Hey-o! Crescent Moon’s here. Here’s Chapter Eight. Enjoy! The New Sailor Moon: Episode Eight “Luna? What’s going to happen now that we have a general on our side?” Serena asked her cat the next morning. “I’m not sure, Serena. I think that it means that we have a better chance to find our Princess’ fiance. We also get to have him on our side, which means more help. Maybe he can convince Tuxedo Mask to stick around more after a fight,” Luna replied. “Tuxedo Mask hasn’t stuck around for a whole fight since the beginning. And I don’t even remember that all that well. It was more like a dream to me, rather then something I did during the early morning hours.” Serena laughed at herself. Luna did too. “We should go check on Raye,” Luna said. “Can’t. I’ve got school in an hour. I better get ready!” Serena jumped up and started getting ready for school. She wondered what Jade- Jeff would be doing during the day with Raye’s grandfather. Serena and Luna left half an hour before school started, so Serena could actually walk. They met up with Amy and Raye on the way. “So, Raye, what’s Jeff up to today?” Serena asked. “Jeff said he’d clean the entire temple and start fixing up the lawns some more. Grandpa went on a trip to visit his sister. She’s sick, I guess. He’ll be back within a few weeks, depending on how well she does.” Raye shrugged. “He called this morning, but didn’t say much.” “Luna, since Jadeite turned out to be one of us, does that mean that any other generals we go against will be one of us, too?” Amy asked. “Serena asked me that earlier, sort of, and I’m not sure. If we had the Prince here, we’d be able to determine that. I’m afraid Jad- I mean, Jeff doesn’t remember who he was during his time in the Negaverse, so he wouldn’t know if the other generals are there. In the mean time, we should continue to search for the Moon Princess. Jeff can worry about his Prince and, like I told Serena, maybe get Tuxedo Mask to help us out more and stay after.” Luna sighed. They then entered the school’s courtyard, seeing Mina and Lita. (I know they haven’t made much of an appearance, but they’ll be big later on, and you know it! ;@P) The five girls giggled and talked until they had to go to class. ~3 o’clock that afternoon~ The final dismissal bell rang. Serena, Amy, Raye, Mina, and Lita were all in the same last hour class, and the same homeroom, so they all went to their lockers together and got their stuff. As they exited the school building, Raye gasped. Jeff was there, looking for her. “Jeff!” she called. “Hey! Jeff!” Raye ran over. “What are you doing here?” she asked him. “Looking for you. I finished cleaning, and the lawn’s done, so I got bored and decided to explore the town. I found this school and decided to see if you went here. I had feeling you did, Lady Mars,” he said, grinning his special grin. Raye couldn’t help but grin back. “Hey Raye! Is this your new boyfriend?” asked Lita. “Yeah, girl. Have you been holding out on us?” Mina chimed in. “Mina, Lita, this is Jeff. Jeff this is Mina and Lita, my two other friends. You know Serena and Amy,” Raye said, introducing them. “Pleasure to meet you ladies. Uh, Serena, can I talk to you for awhile? I have some questions for you.” Jeff seemed kind of odd. “Sure. I’ll catch you guys later. How about we meet at the Crown Cafe in half an hour?” Serena suggested. The others agreed, and headed off, Raye giving Jeff and Serena a look of questioning. “Later.” Serena mouthed to Raye. The two walked a different way than the others. “So, what did you want?” asked Serena. “I was wondering if I could scan your mind. Like Raye’s priestess thing, only I can do it deeper, because I still have my memories of the past. I can’t remember there ever being a scout of the Moon. By the way, who’s Tuxedo Mask?” “Tuxedo Mask was called Earth Knight, but that was a just a hoax or something. I suppose you could scan my mind. Do you think you’ll be able to see anything?” “I don’t know. Now, just relax, and take deep breaths.” Jeff placed his hand on the front of her head. He closed his eyes and concentrated. Soon, Serena’s memories of her life flooded Jeff, but he couldn’t get past a silver wall that obviously held some memories Serena wasn’t supposed to remember. He opened his eyes to find that ten minutes had gone by. “Well, I didn’t see anything but your childhood. There’s something blocking a different part, but other than that, you’re perfectly normal.” “Yeah, only if you consider it normal to be able to use magic and fight monsters,” Serena retorted back. Jeff had to laugh at that one. “C’mon. Your friends will be waiting unless we get going now,” Jeff told her, dragging her. Serena playfully let herself get pulled along. They passed Darien. “Hi Darien. Jeff! You can stop pulling now. I’ll meet you at the cafe later. Tell Raye and Amy what you found.” Jeff nodded, and headed off. “Whatcha up to, huh Darien?” Serena asked. “Not much. You?” Serena noticed a white cat that seemed to belong to Darien. “Nothing really. Is that your cat? What’s its name?” Serena bent down to pet it. “His name is Terran. I’m surprised he lets you pet him. He wouldn’t let Andrew.” Darien watched as Serena cooed to the cat. “I better go. See you around Darien. Bye-ee!” Serena called over her shoulder. She headed for the cafe. She discovered both Raye and Jeff missing. “Where’d they go?” Serena asked. “Dunno. Have a seat and get something to drink. We can start our homework,” said Lita, offering her an empty chair. An hour later, Serena had to leave for home and dinner. “I’ll see you guys later, ’kay? Oh Amy, can you call Raye later? Great. Thanks.” That was a code the girls had worked out to say that there was a Scout Meeting at the temple after dinner. Serena left then, finding Luna waiting for her. “Hi Luna. C’mon, it’s dinner time.” ~6 o’clock that evening~ Raye and Jeff were waiting for both Amy and Serena as they walked up the temple steps. “Hey! Where’d you two disappear to earlier?” Amy called out as a greeting. “We came back here. I needed to check up on the Great Fire. Jeff’s not a priest, so I had to do it,” Raye explained. “What’d you do after you checked on the Fire?” Serena asked slyly. “Oh. We-” Raye blushed, while Jeff grinned. Amy and Serena exchanged excited glances, wondering what this would lead to. “Let’s get this meeting started,” Raye said, leading them into her room. “We should check the Great Fire for a hint as to who is our next enemy,” suggested Amy, obviously familiar with Raye’s talent with fortune telling. “Good idea Ames. Does anyone have any complaints?” asked Raye. The others shook their heads. Raye and Jeff went in first, followed by Serena, Amy, and Luna. Jeff sat off to the side, while Amy, Luna, and Serena sat directly behind Raye. She did her routine, and then the fire blazed, showing a picture of a man with long, sandy-blonde hair and green eyes. He was wearing a grey uniform with blue trimming on it. There were no shoulder things at all, unlike Jadeite had been, so Amy assumed that he was fourth in command. “That’s Zoicite!” whispered Jeff. Serena heard him, but made no signs she had heard. “I guess that that’s our next general of the Negaverse,” Amy commented. Luna and Raye nodded as the picture began to fade. “I’ll be right back,” said Raye. “I have to go. I’ll see you in school tomorrow everyone!” Amy called as she left. Luna went with her. “Jeff, who’s Zoicite?” Serena asked. “What do you mean?” he asked. “I heard you whisper ‘That’s Zoicite!’. It must be somebody. Who is he?” Serena demanded. “Zoicite is the fourth in command. That’s all I can tell you. I-” Jeff was stopped when he saw Raye. “Raye, I’m gonna go. It’s late, and I should finish my homework. See ya!” Serena said cheerfully as she skipped from the room. Jeff shrugged at Raye’s questioning look. ~3 o’clock Tuesday morning (It was Monday when the fire reading took place)~ BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! “It’s too early for school,” mumbled Serena. She looked on her dresser. Her communicater was blinking frantically. “Yeah?” she asked it sleepily. “Serena? Oh good. There’s an attack at my apartment. I can’t transform, and that guy from the fire is here! Help!” Amy’s voice came over quiet and scared. “Sure. Be right there.” Serena closed the communicator and grabbed her locket. “Moon Prism Power!” she shouted. Sailor Moon appeared, and woke Luna. The two left through Serena’s second-story window. They rushed to Amy’s apartment. Serena then discovered that the four girls from next door were inside and helping Amy in the kitchen, throwing pots and pans at the monster. Amy’s mom lay on the floor, unconscious. “Hold it! I’m Sailor Moon-” “And Sailor Mars!” Mars had come in behind her. Jadeite was with her. “And the three of us will stop you!” Sailor Moon yelled. The three quickly dusted the monster, much to the dismay of Zoicite. “I’ll be back, Sailor Failures! And I’ll get you little boyfriends too!” Zoicite disappeared. “Boyfriends?” questioned Moon and Mars. Sailor Moon turned, and saw Tuxedo Mask escaping through the window. “Is everyone here alright? Well, except the lady?” Mars questioned. “We’re okay. Thank you,” said the small girl, that Mars later learned was Tara. The three heroes left then, leaving the girls to cleaning up the pots and pans they had thrown. ‘I wonder how those girls got into the kitchen before the monster cornered them there?’ Sailor Moon thought to herself, before entering her room and becoming Serena in her pajamas. She soon fell asleep. Well? Hope you liked it! See ya! -Crescent Moon
