Hallo! Ich heisse Crescent Moon. Okay, enough German from me. Back to the story, Serena, and Lycanthrosphere! -Crescent Moon The Final Scout: Chapter Two Serena sat on a bench, shivering from the information on her screen: Scan: complete Height: 6’2” Hair: Sandy brown Eye color: Purple DNA scan: Identified DNA: Silver Millennium Alliance: Orion Star: Prince Lycanthrosphere Personal info: Was a friend of Princess Serenity in her childhood. Sought Princess Serenity’s hand in marriage, was angry when beat by Prince Endymion. Disappeared two months later. Never heard from again. Information known know: Negative energy infused in body, through symbol of Orion Star on forehead. Same dimension as the Negaverse, Queen Beryl, etcetera. Name know: Unknown “What am I going to do?” she wailed quietly, quickly putting the computer away. She stood, ready to go look for Darien. As she walked, she noticed people recovering consciousness. Happier, though not as happy as she was earlier, she skipped off, going through the gate. A hand grabbed her arm. She screamed. “Keep it down, Meatball Head. It’s only me,” said Darien, stepping out of the shadows by the gate. “Sorry. You scared me.” “Yeah, well you scared me when you dropped back when we were running. Where’d you go?” “I fell behind you, then I tripped, and I, uh, hid in the bushes,” she said, shrugged sheepishly. “You weren’t hurt, were you?” “No.” “What happened to that thing anyway?” “Some girl in a very short skirt jumped from a tree near me and she killed it, I think. One minute it was there, the next, she shouts and throws something and the thing is gone.” Serena started to walk. “I should be going home now. It’s almost dinner time. I’ll see you around, okay?” “Sure, Serena. Bye,” Darien said, waving as she ran off. As she ran, Serena thought about Lycanthrosphere. ‘That’s one reason not to have my memories. I wonder if Luna or Artemis know anything at all about these attacks. They probably don’t remember either, since Luna has been a normal cat since I got home. What am I going to do? I can try to heal him, but if he’s been through Beryl’s brainwashing, it won’t work. I almost didn’t get Darien back that last time.’ She nearly cried as she got home. Lycanthrosphere had been her best friend, her ‘Ike’. She was his ‘Rena’. But then, she had fallen in love with Endymion, her ‘Endy’, and she was his ‘Sere’, because Ike had had to go home and learn to be a prince. She loved Ike, but like a brother, and she had countless times explained it to Ike, who never listened before he left again. Entering her house, she called out that she was home and would be in her room. Serena just barely made it in her room and shut the door before she broke down and sobbed. Luna, curious, padded over and meowed. “Oh, Luna,” she sobbed, pulling the cat into a loose embrace, “what am I going to do about Ike? I can’t kill him, but he won’t listen. He never listened.” Luna just meowed again, rubbing her head on Serena’s chin. It made her feel better. “Maybe I can get him to listen. You never listened to me before, but here you are, comforting me and being an adorable animal.” Serena stood up, the cat in her arms. She headed downstairs, and went into the living room. She found her brother in there, playing the Sailor V game. She noticed a different game by him. “Hey Sammy?” Serena asked. “Yeah?” he asked, distractedly. “What is that other game you’ve got?” “It’s called Sailor Moon,” he said, then nearly slammed down his controller. His Sailor V had died for the last time. “Sammy, can I play Sailor Moon?” “What? Huh, oh yeah, sure.” He handed her the controller, and then put the game cartridge in. Serena sat on the couch, Luna next to her, and the game started. Serena concentrated, gathering points and allies as she moved through the course. She quickly passed the first five levels, against Jedite. ‘This is almost exactly what happened to us!’ she thought excitedly. Speeding up, she made it through the next ten levels in twenty minutes. Sammy had his jaw dropped, and his eyes bugged out. He couldn’t believe his sister had gotten farther in thirty minutes then he ever had in hours. Another half hour, and Serena had made it through another thirty levels. “Supper!” called their mom. “Mom, can’t it wait? Serena’s on level 36 of Sailor Moon! She’s only got four more to go to beat it!” Sammy called excitedly. “Okay, dear.” Soon, their mom came in as Serena had just cleared the 37th level. As she cleared the 38th level, their dad came home. “What’s for dinner?” he called. “Not yet, dear!” called back their mom. “Serena has almost beaten this game of Sammy’s. Come and see!” Their dad came in, and Serena cleared the 38th level. The 39th level was extremely easy for Serena, clearing it in less than a minute. When the 40th level came, she almost lost it. The beginning of the level was a little play where all the scouts died, except Sailor Moon, and Tuxedo Mask had turned on her. She had to heal him first, then she had to beat Beryl. She almost died against Tuxedo Mask, but she whipped out one of the items she had gotten on the 22nd level, the star locket. Using that, Tuxedo Mask came back to her side. Another little play, and Beryl killed Tuxedo Mask. Then, she was outside of the castle, and fighting Beryl as Princess Serenity, which she had become on the 30th level. She beat Beryl by calling back the spirits of her dead scouts, and Tuxedo Mask appeared from somewhere as well. When Beryl died, a little play showed how all the girls came back to life, as well as Tuxedo Mask, and then they teleported back to Tokyo. It showed them all detransforming into altered forms of Serena and her friends. The names were Tsukino Usagi, Mizuno Ami, Hino Rei, Kino Makoto, Aino Minako, and Chiba Mamoru. Serena giggled as the four girls put bunny ears on Usagi and Mamoru hugged Usagi from behind. Then the screen flashed: YOU WIN!!!!!! YOU WIN!!!!!! As the other three people left the room, Serena noticed a number at the bottom of the screen, and a message. It said: For a free poster of Sailor Moon, the Sailor Scouts, and Tuxedo Mask, call 555-1000. Enter our contest to win a free game system and the game cartridges for Sailor Moon, Sailor V, and all of the games produced by this company. If you win, you will also receive a free copy of every game we create. Serena wrote down the number, and then went into the dining room after turning off the game system and the T.V. Luna had been staring at the T.V. ever since she had beaten the 30th level, and finally wandered off. After dinner, Serena went to her room and called the number from the cordless phone. Her name and address were entered into the contest, she was told by the lady who had answered. Excited, she checked to see if her homework was done, then she played the Sailor V game downstairs until it was time for her to go to bed. Okay, no cliff hangers this chapter. I felt I had to put that little thing in just for fun. Don’t worry! Ever notice how in stories, all phone numbers start with 555? I mean, at least in books in America, anyway. Like, um, The Babysitters Club, by Ann M Martin, all the numbers there start KL5, and if you notice on a phone, the K and L are on the 5 button. Weird, huh? -Crescent Moon
