her huge cabbit ears, she heard the rustling of bodies downstairs.

It was a normal morning for the Masaki residence. At the breakfast table Mihoshi was sitting next to her Galaxy Police partner Keonie, and was babbling on about her past adventures and how her and Keonie were the best partners ever. Keonie though had different thoughts about Mihoshi's subject because Mihoshi was the reason that the duo was demoted from the Galaxy Police Headquarters in the first place. Next to the latter persons was Juraiian Princess Ayeka and the Wanted Space Pirate Ryoko who loudly bickered over a sandwiched Tenchi who just happened to sit between the two. Tenchi's father and Grandfather sat at the ends of the table. The Father was suppressing a laugh from Ayeka and Ryoko, while the Grandfather listened politely to Mihosi's stories.

Ryo-Ohki got up and stretched, baring her teeth and sticking out her tongue like house cats do. She then pricked up her ears and bounded down the steps. She ran to the feet of Princess Sasami, Ayeka's younger sister, who was making the morning omelets and let out a long yowl. Sasami looked down and smiled at the hungry Ryo-Ohki and smiled; she offered some cooked carrots that were part of the ingredients for the "Super Great Tasting Vegetarian Omelets." Carrots being her favorite food and virtually the only thing she ate, the little cabbit wolfed down a whole helping of five carrots (which isn't much by cabbit standards).

It then hit her; Washu wasn't at the table. Ryo-Ohki zoomed into The Mad Scientist Washu's Lab and conducted her own little search. Figuring that Washu was in the back of the literally endless lab, Ryo-Ohki gave out a long meow to signify her presence then sat down.

About three minutes passed which seemed like an endless eternity for a cabbit who's curiosity nipped at the back of her head. She decided not to wait for Washu after all and was about to leave, until something shiny caught the same beady yellow eyes. As I said before about a cabbit's overwhelming curiosity, Ryo-Ohki leapt right over to the sparkling door. Not thinking twice about the dangers that lie before her, Ryo-Ohki nudged the portal open…
