The steps to owning your first goat1. Choose a breed If you are buying a registered goat from an NZDGBA member it will be transferred into your name and you will be supplied a pedigree from the breeder. A good breeder will also tell you what food the goat is used to eating and explain drenching and mineral supplements. You may also like to discuss with the breeder about bringing your does back for mating.
