Please e-mail me!!!!!!!! I’d appreciate it much!!!!! The Final Scout: Chapter Four The bell rang, and the three girls got up reluctantly. “It was nice meeting you, Darien,” said Amy. “Yeah, especially since you really cheered Serena up!” said Lita. “What do you mean?” asked Darien. “Whenever I see her she’s always cheery.” Serena sighed and walked away. “Okay,” he amended, “maybe not always.” “Yeah, and you should’ve seen her this morning when we were walking to school. She seemed real depressed until I spoke to her. I don’t why, but I just don’t like seeing her unhappy. It’s like something is missing when that happens.” Lita said. “I know what you mean, Leets,” said Amy. “Today was the first I’ve really talked to her, but she’s seems so easy to talk to.” “Um, Ames, we should get going. Class starts in two minutes.” Lita pointed at her watch. “Right, okay. Bye Darien.” Amy picked up her things and started to walk off. Lita said good-bye and quickly followed her. Darien watched them go, and hoped that Serena would cheer up. He also hoped that no one caught the thing Miss Haruna had. He left quickly, remembering that he had a class to get to. ~After school~ Miss Haruna had been feeling a little better, so class resumed a bit. They hadn’t had any tests, but they did get a few work sheets. “So, guys, we still on for ice cream?” asked Serena. “You bet!” Amy and Lita exclaimed. The three girls gathered their things and left for the Crown Cafe. As they entered through the arcade section, a man with blonde hair and green eyes greeted them. “Hey Serena! I haven’t seen you in a long time!” he exclaimed. “Yeah, I know. I’ve been sorta busy Andrew. It’s good to see you again!” Serena grinned and hugged him. Andrew had been a big brother to her for awhile, even though she had had a crush on him for awhile. “So, who are you friends?” Andrew asked, pointing to Lita and Amy studying a game called Tekken. “Amy is the shorter one, and Lita is the brunette. We’re going to head over to the cafe, if I can get them away from that game.” Serena headed over to them, and, luckily, she got them into the cafe. They each ordered a small sundae, and sat in a booth, Amy and Lita on one side and Serena on the other. “So, Sere, what do you generally do for fun?” asked Lita. “Well, I used to come here all the time and play Sailor V or Sailor Moon, depending on what I felt like. And I used to read comic books all the time, and I never studied, or anything except have fun.” “Really?” asked Amy. “Yeah. I never thought about school, I never thought about hard work, and I was this extremely carefree person. That’s how come I was generally so happy. Add some best friends and a boyfriend to the mix and you get a very happy life.” Serena sighed. “What happened?” asked Amy. Lita touched Amy’s arm to stop her, but Serena shook her head. “You guys should know. See, my friends and I got into a little trouble with this gang. My boyfriend was trying to protect me from them, since he was sorta in the gang as well. The gang isn’t around anymore, and there was nothing on the news, but all my friends were knocked unconscious, and my boyfriend was almost killed. All of them got amnesia and don’t remember me at all. None of them even remember the gang.” Serena hoped her little lie she had thought up during school would work. “Sere, that seems a little bogus to me,” said Amy. “Me too. I was lucky I survived with my memory intact, as well as my body.” Suddenly, Serena spotted a familiar head. She gasped, and ducked down. “Serena?” asked Lita. Amy had started to concentrate on her sundae, which had just come, and didn’t notice. Lita turned and was struck by the looks of the man. He was tall, taller than Darien, with wavy brown hair down to his chin. As he turned, Lita was shocked at his crystal blue eyes. She quickly looked away, and concentrated on her sundae. Serena’s head popped back up, but the man was still there. She shrugged, and ate her sundae. As she finished, she noticed Mina walking in. She walked that way, which was near the entrance of the bathrooms, and used her ‘klutziness’ to trip into Mina. “Oh!” Serena exclaimed. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to do that. I’ve been so clumsy lately.” “Oh, well, that’s okay.” The two girls picked themselves up. “By the way, I’m Mina.” “I’m Serena. Hey, do you wanna join me and my friends? I gotta go wash up real quick, but I’ll be right back.” “Sure, Serena. I’ll wait here for you.” Mina smiled as Serena rushed off. A little bit later, Serena brought Mina over to their table. “Hey, guys, this is Mina. Mina, this is Lita and Amy,” Serena introduced, pointing at her friends. “Hi!” Mina exclaimed. They all sat and talked. Everyone ordered a shake, and they continued to chat. Mina was surprised at how open she was with these people. They were so open with her, so she supposed that it just sorta happened. Finally, Amy looked at her watch and gasped. “Guys, it’s almost five! I’ve got to go home!” Amy got out of the booth and hurried off. Lita said that she was meeting her friend Ken and his family for dinner at six and needed to get ready. That left Mina and Serena. “What about you Mina? Do you have to go home?” Serena asked. “Nah. I’ve got a business dinner at seven, so I don’t have to go home for an hour.” At Serena’s questioning look, she explained. “I’m a model for Sailor V. I also do the acting of Sailor V in the movies.” “Ah. What school do you go to?” “Grant’s Junior High. When I’m in tenth grade I get to go to Crossroads High, since Grants doesn’t have one.” “I go to Crossroads Junior High right now. Me, and Amy, and Lita. By the way Mina, you’re a perfect person to play Sailor V.” “Thanks!” “Yeah. Only the real Sailor V would work.” Serena grinned at her ‘new’ friend’s shocked look. “I’m not Sailor V, Serena. I don’t know what you’re getting at.” “Mina, I know that you’re Sailor V. It’s too easy not to see. In fact, it’s so easy that most people overlook it. Is Artemis still with you?” “How’d you know about Artemis?” Mina frowned. “You’re not the Enemy, are you?” “No, but I have Luna, Artemis’ partner. Artemis is a cat, after all. Too bad Luna won’t speak to me.” “Serena, I don’t know who you are, but you’re creeping me out.” Mina made to move. “Okay, I’ll make you a deal. I’ll meet you at the Cherry Hill Temple in half an hour. I’ll bring Luna with me, and you bring Artemis. If they know each other, or even recognize each other, then you’ll know I’m not the enemy.” Serena stood and made to leave herself. “Who are you?” asked Mina. “That’s not for you to know. Not yet. Oh, and no matter what the outcome is tonight, your memory will be erased about until the time is right.” Serena left, not looking back. Mina stared after the strange girl she had just met two hours before, with her strange hair style, and her strange way of life. ‘What will happen? I guess I better go get Arty.’ Cliffhanger!!!!!
