1) What is 'The Nede Chronicles' about?
The Nede Chronicles is the prequel sit-com to Fantastic Fiction. Whereas Fantastic Fiction took place on Expel after the game, The Nede Chronicles takes place on Nede, during the game. And, as you might have guessed based upon the name, it is named after the job in which Chisato works at, the Nede Chronicles offices.
2) Who are the main characters of The Nede Chronicles?
The 12 original Star Ocean 2 characters compromise the list known as the main characters. Keep in mind, though, that some of these characters might appear more often than other characters....
A) Claude Kenni - Claude is an easygoing young boy who often serves as the focus to the surrounding occurrences....
B) Rena Lanford - an extremely sweet young girl, Rena often gets caught in the middle of the inflow of events caused by the other characters.
C) Ashton Anchors - Unlike Chisato Madison, an optimist, Ashton is a pessimist at heart; he always looking to the downside of things often. He will often be placed under the wackiest situations of all the characters, partly because of his own doing ( and is usually the result of his lack of good luck ).
D) Precis Neumann - Precis is a kid inventor, who is at times even more optimistic and hyper than even Chisato. Like Ashton, she often finds herself caught in abnormal situations; however, this is not a result of her "un-luck," as it usually is in Ashton's case.
E) Noel Chandler - Noel is the famed Zoologist of the planet Nede. He is a very peaceful and surreal person, who lives in Giveaway. However, he has been known to often retreat to his research home near The Cavern of Red Crystal. The relationship between him and Chisato eventually swells into something more....
F) Chisato Madison - Always optimistic and ambitious, Chisato is a reporter for The Nede Chronicles office, which often plays an important role in the scheme of things....
3) Who are the side characters of The Nede Chronicles?
Like the main characters, the side characters also play a role in the unfolding of events, though they might not appear on all of the episodes. Keep in mind that a side character has the ability to earn the position of a main character, if they were to appear in enough episodes. The converse is also true. Not all of the side characters who will appear in the series are shown here, but - for the time being - the side characters are as follows:
A) Artis - Head researcher of the North City Synyard facility. While he himself is not easily agitated, some of his researchers are rather picky....
B) Marianna - the consultant for the Nede Defense force, Marianna should play an increasing role in the episodes ahead....
C) Narl - the mayor of Central City, Narl is a laid back person who is often the center of complaint because of the rebellious actions of the main characters....
D) Mirage - Defense force Weapons specialist, Mirage is not to be taken lightly....
E) Arnon - Arnon is the head of the Tool Shop, Reverse Edge. He is a very insistent individual, and is always trying to get his customers to buy his products....
F) Kim - Head of the Hyper-on-Hyper weapons shop. Unlike Arnon, he is a very easy, laid back man, who still might be disappointed if things don't go his way, but never is too imposing.
G) Joyce Iliad - fellow staff member of the Nede Chronicles office, Joyce often finds herself in competition with Chisato. While not direct enemies with Chisato, she can be annoying at times....
H) Kramden Grant - the editor-in-chief of the Nede Chronicles, Kramden's prestige enables him to associate with big business....
4) Where does The Nede Chronicles take place?
Besides being set on the planetoid Nede (obviously), the primary setting for the Nede Chronicles is throughout Central City. However, other locales might play a role as well, such as Fun City or Giveaway.
5) How long will the series last?
The Nede Chronicles will be in production for as long as I can keep concocting episodic ideas. However, to give some sort of relation, The Nede Chronicles should last for about 50 to 100 episodes....
6) What features set it apart from Fantastic Fiction?
The Nede Chronicles should be more structured and polished than Fantastic Fiction. Part of the reason for this is because jokes are incorporated realistically into the recurring speech of the characters, not tacked on. Also, there is a greater sense of location, time, and purpose within this new sit-com than there was in Fantastic Fiction.
Other smaller features also made it into the mix. For starters, each episode is logically divided by commercials, just like a real 30 minute show! Also, there is a specific beginning tag and an end tag, much like in the hit television show Seinfeld TM, which The Nede Chronicles is heavily based upon.
7) What design revisions has The Nede Chronicles gone through?
Originally, The Nede Chronicles was planned to have a completely new cast of Characters - with the exceptions of Chisato and Noel. However, due to a large request for the original characters, it has been decided to revert back to using the characters which we all know and love.
The advantages to this are significant. By using characters that we are already familiar with, the potential to expand on their established personalities lies therein. Instead of having to familiarize the reader with the personalities of the new characters, the advantage of already having passed that point exists - which allows for the episodes to take their personalities that one step further.
