Tenchi Muyo is about a teenager called Tenchi Misaki. He lives near a shrine with his father and grand father. One day, he awakens the demon that had lain dormant on the shrine grounds for 700 years. Ryoko, the demon becomes fixated on him. Following Ryoko, Princess Ayeka of Jurai along with her little sister Sasami. With the apperance of the princesses, Ryoko and Tenchi are dragged on board Ayeka's ship. Chaos ensues and Ayeka and Sasami are stranded on Earth. Joining the fray later on are Mihoshi, a Galaxy Ploice officer after Ryoko, Washuu, the greatest scientific genius in the universe, Tsunami, the Goddess of Jurai and many more. And caught up in the middle of all this is Tenchi Misaki.
