Story Summary
At age 16, Sora comes to America from Japan to join the Kaleido Star circus. Ever since seeing the Kaleido Star as a child, she has wanted to perform there. When she arrives late for the audition, she fears she'll never get in, but a mishap before the show gives her an opportunity to perform. After her slightly clumsy, but good effort during the show, she is allowed to join, but faces fierce competition from Kaleido Stars top performer, Layla, and high expectations from the boss, Kalos. Sora makes friends with 2 other performers, Mia and Anna, and together they work hard to reach their dreams and make Kaleido Star the best it can be.
