The New Sailor Moon: Episode Eleven The next day was Saturday, and Serena was glad. She slept in till noon, then just went out and was lazy. Amy and Raye were at the temple with Jeff and Zach, and Lita was working on that cooking class. Serena, after lazing about in the park, went to the arcade to visit with Andrew. She discovered Darien was some other girl were already there, talking to him. “Hey Andrew! What’s up?” Serena asked as she walked over. “Hi Serena. Uh, I don’t think you’ve met Rita, have you?” Andrew gestured to the brown haired girl beside Darien. She had aqua eyes (right?). “No. Hi.” She shook hands with Rita. “Rita’s my girlfriend.” Andrew said. “Well, isn’t she lucky?” Serena smiled at Andrew’s blush. Darien couldn’t help laugh. “After all those times that Andrew tried to set me up and play matchmaker, I did that for him, and now he’s going steady with Rita.” Serena giggled. She knew of Andrew’s love of playing matchmaker for other people. She saw Andrew look between her and Darien, back and forth. “Andrew, no.” Serena said. “Aw, come on Serena,” Andrew pouted. Rita, guessing what she was talking about, playfully batted his arm. “Leave them alone Andrew. I better get going. See you later.” With that, Rita left, smiling to herself. Serena pulled her locket out, from what seemed to be her jacket pocket. “I figured out what this is.” Serena held it out to Andrew. “It’s a musical locket. It plays pretty music. Wanna hear?” Andrew shook his head, then said he had to get back to work. “Darien, you wanna hear?” Serena asked shyly. “Sure.” He took the locket from Serena’s outstretched hands and opened it. The music played its hauntingly, sweet music. “This seems, so, familiar,” Darien murmured, staring at the locket. He abruptly shut it. “Here ya go Meatball Head. I better go. Bye!” Darien left, after handing it back to Serena. “What a weirdo.” Serena left then too, deciding to go see Mina. Mina was to be found at a cafe. Apparently, her boyfriend Kevin was there. “Hi Mina! What’s up?” Serena asked, making the unsuspecting Mina jump. “Oh, hi Serena. This is Kevin. Kevin, this is one of my best friends, Serena.” Mina made the introductions. “Nice to meet you, Serena,” Kevin said, shaking her hand. “Same here. I’ve heard about you. Well, since you’re busy, I suppose I’ll leave you two alone, huh?” Serena winked at Mina, and left. ~10 PM that night~ Serena was awakened by her mother shrieking for help. Serena shot out of bed and to her parents room. A monster, which looked like a deranged turtle, had crashed in through the window, drained her dad, and was in the process of draining her mother. Serena’s mom crashed down on the bed, unconscious, while the monster dashed out of the window and off to find another victim. She whipped out her communicator. “Amy, Raye, Lita! I need your help! A monster tore into my parents room and drained them. It left and is probably looking for more victims. Please hurry!” Serena yelled into the communicator. Her friends faces appeared on the watch as they nodded. Serena transformed and dashed after the thing. Sailor Moon caught up to it following its trail of broken windows and busted walls. Soon, she found it, panting hard and sweating, at a restaurant full of late diners. ‘Oh no! It’s going to get all of those poor people! I hope the others get here soon!’ she thought. She burst into the dining room. “Hold it!” she shouted. The diners all looked at her funny. She sighed, brought out her goggles, and found the monster, who appeared to be a sweet child. The adult next to it was Nephrite. “All right, Nephrite and it! Time to come out and face me!” Sailor Moon shouted at them. The diners were horrified until the kid and man became a monster and Nephrite. All that could be heard was screams and the sound of running. Footsteps came toward her. Sailors Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter, plus Zoicite and Jadeite, were behind her. She caught a glimpse of black and red at the window, and realized that Tuxedo Mask was there. “Foolish girl! Do you think you can beat me? Second in command General of the Negaverse? How ridiculous!” Nephrite roared. Jadeite and Zoicite flinched at their ex-comrad’s boasting. “Yes,” said Sailor Moon, quietly but deadly. Mercury and Mars were shocked, for their, well, leader had never said anything like that before. Nephrite heard her and became angry. He sent the monster after her. Before the scouts could even step forward, Sailor Moon had jump kicked the monster, sending it backwards into Nephrite. It got up again and charged. She kicked it again, harder. A rose and cane slashed down at it, knocking it over. While it tried to get up, Sailor Moon yelled at Tuxedo Mask, “This is my battle.” “I thought maybe I could help you. That’s what I’m supposed to do,” he replied, with a handsome smile that made Jupiter melt. “Well, you haven’t done a very good job of that lately, have you?” Tuxedo Mask flinched at that. ‘Yikes. This girl must either be really pissed off at me, or the monster. Let’s go with me, just to be on the safe side.’ “Okay, so I haven’t done much lately, but you try to pull a cat off your back right where you can’t reach.” “You have a cat?” Sailor Moon asked, incredulously. She heard Luna pad up to her. A white cat with a silver symbol on its forehead walked up to Sailor Moon. “Forgive me, Sailor Moon. I have told Tuxedo Mask not to stay too long. He finally stopped listening to me. Lady Luna, very nice to see you again.” With that, the cat streaked off. “Luna, you know that cat?” Sailor Moon directed her question to the cat. “No, but you better go help the others. It got up and they’re having a hard time.” The cat ran under a table. Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon entered the battle again, the scouts and generals barely standing up after the attacks. Tuxedo Mask did what he could, throwing roses and fighting sword-style with his cane. Jupiter found enough energy to electrify it so Sailor Moon could use her tiara. Tuxedo Mask left as soon as it was destroyed. Sailor Moon just watched. * * * * * * * Darien walked along the sidewalk with Terran. “Terran, what did you mean, I finally stopped listening to you? Was I supposed to not listen?” “No. My job was to get to listen to me as long as I could. When you stopped listening to me, I could train you. We’ll start tomorrow.” The cat dashed off into the shadows. “Whatever Terran.” Darien went to his apartment, which was only a few blocks away. That’s it for now. See you next episode! -Crescent Moon
