Standard disclaimers go here: ___________________________ A New Princess R: Chapter Four After that last meeting, I noticed a change in the way the senshi were acting, the original ones. They seemed to think higher of me, especially Alex and Marissa. As usual, though, Celia and Claudia weren’t at that meeting. This time it was three days after the last attack before they attacked. Arriving as Sailor Gaea, I realized that no one was up. Well, technically, Sailor Moon and Mini-Moon were, but they looked extremely exhausted. “Moon Crystal Power!” I said. Moonlight surrounded me, and was transformed into Sailor Artemis. Going by my Gaea outfit, everything was pink instead of black and silver instead of crystalline. And the shoulder fringes were on the left shoulder. The staff had a silver crescent moon on it. I jumped down from the roof, having put the dust wall up. I had put everyone in the wall again, seeing that Moon and Mini-Moon might not make it if they were hit again. “Hiya!” I giggled. Not again! I thought. Personality changes suck! I waved at them, then turned to face the monster. “Ooh! Aren’t you an wittle ugwy ting?” I asked it in baby-talk. It roared. “Um, wrong choice of words?” I asked hopefully. The thing looked like it had robbed a baby store. It decided to shoot out killer bottles at me. I dodged them successfully, smashing some with my staff. “Looks like I’ll have to use some force,” I said. I held up the staff, and said, “Moon Beams, Glow!” Rays of moonlight streamed out of the staff at full force, plowing into the baby monster. “Well, at least it did something,” I reasoned positively, watching the thing try to get off its back. “Maybe it’s a turtle?” “Great! Now, who are you?” asked an exasperated voice from the wall. I turned and saw Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask standing, their future daughter leaning on them heavily. “Well, Sailor Moon, right? Yeah, I’m Sailor Artemis, Myth Scout of the Moon, I think. No, I’m not the Myth Scout, but I’m not the Senshi either. Err! What am I?” I started pacing, keeping an eye of the monster. As it got up and charged for me, no one else noticed it. “Moon Beams, Glow,” I said, annoyed, holding up the staff without missing a beat in my pacing. I stopped. “Oh well.” “Um, can you stop that thing?” asked Sailor Moon. “Sure! Well, I can try. Don’t count on too much. This is my first time in this form.” As I turned around again to face the monster, I mumbled, “Sailor Moon was so easier to be.” I heard a little exclaimational gasp from Sailor Moon. I turned, grinned, and then continued towards the monster. “Moon Glow Tiara Magic!” I called, flinging the tiara, silver with a pink jewel, at the monster. Hitting it, well, it did damage, but not enough to kill the darned thing. I wanted to keep some of my powers in reserve, so I put my hand through the dust wall, grabbed Sailor Moon, and dragged her through. Tuxedo Mask tried to get through as well, but he hit the wall with a smack. “Think you can finish?” I asked her. She nodded. “Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!” I didn’t think that was right, but it finished the whole thing. I walked over the wall and tapped it with my staff. It fell, and everyone managed to get up and make a circle around me. “Uh oh,” I said, looking at the accusing faces. “Did I do something wrong?” “No, of course not. Who are you?” asked Mars. I shook my head. “Boy, you never change, do you Mars?” I sighed. Looking at Tuxedo Masquerade, I saw recognition in his eyes. Involuntarily, my eyes widened in fright, and I took a step back from him. “What’s wrong?” he asked. I stuttered out a jumble of words. “Okay, okay, I think we’ve scared her enough,” said Sailor Moon. “Now, the plan was to capture one of the other three, but she’ll do fine.” “You’re not going to capture me. I know all of your attacks and secrets. Serena, Usagi, don’t mess this up,” I said. “There was never a Sailor Artemis, nor Gaea, nor Star, nor Sun back in the Silver Millennium,” commented Cronos. “Well, your big sister over there said the same thing about Sailor Moon, yet here she is, lo and behold, the Crown Princess of the Moon, fighting like a regular planet princess,” I said sarcastically. “What do you mean, Crown Princess?” asked Aphrodite. Venus nudged her. “Duh! Princess Selene, me! I’m a Princess of the Moon too, ya know.” Everyone looked at me in shock. “What, you don’t believe that I can transform? Well, if you had listened to me at the first meeting we had at Daimen’s apartment instead of going on and on about Sailor Star, you would know. Not to mention, I wouldn’t have had to yell at you guys about being bad scouts.” “Buns? That’s you?” asked Tuxedo Masquerade, staring at me. Not my face though. I blushed. “Yeah, it’s me, Daim. Surprise?” I tried. If sweat drops were real, everyone would have them by now. “Um, perhaps we should leave? Regroup or something?” “Good idea. Tomorrow morning?” asked a sleepy Zeus. “School,” replied Mercury. “Sleep. After school,” added Sailor Moon. Everyone left. ~School, my classes~ Well, needless to say, all these little midnight encounters we had been having had really thrown all of us for a loop. I was a little better off than the others, but only because of being both Sailor Moon in Tokyo and the four I was now. I fell asleep for at least ten minutes per class, and I totally slept through homeroom. My teachers got kind of worried, but I just told them that I hadn’t been feeling well. After school, we met at our apartment. I noticed that hardly anyone was awake except me. After ten minutes, the only thing I heard was snores. “So much for a productive meeting,” I said, and headed into the kitchen to do homework. The next thing I knew, there was a pressure on me from behind. My head jerked around and I found Daimen leaning on me, arms around my waist. “Hey, Sleepy Head. Care to join us?” he asked. I looked at him, and then the clock. I had been asleep for an hour! I nodded, blushing. Back in the living room, we had a meeting. “Who do you think the enemy is?” asked Raye. “Well, according to my scans-” began Amy “And my information-” broke in Amanda. “We’ve come to the conclusion that they’re not from the Negaverse, nor any other dimension we’ve visited.” Amy glared at her little ‘sister.’ “What other dimensions have we visited?” asked Marie. “Well, there’s the Negaverse, the place where Neherina’s (Sailor Moon SuperS + Stars) mirrors took us, um.....” Amy listed. “The fourth dimension,” I broke in softly. “Oh, yeah, that one too!” she exclaimed. I shivered as memories ran through my head. Serena put hand on my shoulder, reassuring me. “Maybe Sailor Sun, or Gaea, or Star know something,” Alex started. “No. Alex, do not go there. Don’t even think about continuing that thought,” I replied. She held up her hands in defense and fell silent. “If we don’t have any ideas, is it okay if I take Rini out for some fun? She’s looking kinda bored.” Everyone’s gaze turned to the pink-haired child. She was staring at the ceiling, half asleep. Serena nodded. I got Rini and out we ran. “How’d you get us out?” she asked as we ran to the arcade. “Simple. No one had any new ideas, so I just asked if we could leave. They’re supposed to be responsible as well. I can’t do anything hardly since last night was my first time,” I replied. “What are you talking about? You’ve been there the past four times!” Rini exclaimed, giving me an odd look. “Rini, Sailor Artemis’ first appearance was last night. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Oh no! She knew! “Auntie Selene, do you expect me to believe that all you are is a princess of the Moon? I’ve known all about you since I first came.” “So that’s why you decided to be a total brat?” I asked, eyebrow raised as we walked into the arcade. Rini blushed. “Aunt Selene!” she exclaimed, embarrassed. “Aunt Selene?” asked a male voice. Andrew was standing there, smiling at the sight we made. “Long story, Andy. To make it short, this is my sister’s daughter and my sister has forever insisted on calling me Selene, because her name is Serena.” I smiled at him. “We came to play. Got any new games lately?” “Actually, my dad and I just made a new one. We were up pretty late last night, and I didn’t go to school.” “What game?” asked Rini eagerly. I gave her a look and she backed up behind me. “Well, we updated the Japanese game of Sailor Soldiers, or Scouts or something, into a whole new game that includes all these new scouts that have been appearing here in Yarkington. We’ve been keeping tabs on all of them, since we’ve found all of the articles in Japanese newspapers. Unfortunately, it’s slow going, since neither of us can read Japanese really well.” “Aunt Sele- Bunny can read Japanese. She was visiting us last summer,” Rini said. I glared at her, giving her another warning. She didn’t catch on. “Bunny, you can? Do you think you could translate these for us?” Andrew asked excitedly. “I can try. I should have them by the weekend, as long as I don’t have too much homework,” I replied, not wanting to let Andrew down. “Cool! Here, have some tokens, and I’ll go get the articles. The game’s in next spot from the original game.” Andrew headed to the back room. Rini and I headed to the game. I gave her five tokens, and I took seven. She owed me, big time. I let her play first, and she chose to be Sailor Mini-Moon. No surprise there. As she died for the last time on her fifth token, on the third level, Andrew came back with the articles. “Thanks Andy. Rini, hold these while I play.” I gave them to her, and then started the game. I chose to be Sailor Sun. On my first token, I made it to the sixth level. “Wow, you’re really good!” Andrew said. Rini nodded in agreement. “Rini, you should remember how good I was at the Sailor V game and the other two Sailor Senshi games. I beat the pants off of Ami-chan, and totally surprised everyone.” Andrew left, saying he had to do some other things. “Oh yeah! You’re better than Mom, but not by much.” “True, but I can still beat her. Rini, how old are you now? Twelve?” I asked. “Yep! And my brother is fourteen.” “BROTHER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?” I screeched. My character died, but I continued with my third token. “Oops!” Rini clapped her hands over her mouth. “I wasn’t supposed to talk about him. Puu and Luna-P are going to kill me!” “Is Claudia Luna-P?” I asked. “Yeah. Um, don’t tell them I told you, please?” she begged. “I won’t, but what’s your brother’s name?” “Well, I don’t know the Japanese one, ’cause he’s never come to Japan. We speak English in the future, but Japanese is the palace talk for all of us royalty and senshi. His name’s Rien (pronounced Ryan) for short. His full name is Endymion Mamoru Darien Chiba.” “And yours is Serenity Usagi Serena Chiba, correct?” “Well, sorta. I forgot to add in the Tsukino before the Chiba.” “Fun.” “Not as fun as your whole name.” “Really?” I asked, looking at her during a pause in the game. “Yep. Yours is Selene Andromeda Tranquility Terra Elizabeth Bunny Crescent Tsukino Chiba Shields.” “So I marry Daimen in the future?” I asked hopefully. “I don’t know. Uncle Terran is always on Earth, or at least it seems that way, and you guys seem happy together when you visit us, but I never found out. I can’t say anything more, or I’ll do something to the time line, I just know it.” “Oh.” I turned back to the game, a bit down. I finished up with my last token and I died on the fortieth level. I entered by name, Bunny, into the top score place. I had totally beaten everyone else on the top score list. Then we left, me with the articles. At the apartment, everyone was still there. I asked what was going on. “Well, we felt bad for crashing in here on you guys, Bunny, so we decided that we would try to help pick up around here. We always leave a lot of garbage and stuff lying around here after the meetings,” Serena said. I noticed that the whole apartment was looking really clean, including my room, and that Daimen was asleep on the couch. Artemis and Luna were there, discussing something. “Uh, Bunny? Serena? Could you two come here?” asked Artemis. We walked over the chair were the cats were and sat on the floor. “Uh, Luna has decided tha-” Artemis started. “We have decided, Artemis,” Luna said, swatting his head. I saved him from Luna’s wrath and picked him up into my lap. “We have decided that it isn’t right for Bunny to stay here with Daimen. Terran and Selene have done some rather, uh, unusual things together in the past, and we’d rather not have the past repeated now, just in case.” “Luna, what exactly are you getting at?” asked Serena, trying to embarrass her cat. I gasped as I remembered. “Okay, I see your point, but that’s not going to happen. This time and place aren’t exactly as free as it was back then where we did do that sort of thing,” I said, blushing. “What are you talking about?” asked Serena. She was confused. “I know, and it’s best if you don’t,” said Daimen from the couch, eyes still closed. “And if you two are so worried, why don’t you stay here and watch her?” “Artemis will. He’s supposed to be her guardian anyway,” Luna said, glaring at the white cat. “Will someone please explain?” Serena yelled, frustrated. I took her off to a corner and whispered what it meant. She blushed even redder than I had. “Sorry I asked,” she mumbled, then went into the safety of Darien’s arms. I rolled my eyes. She might be my older sister, but she wasn’t very mature about that. Then everyone gathered in the living room. “Okay, you guys. I’ve got an anouncement. If anyone goes into the arcade where Daim’s friend Andrew works, remember this: Serena and Darien are a lot older than they really are. Rini slipped and called me Aunt Selene right in front of Andy, so I had to explain that she was my sister’s daughter and why she called me Selene. And, I think that Andy thinks Rini’s around ten or twelve, which she is, so, yeah.” I sighed as everyone burst out at the little girl. “You guys, relax. I sort of provoked her a bit and embarrassed her. Let’s not worry okay?” I asked. Everyone sighed and nodded. “Good. Now, I’ve got homework to do, and I’m sure everyone else does as well.” Everyone trooped out of the apartment, disappointed to have to go do their homework.
