Hiya! This is the fifth part, and I’m sorry I made you wait for it! Hee-hee-hee! (Yeah, right! says the reader[s]) Anyway, I left a sort of cliff hanger. Ready for it? Here goes! The Final Scout: Chapter Five Serena went home quickly, put her stuff in her room, grabbed Luna, saying she had a surprise, and headed for the temple, wanting to get there before Mina. As she entered, Raye was there, sweeping the steps. She looked up. “Oh! Hello again! I didn’t quite catch your name last time.” Raye held out her hand, which Serena shook. “My name is Serena. I meeting a friend here.” “I’m Raye. I live here with my grandpa and Chad, the guy you saw me chasing last time.” “Why were you chasing him, anyway?” Serena asked. “He didn’t do his chores the day before, and I had to do them for him.” “Oh. Listen, my friend and I, we’re not sure what’s going to happen, so it might be advisable for you to stay inside. I promise that if anything is damaged, it’ll be me, not the temple.” ‘Lord knows it’s almost been destroyed enough.’ Serena smiled reassuredly at Raye. “Um, okay. I’ve got chores to do anyway. Just be careful. For some reason, I get the feeling that I should know you and should protect you.” Raye smiled back and wandered into the temple with her broom. At 5:30 sharp, Mina showed up with a white cat at her feet. Luna perked up and ran over to the white cat. They rubbed heads, then dashed off into the woods together. “Is it just me, or do you know almost everything?” asked Mina. “Oh, I know more than you think, Sailor V. Whatever you do, watch out for Amy, Lita, and this black-haired girl who lives here. Her name is Raye. Oh yeah, watch out for a black-haired man named Darien too.” “Okay, Serena, but what about you?” “I can take care of myself. Oh, and whatever you do, if you see a girl named Sailor Moon dressed similarly like you, don’t go anywhere near her. She’ll come to you.” “How-? Never mind. What do you mean she’ll come to me?” “Just trust me. Whatever you do, do not get involved with what Sailor Moon does. You and I both know that you’re not in your full powers currently, and against the new enemy, you wouldn’t stand a chance.” Serena looked at Mina, who could be her twin. “Mina, promise me you won’t be Sailor V unless you are in serious danger.” “I can’t just stop, Sere-” “Mina, please! It’s important. Don’t transform unless you’re in fatal danger.” “Okay, I promise.” “Thank you. Now, can you keep Luna for awhile? She’ll be getting in the way until it’s time. All you’ll remember is that Luna is Artemis’ partner, and that you met me and my friends today at the cafe.” Serena reached behind her and brought out the Crescent Moon Wand. She removed the crystal, making it into a necklace, and whispered ‘Moon Power, do as I will.’ Mina watched this go on until the waves of crystal power hit her and she forgot what she was doing. Serena quickly ran away, afraid of what might happen if Mina saw her. She saw the girl pick up both Luna and Artemis, so she knew that they would be okay. She hoped that Mina would remember the promise, since that hadn’t been part of the wish on the crystal. Turning away, she slowly made her way home. ~The next morning~ “Hey Serena!” called a voice. Serena turned, and there stood Mina, Raye, Amy, and Lita. “Hey guys! Mina, Raye! What are you two doing here? Don’t you go to schools that aren’t near ours?” Serena asked, running back to them. “Nope. TA Private, where Raye goes, is near Azabu, which is near Crossroads, which is near Grants,” said Mina. “Cool!” “So, Serena, did everything work out last night?” asked Raye. “Yeah. No problem.” Serena winked and made a sh-ing motion. “What are you talking about?” asked Amy. “Not important, Ames. So, what should we do after school today?” “We could go to the temple. By the way, I’m Raye for those of you who don’t know me. My grandpa owns the temple, and me and this guy named Chad work there.” Raye smiled at them. “I’m Amy, and this is Lita. She’s been a bit spacey all morning. I don’t know why though.” Amy looked at her tall friend thoughtfully. “I’ve got a way,” said Mina. “Hey, Lita! Look, there’s a hot guy! He looks like your old boyfriend!” Amy and Raye looked puzzled, as did Mina. Serena winced. “Where did that come from?” Mina questioned herself. “What? Cute? Where? How’d you know about my boyfriend?” Lita started to look around eagerly. Serena giggled. “I think she just guessed about that. We were trying to get you outta your dreamworld. So, whatcha thinking about?” asked Serena. “Well, ever since we met up with Mina and, uh, Raye, right?, I felt like our group was pretty complete. Then we met up with you, and I felt like I should know all of you really well, or something.” Lita frowned. “Maybe it was all that apple pie last night. I always feel weird after eating a lot of pie.” “I don’t think that’s too odd, Lita. I feel like I should know all of you, and Serena especially,” Raye added. “I also want to call her Serenity, or Bunny, or even, this is the weirdest one of all, Meatball Head.” This was too much for Serena. She started to cry silently. Luckily, they had started moving, so Serena just dropped back a bit and waited for the tears to pass. She didn’t realize how far back she had gotten until she had bumped into someone. “Oh, I’m sorry.” Serena tried to walk away. “What’s up Meatball Head? You reverting?” “No, Darien, I’m not, you mi- Nevermind.” Keeping her head down, she tried to move away. Darien caught her arm. “Something’s wrong, Serena. I want to know what it is. Now.” “There’s nothing wrong, Darien. Let me go!” “Oh no, I don’t think so.” “But I’ll be late.” “So? Andrew said he found you like this weeks back. I’m worried about you Serena. You really shouldn’t bottle up your feelings like this.” “Oh please! What would you know?” “A lot, Serena. Believe me, a lot.” He caught her chin and forced her head up. “Now, tell me why you’re crying.” Serena looked away, but Darien jerked her right back. “I- I- Ican’ttellyouyoucan’tknowyetnotuntilyouremember!” With that, Serena broke away and raced after her friends. “I remember? Remember what?” he asked aloud. People stared at him. He blushed and continued on his way. “Hey, Sere, where’d you disappear to?” asked Lita. “Oh, I ran into Darien, Leets. No prob.” Serena grinned as Lita got a love-sick look on her face. “Oh, and Leets? Darien’s mine, you can’t have him!” With that, she raced into the school yard, Lita and Amy close behind, saying good-bye to Mina and Raye. Short, I know, but I’m running low on ideas! HELP!!!!
