Pluto’s Son Written By the Lord of Shadows - Leonardo Bigan Castro Disclaimer: I don’t own Ranma ½ or Sailor Moon. They belong to their creators. This fanfiction was done solely for fun and no profit will come from this. Those who are alone and distance usually have a tragic past. They need someone to fill the missing parts of their souls. Be it kin, lover, or beloved, we all need someone in our lives. Story - Prologue Ranma Saotome was battling with Ryoga Hibiki. “How dare you insult Akane’s cooking.” Ryoga bellowed as he charged. Ranma sidestep and launched a counter-attack. “I’m just telling the sexless uncute tomboy the truth, P-chan.” Ranma shot back. “Stop insulting Akane. And stop calling me P-chan.” Ryoga screamed as he once again attacked Ranma. Ranma effortless dodged again and kick Hibiki in the gut. Ryoga slid back three inches, then charged Ranma again. Damn, I wonder what Ryoga did to make himself this strong. Ranma pondered the issue as he hit Ryoga in the face. Ranma knew he had to end this fast. He was tired from lack of sleep and an early morning malleting. He was at a great disadvantage here. Then as he charged, the shabby repair job to the sidewalk that occurred a month ago, cracked under the power of the two combatants and broke up. Ranma unfortunate tripped over one of the broken pieces. He righted himself in mid air, but then the only thing he saw afterwards was green light, then, he felt himself fly into the wall. He was dizzy, but he could sense Ryoga was going for the finish off. In Juuban, a girl with long coal-black hair and pale skin stared into a shrine’s sacred flame. Her name was Rei Hino. She looked into the fire, her mediation was complete and now she was looking at the images in the roaring flame. The image of a green hair boy, with the sigil of the moon and the sigil of Pluto over lapping each other on his forehead, appeared in the flame. The image turned into a green hair girl with the same two sigils over-lapping each other on her forehead. She looked like the first boy; maybe she was his sister. Is it my imagination, or does she look like Setsuna? Rei thought to herself. After an hour of non-stop martial arts combat, it appeared Ranma was going to lose because he tripped on the broken the ground while trying to deliver a chestnut fist. Ranma righted himself in time to see Ryoga hit him with a Shi Shi Hokodan. Ranma flew into a nearby wall. He fell to his knees. Ryoga was ecstatic. He almost couldn’t fire the another ki blast because he was happy that he’d finally defeat Ranma. “Bye Saotome.” Ryoga said as he released another shishi hokodan. Ranma’s eyes glazed over. The image of blond man with pale skin charging at him with a sword in his hand. The man wore a gray uniform, white gloves, and coldest blue eyes he had ever seen. Ranma stood up, still with the image of the man, Jadeite, charging at him. A staff appeared in his hand and blackish violet energy, swirled around Ranma. He pointed it towards the image. “Dead Scream.” Ranma said. A violet ball of magical energy appeared at the tip of the staff. It shot out and flew towards the shishi hokodan. It over powered the depression fuel ki blast and slammed into Ryoga. Ryoga let out a scream before bring knocked through a wall and passing out. Ranma leaned against the metal staff for support. He slowly walked away, careful not to further damage himself. What the hell was that? Ranma wondered. He learned a new attack on his way to the store to buy his black hair dye. Ranma looked at the mithril staff in his hands. With was he going to do with this thing? For some reason, he couldn’t part with the staff. It was as if it was his by birthright. It was a training tool for his real inheritance. And why was it shaped like a huge key? It looked weird, I wish it could vanish for awhile, Ranma wished. Then the staff disappeared. A thought occurred to Ranma. He willed the staff into existence and it appeared. Then he willed it to disappear again. This might be handy, Ranma thought to himself. Sailor Pluto looked through the Gates of Time. Altering events to bring about the creation of Crystal Tokyo. Then she sensed him. He was in the Nerima district. She looked through the gate to where she sensed him. A close up image of Ranma appeared. His hair had been dyed black, but he missed a spot and it had little bit of green showing. He tied into a pigtail instead of letting it grow. But those blue eyes, those of his past life father’s eyes. He was the one, he had been reborn. He was somewhere around seventeen years old. Just the right age. Sailor Pluto knew this day would come. Pluto sunk to her knees. ‘But what if he doesn’t like what I had become.’ Pluto thought to her self. She had become a cold and distance person, she was no longer the happy and caring woman she once was. She looked at the Gates of Time. “My son. Finally we will be together again. This time, nothing will hurt you.” Pluto vowed. Pluto regained her composure. She looked back in the Time Stream to see her son’s past. To see how he was raised and what kind of man her little Ranma was. She smirked when she found out that he somehow kept his original name. Ranma was turned into Ranko due to the ladle lady perfect timing. Then Tatewaki Kuno charged out from nowhere and tried to glomp Ranko. “Pigtail girl. Let us --- urk.” All what Tatewaki was about to say was cut off when Ranko punted him to downtown Nerima. “I wish that someone would help me with these problems.” Ranko prayed. Ranko started to look for hot water again. She wondered if she should or shouldn’t dead scream Kuno next time they met. Kuno, was flying hundreds yards out of Nerima. He would have continued straight to Okayama if he had flew straight into some crystallized spaceship named Ryo-oh-ki. “What type of demon is this.” Kuno said out loud. He started to strike the ship with his bokken that he concealed in his kendo robes. Before that moment, the cabbit ship was going to land to let the human off. But now, she just shook him off. Sailor Pluto gripped her Time Key tightly. One thought ran through her mind. Genma Saotome will die painfully slow. She vomited when she saw Ranma thrown repeatedly into the pit of starving cats while rapped in cat food. She knew in the dark corner of her mind, she’d keep the tortured screams of her son in her head. She also nearly when into violent rage when she saw how many times Genma had sold off Ranma. The two fish, rice, and a pickle really pissed her off. Then she started to curse Genma out loud when she saw how many times Ranma got in trouble because of Genma’s drunkenness got her planning for a Genma’s torturous death. Then the ‘Spring of the Drowned Girl’ really took the cake. The only thing that saved Genma from getting a Dead Scream up his ass, was the fact that Pluto gained the ability to control her emotions a long time ago. She just arranged things so that he’ll anger the law or Yazuka. But Genma will pay for hurting her son. No one will ever harm Ranma as long as she still breathes. She continued to look at her son’s present life. He got an abusive and violent fiancée that hits him with a mallet. His old friend Ucchan is his fiancee and is in love with Ranma, sadly, a type of love that Ranma can’t return. He has an Amazon following him declaring that Ranma is hers through Amazon Law. She knew Ranma was two wild and free to let the Amazons bound him as a second citizen in some rustic old village. Last of the current girl problems is that crazy gymnast Kodachi. Her laugh alone was an attack. She would always try to poison her son or use some kind of paralyzing gas on Ranma so she could rape him. Then there was Tatewaki how trying to marry and kill him at the same time. Then Ryoga trying to steal Akane and giving Ranma a headache along the way by attacking him. Then Mousse who was blind and attacking Ranma to win his Shampoo’s heart. Then came Cologne, Happosai, Herb, Taro, Tomoe, and Nodoka with that crazy pledge, and many more. And lastly, it led to the Demi-God Saffron. Somehow he survived it all. He was used by Nabiki, hurt by Akane, assaulted by his so-called friends, controlled by Genma and Cologne, and kept his sanity. He battled with a Kami and torn him apart. He willingly taken abused from many people, and still lived and not killed his tormentors. He has risked his life for those who wish him death many times without a second thought. This made Pluto proud of her son. She doubted that any of the Senshi could handle Ranma’s life. At rate in power goes, he was as strong as Sailor Moon in Serenity form wielding the Silver Imperial Crystal. Then she heard Ranma’s prayer. She smiled as a thought occurred to her. She entered the time stream once again. Pluto appeared in front of Ranma in civilian human form. Ranma had just left Ucchan as he change back into a man with a cup of hot water. “Hello Ranma,” Setsuna Meiou said with a curtly bow, “I am Setsuna Meiou.” Setsuna looked closely at Ranma. He still looked the same as he did in the palace many years ago. Well maybe he looked younger. “Look, if you’re another fiancée, sorry, but my Pops engaged me more than once.” Ranma said. Dammit, why do I was have a fiancee coming to take me away. Ranma thought to himself. “No, but I can help you with your problems if you’ll let me.” Setsuna said in a calm tone. The thought ‘Genma will die’ kept running through her head although. Oh great, another one of those people. I should just humor her and maybe she’ll go away, Ranma thought to himself. “Go ahead, give it a shot.” Ranma said half-heartily. “Close your eyes.” Setsuna said. Ranma did so. Then Setsuna and Ranma vanished in front of the open door to Ucchan’s. “RANMAAAA,” Ukyo screamed panicky as Ranma and Setsuna vanished. She leapt over her counter and run towards where her Ranchan disappeared. She burst outside of her restaurant and tried to find any trace of him. “RRRRRRRRRRAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNMMMMMAAAAAA” Ukyo cried out, as she couldn’t figure out what had happened. Ranma opened his eyes and noticed he wasn’t on the street anymore. He looked around and saw Setsuna in Sailor form standing in front of the Gate of Time. She had a familiar staff in her hand, but he couldn’t place it. “Where the hell have you taken me.” Ranma demand as he walked up to Setsuna. Setsuna was shock to see the angry face on her reborn son. “Touch the Gates of Time and all shall be made clear.” Pluto said as she disappeared. “Hey wait.” Ranma said but was too late. No trace of her what so ever. He wasn’t going to let his kidnapper boss him around. Great, it usually the tomboy that gets kidnapped. I bet that she is laughing her head off now that the roles are reversed. Too bad, she won’t be able to beat Pluto and get me out of here. Wait minute, why am I calling Setsuna Pluto? Ranma wondered. His head hurt, so he rested and just waited. Cologne was taking orders from a customer when a distraught Ukyo came rushing into the Cat Café. She was mumbling something about green haired woman grabbing Ranma. Cologne tapped her calming pressure point and the girl quieted down. “What is it child.” Cologne asked. Shampoo, who was taking an order from a customer, tiled her head towards those two. “A green hair woman kidnapped Ranma in front of Ucchan’s.” Ukyo said, amazed that she had stopped crying. Half the customers there let out a cheer, while the other half let out cries of out rage or sobs of despair. Shampoo pulled out her bonbori out of no where and ran outside to search for her Airen. Mousse laughed and cheered as confetti shot from his robe sleeves. Ryoga picked himself out from the ground and dusted himself off. Damn, he got too careless. Ryoga chide himself. He let Ranma beat him again. He failed, and this time, he knew the price was too high. He had to find Ranma again. He was surprise when Kasumi asked him to open a jar for her. Not that he was mad or anything, but wasn’t he outside a few minutes ago. “Hello Kasumi. Did you guys moved to the other side of Nerima.” Ryoga asked as he easily popped the lid off. He handed it to her and looked around. “Sorry Ryoga, but we didn’t move anywhere.” Kasumi said. Ryoga- kun was so funny. Talking about them having moved to places such as Naboo or Macross. Whoever heard of such weird places. Ranma waited for long enough; he stood up and walked as far away from the Gates of Time as possible. When Ranma turned around to see how far he got, he was surprise to see he was only three yards away from the Gates of Time. Ranma briefly remember walking for at least one hour. He ran to the past the left side of the Gates of Time, for what seemed liked ten hours. Then he stopped, and rested. He was bent over, with his hands on his knees. He was panting, and his body was covered in sweat. He ran full out as if the Gates of Time was c-c-c-c-c… one of those things. He turned his head and looked over his shoulder. He was glad when he didn’t see anything other than the mists. A smile formed upon his lips, and then he straightened up and walked forward. He brought his head back to see forward and then he paused in his steps. The smile now lost. He sunk to his knees in the unbelievably of his situation. In front of him, three yards away, was the Gates of Time. Ranma waited for an hour before walking up and touching the Gates of Time. He felt unbearable pain. He tried to pull his hand back but it wouldn’t move an inch. He threw back his head let go a bloodcurdling scream as a lifetime of memories from his past life on the Moon Kingdom was forced into his mind. Ranma fell limp as the last of his old memories integrated into his mind. Ranma woke in unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar apartment as well. “Another unfamiliar ceiling.” Ranma said to himself as he looked up at the ceiling. He noticed motion to his side, and looked there. Setsuna was sitting on a chair. “Ranma are you okay.” Setsuna asked. Ranma could hear the concern in the Senshi of Time’s voice. He was glad he could hear that soothing voice once more. “Yes Mom. For God sake, couldn’t find a less pain way to awaken me mother?” Ranma asked as he started to sit up. His head hurt and his body ached. He felt as if Ryoga and Mousse was practicing their moves, on him. “It was the quickest way and with the best results.” Setsuna said with a smirk. She was happy to have her son back. Her loving caring son has returned home. She thought she would never see him again. “Does everything have to be quick and painful with you.” Ranma asked. It was habit of his mother. Ranma reasoned with his self. Everything had to be swift and fast, which always meant that it’d be painful too. “No, you were not quick but very painful.” Setsuna said. Ranma realized what Setsuna meant. “Well it was worth it wasn’t it.” Ranma said. “Yes, it was.” Setsuna said. Ranma looked around his surrounding. He saw the mirror and stood up and walked over to it. He took a look at his himself. His hair was his natural green color instead of it being dyed black. He was wearing his white uniform from the moon kingdom. From his white fur cape to his sprinkling clean white boots, was spotless. He also saw his trusty broadsword in its scabbard that was attached to his leather black belt. “I got you dress for the occasion” Setsuna said. Setsuna looked at her child with pride. She couldn’t help but feel proud of Ranma when he was in that uniform. “Thanks, I think. I wonder what the other would say if they saw me dressed up.” Ranma said wistfully. That would be a great sight to see. They’ll chase me around thinking it some kind of fancy tuxedo. “You can check on them if you want. Remember, every Pluto can look into the past, present, and future while her offspring can see only what is happening presently at the moment.” Setsuna reminded Ranma. Ranma closed his eyes and concentrated. He looked towards the Tendo Dojo and saw… To Be Continued… Praise me or burn me…but at least tell me what on your mind.
