Subbed or Dubbed?
People are always asking "Which is better, subtitled or dubbed Slayers?" Well, I personally like the subbed ones. But, for the heck of it, I made a list of good things about both and let you decide!
A list of pros
(In case you haven't noticed, I'm very redundant)^_^*
~*~Dubbed
Pros:
-No reading of funny, small, blurred words at the bottom of the screen.
-Your friends won't wonder why you have video of cartoons in another language.
-The English voice actors usually aren't as good, like David Moo as Xelloss(ick).
~*~Subtitled
Pros:
-The added chan, san, sama, kun, whatever! on the names. I luv that!
-The actually Japanese words, like having mazoku instead of monster.
-Zel and Xelloss's sexy Japanese voices.
~*~A note on fansubs
-When you buy fansubs, make sure you buy GOOD fansubs. I got Slayers TRY fansubbed really poorly.
Example:
Really says: "My name is Zelgadis. I am a chimera."
Fansub says: "My name is Zelgarudis. I am I cyborg."
-While this can be funny sometimes, it is also annoying to get things like, "We is going to town." and refering to Phibbrizo as "Hellmaster Pedroso." ô.O
