Chapter 8: Futures are Guaranteed "Kunzite! Kunzite! It's me! Minako! What are you doing!" Venus managed each phrase through choking gasps. Kunzite did not react. "Kunzite! Don't do this to me! Don't you remember? I LOVE YOU!" Venus sobbed, fighting for consciousness. Queen Beryl sneered at Venus' desperate struggle. "Don't fret, Sailor Venus, he still loves you. He only yelled it out one hundred some odd times before I brain washed him," Beryl held her head in her hands, "enough to give me a headache!" Venus' eye's blazed in anger. "I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!!!" Venus screamed fervidly. She kicked to get free of Kunzite's grip, "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY KUNZITE? WHEN I GET LOOSE I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Beryl watched, amused, as the young warrior strangled to death in her own lover's grasp. The Queen stood suddenly. "I will NOT tolerate this tyranny!" she stated. She raised her hand, and a golden moon wand appeared before her. The Silver Imperium Crystal rested in the moon's curve. She took it in her hands and held it above her head, crying, "In the name of the moon, I will send my daughter, he lover, and her guardians to the future earth where they can be reborn to live happy, normal lives!" "Your majesty, no!" Venus managed to gasp, "if you use the Crystal, you'll die!" The Queen nodded slowly. "Yes. But the lives of my Serenity and her friends are more important to me than my own. Use you second chance at life well." Queen Beryl shielded her eyes as the crystal illuminated bright purple. "I can't take this light!" she screeched, "I will be back, and next time, the Negaforce will prevail!" Her body slowly disintegrated, but her spirit flew back to the Dark Kingdom shrieking and cackling the whole way there. The light enveloped Serenity and Endymion, as well as the four guardian Sailors and the four generals holding their bodies. The light surrounded each one, forming protective bubbles around them. The bubbles were suddenly drawn into the Silver Crystal, and with that, the blazing light began to fade. The Queen collapsed from exhaustion, knowing that she had used all her life energy. A single tear fell down her cheek as she breathed her last words: "In the name of the Moon, you will be free again."
