5/16/00 (16 May, 2000 or May 16, 2000) Okay, this is the third part and I hope it lives up to everyone’s expectations, especially mine! A New Princess R: Chapter Three Well, later the next day, after school of course, we had a scout meeting at Daimen’s apartment. We ended up discussing Sailor Star rather then our enemy. “I think she’s one of us,” said Dawn quietly. Claudia and Celia were expectedly absent from this little meeting. “I don’t. She doesn’t have a god or goddess name,” objected Raye. “Who cares?” I asked. “Don’t we have an enemy to discuss?” But, as usual, my question went unheeded. “But what’s the name of the god or goddess of the stars?” asked Tracy. “Since when is Star a planet?” countered Lita. “Huh?” asked Mina and Marie. Amy and Amanda stayed out of this fight, both lost in thought. “I don’t think it matters,” said Tara. “If you go by name, she’s one of the Senshi. If you go by uniform, she’s one of the Scouts. She’s clearly both, so she must go in one category herself.” “What about Bunny?” asked Serena. “She was a Senshi, but now, if she could, she’d be the leader of the Scouts. Maybe her and Star both go in the same category. And who knows? Maybe there’s other scouts or senshi like that.” “But I can trans-” I was cut off as an argument ensued. Daimen and Darien had tactfully escaped into the kitchen. Rini looked at me, then scooted off to the kitchen to follow her dad. I followed her. I was disgusted by their actions in there. They wouldn’t even listen to me. Daimen noticed my face. “Don’t like the argument?” he asked. “No, I don’t. They won’t even listen to me,” I grumbled. “Better get used to it,” said Rini and Darien simultaneously. Rini giggled as Darien continued. “They have this thing with either age or status in fighting. Rini’s too young for them, I’m not a strong enough warrior, same with Daimen, and you, well, you’re younger than everyone, except Chibi-Usa, I mean, Rini, and you can’t fight. After a while, you learn to escape as soon as possible.” “I can fight,” I grumbled. “What do you mean though, you’re not a strong enough fighter? Didn’t we all listen to you when I was Sailor Moon? And wasn’t I really childish and young then too?” “Well, I was the oldest for a while, so I was looked up to. As for you, you were the leader. That gave you status, even if you didn’t exactly act as you should have at times,” he said tactfully. “I see you learned to use some tact,” I commented, grinning, making him chuckle. Rini and Daimen looked at us and shrugged. Two days later, and I was starting to assume that the enemy liked to keep to a schedule, or something. It was always two or three days later. Anyway, two days later, there was another attack. Again, I spied as Sailor Gaea. Again, they needed help, but not Gaea’s. Venus and Aphrodite, with their light attacks, did extremely well, but neither was strong enough. “Venus Love and Beauty Shock!” Venus called out, sending an orangeish heart towards the monster. “Lover’s Arrow!” called Aphrodite, shooting out an orangeish arrow from a bow of gold. I heard Mars say whiningly, “That’s my attack!” I shook my head. “Sun Crystal Power!” I said, not too loudly. Unfortunately, the light surrounding me was like standing next to the sun in space, very bright. It caught everyone’s attention. I used the dust wall, only not including Venus and Aphrodite. The outfit was very interesting. It was yellow where it was purple and black on the other two, and gold where it was bronze and crystalline. The staff had a sun symbol on it. Did I mention that there was a symbol on the boots of all of them? Well, there is. It’s the same colors as the bows. I already explained the hair. Oh, and did I mention that I was left-handed as Sun? I don’t think I did, and I was left-handed as Gaea too. As far as I knew, I was right-handed as Star and Artemis. I hoped so, because I was ambidextrous in real life. “Um, can you guys attack it so I can help out?” I asked nervously. They nodded, sending out more attacks. I thought of which attack to use. I had the tiara, the scepter, and, of course, the dust wall. With the staff, I had one about sun rays, and then I had something about sun spots. I chose the sun rays. Holding up the staff, I called out, “Sun Rays, Pierce!” I don’t know what happened there, it was too bright. Unfortunately, it didn’t finish the job. As Venus and Aphrodite continued their attacks, getting weaker, I powered up for the sun spots one. When they looked about ready to faint, I yelled, “Sun Spots, Burst!” Another extremely bright flash of light, and the monster was gone. I let the wall collapse, and again, a sigh of relief went up. “Who are you?” asked Aphrodite. “Um, well, I guess I’m Sailor Sun. This is my first time, so, I was a bit nervous.” I shrugged. I swear, all these scout changes caused my personality to change. It was weird. “Well, where do you belong?” asked Venus. “Um, belong?” I squeaked out. “I belong ..... with myself? Um, I am going to leave now. Bye!” With that, I ran off and jumped the rooftops to the apartment. The next day, I stayed in my room as the senshi and scouts gathered. Daimen and Darien had gone off to look at Daimen’s car and motorcycle, the girls not noticing, again. Rini, looking hopelessly lost during the conversation, escaped to the bathroom. I snagged her into my room as she headed back. We ended up watching a movie, which I ended up explaining the entire plot to her. She may have spoken English, but she sure didn’t understand it. When it ended, we heard Daimen and Darien sneak back into the apartment, and the two of us hurried back into the living room, hearing the final part of the conversation about Sailor Sun. They made one last comment before they broke up: “She sure was a nervous creature,” said Marie. I raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. They left me and Daimen in peace, for the time being. Well, guess what? Two nights later, another attack showed up. I sighed. Just like clockwork. I decided that these guys, whoever the seven of them were, if the seven were the enemy that it, were stuck in some kind of schedule. Spying was the only thing that could keep me sane during these little battles, so I went under the guise of Sailor Gaea. As I arrived by rooftop, I noticed that Sailors Jupiter, Zeus, Mercury, and Hermes were doing extremely well, as well as the tuxedos with their roses. I found that odd, but didn’t question. Sending up the dust wall again around the weaker senshi and scouts, at least against this particular monster; although Uranus and Heaven seemed to do okay, as well as Neptune and Poseidon and Mars and Ares; I jumped down to assist them. Plants were best or something, then a harsher form of water, like ice, I assumed, so my earth powers that came with Gaea’s transformation would work. I really hoped anyway. I had something about mother nature, and then something about roses, and then the tiara, scepter, and dust wall. (P.S. - All attacks not dealing with dust, scepters, or tiaras come from the staff. Um, the staff just sort of, what’s the word? Oh yeah, amplify, that’s it, amplify the attacks.) I figured, just to be on the safe side, I would use the mother nature attack. “Mother Nature, Come Forth,” I said quietly. All types of elements in nature; like fire, ice, earthy things, lightning, you know that sort of thing; headed from my staff, dodging the scouts, senshi, and tuxedos, and made a direct hit on the monster. I think it really liked metal a lot, judging from the knives stuck in assorted places around the battlefield. I picked one up as I headed closer, tossing it up and down like an expert knife thrower. The senshi and scouts in the dust wall gawked as I walked past. I walked right past the scouts and senshi, the tuxedos back, guarding the dust-walled ones. “Hey,” I said to the monster. It cocked its head to one side, staring at the knife. “Does this belong to you?” I asked. It nodded. “Would you like it back?” It nodded again. Tossing it in the air one more time, I spun, caught the knife, hurled it at the monster, and turned around to face the senshi and scouts. (Everyone is now scouts. It’s too annoying to right all that out.) I heard a strangled cry. Again, I turned, facing the monster. “Rose Storm, Engage,” I muttered, holding out my staff. Millions of roses, each different shades of different colors of the entire world, headed for the already half-dead monster. They seemed to cover the monster, then totally disappear, the monster gone with them. “Who are you?” asked Zeus, wide-eyed. “I’m not to say now,” I replied. “We’re not letting you get away until you tell us who you are!” shouted Sailor Moon. “How? You’re inside that,” I answered, shaking my head. I let the wall collapse, and headed directly for Tuxedo Masquerade. Zeus went near him. Now, during this whole time I had kept my eyes on the ground, head bowed. I waved my hand, and Zeus was forcefully pushed away from Masquerade, thanks to a little boost from the Earth Crystal. Finally reaching him, I looked up into his eyes, removing the mask. Taking a step back, I bowed and said, “My Prince.” “Lady, I don’t know who you are, or how you know I was a prince, but don’t call me that. Who are you anyway?” he asked. I straightened, looking directly into his eyes, my green eyes matching his unusual shade of green. “I am a guardian of this planet, as are you and your friends.” “What’s your name?” he insisted. “It would not be well to reveal my identity to you.” “I mean your scout or senshi name.” “If you must know, I am called by some Sailor Gaea. Others have wrongfully called me Sailor Earth. Earth is not my title.” “Where do you come from?” “I am not allowed to reveal that much.” All this time, I had kept my voice quiet enough so only he could hear me. “You sound like Pluto and Cronos,” he said. “Heaven forbid! Not Sailor Heaven,” I added as Heaven had started to move towards me. I smiled a quiet smile. “I must go, my Prince Terran. We shall meet again.” I headed off, but someone caught my staff. Looking back, I saw Tuxedo Mask holding onto the end. “Yes?” I asked. “How do you know who Tuxedo Masquerade was?” he demanded. “Why, Prince Endymion. You do not remember your little sister?” I asked teasingly, still quiet. “Sister?” he practically screeched. “Hai (yes), Princess Terra. Good-bye, Endymion. We shall meet again.” With that, I turned around and walked slowly away. I guess they gave a whole new meaning to ‘delayed reaction.’ I got about three blocks before I heard Masquerade screech out, “SISTER?!?!?!?” Needless to say, the next day was another meeting. This time, they made the guys stay in the living room, and Rini. Judging from her face, I had a feeling that she had already been grilled by her parents. Darien looked rather frazzled himself, and I knew for a fact that Daimen didn’t get much sleep last night, if any at all. I kept quiet the whole time they discussed Gaea. (Or Gaia for those of you who spell it different.) When they were about to finish, I started shaking my head. “What’s wrong?” asked Robbi accusingly. “Nothing. You guys really shouldn’t worry about them, as I’ve tried to tell you the past two times. We do have an enemy to worry about.” “She’s right,” said Luna and Artemis together. “For once,” added Luna, snidely. “Luna,” I said warningly. She blushed a bit. “We don’t even know who they are you guys. Amy, have you been even getting any data on the monsters?” Amy blushed and shook her head, full of shame. “And Raye, what about your priestess powers? Haven’t those kicked in yet?” Raye also blushed and bowed her head, embarrassed. “Look at yourselves!” I said loudly. “You’ve been falling apart and out of practice just because you haven’t had attacks for awhile in Japan or something and these new scouts got all of your panties in a twist. (A.N. - Ever seen 10 Things I Hate About You? If you have, you know where that line came from. It’s one of my favorites from the movie.) Even you, Darien, have fallen apart, skipping out on meetings, probably jumping into the fray right away instead of staying in reserve just in case. I mean, really!” “My sister is right,” said Serena quietly. “Oh, sister dear, you have no idea what you’re doing either. You probably grilled both your daughter and future husband to no ends last night just to find out about Gaea, who, if what you say is true, is his sister, Rini’s aunt, and probably whoever Terran is sister. Who is Terran by the way?” I asked. “I am,” said Daimen. “Oh, should’ve known. Like big brother, like little brother. Seriously, though, if you guys aren’t going to function in the proper way, perhaps we should just let them win without having to let them exhaust themselves against a bunch of disorganized scouts. I realize that some of you are new, and the older ones aren’t being much of an example, but you really should think hard before doing too much damage.” I sighed and stood up. “I’m going to my room. You guys think about what I said. See ya!” With that, it was off to my room. Through my door, I heard the murmurings of voices. After they left, there was a knock on my door. “Come in!” I said. “Hey, Buns,” said Daimen, walking and sitting on my bed. You know what I mean. I was a bit nervous or close to it when he sat down. “What’s up?” I asked, warily. “What you said today? That was really good. I think that they’ll work harder now or something. How did you know what to say?” “Well, first of all, I know what their personalities are like. Amy can’t stand having her intelligence insulted, no matter how small. Raye hates being reprimanded when it comes to her priestess powers or duties, and the others just hate being shown how stupid they’ve been acting period. Especially Alex. She can’t stand feeling inferior to anyone, even Marissa, and that doesn’t happen often. In some ways, it was revenge against those two, who always dealt with us as inferior children. I wasn’t actually a senshi then, but when they discovered each others’ identities and I was at meetings, boy, you could almost see the tension in the air. At least, until they learned to get along.” “Wow. No wonder you weren’t too thrilled when they came here.” “No, I wasn’t happy they came here because it meant having to watch from the sidelines again. Anyway, just telling them to let the enemy win is enough to rile them up. They want this future that we saw that we shouldn’t have seen.” “Is that how you met Rini?” “No.” We spent the rest of the evening in my room talking about the past. (Minds out of the gutters, bitte (please)!)
