5/2/00 (2 May 2000 or May 2, 2000) Hiya! Ready for the second chapter? I sorta have a cliffhanger, huh? Hope ya like! -Crescent Moon Standard disclaimers apply and go here: __________________ P.S. - I’ll make references to some of Lady Jendra’s characters and things, so they don’t belong to me neither. A New Princess R: Chapter Two “I could be his identical twin if it wasn’t for the eye color and height difference.” Well, that statement from Daimen sent me for a loop. I looked between them, realizing what he meant. “Um, well Daim, I don’t know. Coincidence?” I tried, but I knew it probably wasn’t. Something was going to happen here to me, him, and the girls, I just knew it. “Ah, Setsuna-chan, I see you’ve arrived on time, as planned,” said a familiar voice. I turned and saw Claudia. “Of course, Claudia. It’s Celia here, remember?” Pluto grinned. I sighed. ‘Figures,’ I thought. “You’ve known about this all night, haven’t you, Claudia?” I asked. She grinned and nodded. “You always were a smart one, dear. Always catching on to secrets.” I shook my head. “This is not happening,” I said to myself. “Claudia does not know Pluto, they’re not even here, and I never, ever heard this conversation.” “Sorry Bunny,” said Pluto. “It’s happening whether you like it or not. You are a part of the group.” “Wonderful!” I threw up my hands and exited from the gazebo, Daimen on my heels. “Buns, those people back there? Are they the ones you were telling me about?” he asked. I nodded in frustration. He expressed his opinion with a low, ‘whoa!’. “Hey, Bunny! Wait up!” shouted Sailor Moon, speedily catching up. She was flying thanks to these giant wings on her back. “Yes, Usagi-chan?” I asked patiently. “What’s wrong? I thought you would be glad to be one of us again?” She looked at Daimen, sending some message to him. He nodded and left, heading to Claudia. “I thought it would be great to be one of you guys again, but I’ve been here for so long, and I was just getting used to being normal and going to an American school and living with Daim and adjusting to my new friends, that I don’t know what I want anymore.” I started to sob, sinking down to the ground. (Ashie- Knees, butt, slouch. Ashie is Mars.) Sailor Moon sank with me, and gave me a hug. “It’s okay. I’m not sure whether or not you’re one of us actually, but we’re here and you can hang with us.” “Yeah, I guess, but do you know how hard it was to watch you guys fight, not being able to help? I could barely stand it. How am I going to be able to stand it now, especially on my own turf?” I looked up at her. “You know what it was like. You were stuck inside me, watching your friends and boyfriend get hurt while I was fighting.” “You’re right, I know. But, Bunny, seriously, we could use your help. You always were much better at being Sailor Moon than I was.” “That’s because I wanted to be Sailor Moon for awhile, and I really worked hard at being the best, just so Luna-chan and Rei-chan couldn’t reprimand me. I hated that, but you never minded, did you?” “True. Please, don’t cut us off, okay? Pluto and Claudia must know each other for some reason. Claudia is one of us, I can sense it, but let’s just hope that you don’t get dragged into this.” I nodded. “Okay, I’ll help out if I can. If anything crazy happens, like the girls or Daimen, and not me, being one of you guys, I am officially freaking out and committing myself to a mental institution.” Sailor Moon grinned at my joke. I always said that I must be going crazy. We headed back to the group, but now all of the girls; Amanda, Robbi, Marie, Lisa, Dawn, Tracy, and Miranda; were with Claudia and Daimen, politely chatting with the senshi. I shook my head. Daimen was the first to notice me. “Buns, you okay?” he asked, hugging me. “Yeah, I’m fine Daim. No problem. Could they come finish the ball with us? I need to catch up with everyone about stuff in Tokyo.” “Sure.” So, arrangements were made. The girls all transformed into their princess stage, all the colors of the planets. Chibi-Usa, who would be called Rini now, was sent to guard the Time Gates, just to get her ‘out from under our feet’, to quote Usagi. And, each girl picked an English name: Usagi became Serena, Ami was Amy, Minako decided Mina, Rei - Raye, Makoto was Lita, Hotaru decided on Tara, Haruka chose Alex, Michiru chose Marissa, and Setsuna was, of course, Celia. Mamoru stayed Tuxedo Kamen, but lost the top hat and cane. He chose Darien, and we all headed inside. Nobody noticed the extra ten guests in all of the confusion of the ball. Around three, a thought struck my drunk mind. The punch had been a bit spiked, so, yeah. “Daimen? Where are they going to stay?” I asked lazily. “Huh?” he asked. “Where’s Serena and them going to stay? They could stay with us for a night, but what then?” I grinned as I imagined all eleven of them jammed on the floor. Suddenly, the music stopped, and I was pulled by four girls up to the stage: Claudia, Miranda, Tracy, and Dawn. “We, the four of us, would like to wish our good friend, Bunny, a very happy sixteenth birthday,” said Claudia. Everyone at the ball ended up singing Happy Birthday to me. After that, I decided to get some air. It kept getting warmer in there. Sitting in the gazebo, again almost falling asleep, was fun. The air had cooled off some, so it was rather chilly for me. Suddenly, a bright flash of light brought me to consciousness. I immediately recognized the small figure glowing before me. “Queen Serenity!” I gasped. “Hello Bunny. I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m here?” I nodded. “Yes, well, you were right about being one of the group again, my dear. You are from the Silver Millennium. A princess too, four in fact. You were the younger Princess of the Moon, the younger Princess of the Earth, the Crown Princess of the Sun, and the Crown Princess of the Stars. I know it doesn’t make much sense at all, but it will, I promise. Now, as you probably guesses, you are the younger sister, Princess Selene, of Princess Serenity, crown princess of the Moon. So, seeing as you were also an heir, your grandmother created a new crystal from the excess power of the Moon in the past decades, due to inactivity. Your father, King of the Sun, decided that you were an heir as well to his kingdom, so the Sun Crystal was created for you, Princess Tranquility, different from the Sun Stone. Your aunt was the Queen of the Stars, and she was dying from a strange disease that direct female descendant of the Stars get. She decided to name you her heir, Princess Andromeda, because she had no known heir. Since the Star Jewel probably wouldn’t adapt to you without giving you the disease, she created a Star Crystal for you.” “But what about Earth?” I asked. “Well, the Earth Crystal was created for you as well, when our relations were peaceful.” “But why?” “Well,” Queen Serenity started, blushing. “This is rather embarrassing. When you weren’t even half a year old, you could crawl quite well, and fast. When we were on a visit to the Earth, you managed to crawl away from your nursemaid. The nursemaid covered it up until the last night of our stay, when I surprised her with Serenity to come and see you. We searched the palace, not finding you at all. One of the servants found you, and, since you weren’t real well known and the sigils don’t appear until you’re around six or seven, she took you in as her own for awhile. After we left, she brought you to the King and Queen, who were looking for a daughter. They adopted you in the fashion of a ‘blood-brother’, so to speak. The magic in the blood reacted quite well with the other three magics in your blood, causing the Earth sigil to appear prematurely. The Earth Gem, nor the Earth Sword, however, did not work with you, so the Earth Crystal was created. Endymion was in possession of the Earth Sword, and I believe still is. Terran, his younger brother, was in possession of the Earth Gem. I don’t know who he is or if he still has it. As for your guardians, they’re somewhere in this town, as is Terran.” “What’s the rest of the story?” “Rest?” “Yes, how did you find me again? What are the crystals like? Things like that.” “Well, when you turned six and a half, your sister around ten, the sigils of the Moon, silver, unlike anyone else, the Sun, gold of course, and the Stars, bronze, appeared on your forehead. You were immediately brought to the Moon, and your return was celebrated immensely, exactly eight years before the end of the Silver Millennium. As for the crystals, you should have them.” “You mean,” I pulled out the four I had found earlier, “these?” “Yes. The pink one is the Moon Crystal. It can be used to fix items, magical ones, to fight, of course, and it’s also to see the truth, sort of like Sailor Neptune’s mirror. The other three, the Sun, Stars, and Earth Crystals, are for you to learn about. I cannot help much beyond this. I can, however, show you what you generally wore. This dress you’re currently wearing is the one from the Moon. This white and gold one,” She waved her hand over me, as best she could. “is from the sun.” The dress was identical to the pink one, only white and gold, instead of pink and silver. “This one, is from the Stars.” Again, she waved her hand and I was wearing a black and bronze dress identical. “And this one, modified to match the other ones from when you were little, is from the Earth.” This time, after she waved, I was wearing one that was a cerulean blue with crystalline designs. “And, the sigils appear for every dress, and your eyes change color each time as well.” “Change color?” I asked. “Yes. Currently, your eyes are green, but they should be blue, should they not? On the Moon they were blue, in the Stars they were violet, and on the Sun they were brown. Interesting, don’t you think Selene?” “This may sound stupid, but can I become a senshi?” “Yes, of course. Here.” She tossed me a white communicator and a locket. The locket was a purple color, with different colored designs on it. Opening it, I discovered four slots, one for each crystal. “All you have to do is pick a crystal, say the kingdom it’s from and Crystal Power, and you become Sailor Artemis, or Sun, or Star, or Gaea. Terran owns the Earth title.” “Okay, and thank you, Mother.” “You’re welcome, my dear. Pluto and Cronos will shortly be awakening your guardians.” “My guardians?” “Yes, the Myth Senshi, or Scouts. Selene, use your powers wisely. You have at least one attack the same for each, but the rest are different. Be careful, hmm?” She winked and disappeared. Standing up, I noticed that everyone had started to leave. “Cronos, hmm? Must be Claudia.” I headed back to the ballroom, quickly changing my appearance as I went. I decided to tell Serena in the morning after my hangover had decided to disappear. Well, Queen Serenity got to Serena and her crew before I could. All she told them was that I was Princess Selene, and that the Myth Senshi, soon to be awakened, were my guardians. Apparently, though, Queen Serenity also got to Daimen, because he kept asking Darien about her. I overheard one conversation as I passed them going to the bathroom. Celia (Setsuna) would bow to me and respectfully call me Princess. I told to go bow to my sister. Claudia did the same to me, and Serena (Usagi) and Darien (Mamoru) and Daimen, though I didn’t figure out why just yet. Even Rini (Chibi-Usa) got the royal treatment, after she came back from the Time Gates. Only, she called the guys Prince, not Princess. I started to assume that Daimen, who I had started to get a crush on (which scared me very much, considering I lived with him.), was Terran, my older ‘brother’. I started to hope that he was. Now, for about the next week, a new Myth Scout was found about once a day. We had Sailor Cronos; Claudia, Sailor Poseidon; Miranda, Sailor Heaven; Tracy, Sailor Zeus; Lisa, Sailor Ares; Robbi, Sailor Aphrodite; Marie, and Sailor Hermes; Amanda. I started to wonder if Dawn would be part of our group. She looked so much like Tara. I hoped so. Dawn was such a sweetie! Unfortunately, each was found during a fight, which I was not allowed to par-take in. Totally unfair! Daimen got to go as Tuxedo Masquerade, so that kept up my hope. Finally, Dawn was out with me two days after the last attack. There hadn’t been one the night before, so the senshi and scouts got rested up. (Do Tuxedo Mask and Masquerade count as senshi and scouts? I’m really curious.) Anyway, we were wandering around, not sure whether or not to go shopping or home. We passed the computer company, and then this thing dropped down on us! I shrieked, and Dawn shoved me out of the way, and just barely managed to dodge herself. The monster advanced on us, me screaming, but Dawn just stood in the way, totally unafraid. She seemed to be getting angrier or something. She started advancing on the monster, a purple glow surrounding her. Suddenly, she yelled out, “Hades Power!” As I watched, she transformed into a Myth Senshi, Sailor Hades, the Scout of Death, opposite Sailor Saturn. (A.N.- Now, I know that in Greek and Roman mythology, Hades became Pluto, and Cronos became Saturn, but Sailor Pluto is the Senshi of Time, not death, as Hades was the God of Death. Sailor Saturn is the Senshi of Death, but Cronos was God of Time. Strange, huh? And, Sailor Heaven is really the Greek god Uranus, father of Cronos, grandfather of Zeus. She’s Heaven because there is no alternative to Uranus, and that’s already being used by the original senshi of that planet, ‘kay?) Now, I suppose you wonder what the Myth Scouts look like, since you already know about the Senshi, huh? Well, they looked somewhat like their planetary counterparts, only the shoulders had little fringe-things on the color of the collar, and their tiaras were silver instead of gold. Their skirts were also different. Instead of pleated, they came out in points, like flower petals. Okay, Hermes, Zeus, Heaven, and Poseidon all had the same color bows and stuff. Hades’ colors were a dark purple; the skirt, collar, choker, and boots, but her bows were a light purple. Cronos’ colors were black; the skirt, collar, choker, and boots, but her bows were grayish, sort of shiny. Aphrodite’s front bow, which was blue on Venus, was yellow, like their back bows a.k.a. butt bows. Ares’ butt bow was purple like the front bow on Mars and herself. Now, this was actually the first time I got to see them in action. Tuxedo Mask was the first to realize I was still in the middle of everything. He motioned to Tuxedo Masquerade to get me out of there. Tuxedo Masquerade was like Mask in every way, except no top hat (yea!), he threw dark blue roses, and the cape was lined with dark blue. He picked me up cradle-style and got me out of the way. I pouted as he left, because I didn’t get a chance to go help. So, I started to devise a plan that would let me. All they knew was that I was Princess of the Moon. Not even Darien or Daimen had a clue about the other three. At least, I hoped not. I decided that I would transform into different scouts, except the Moon Scout, and spy on them in case they needed help! Yea for my plan! It started about three days later, a week after they had found a place to stay. A call came over the communicator, saying that there was an attack somewhere or other. I watched as Daimen left in a rush, saying that he’d be back safe and sound. I nodded, thinking that I would help make sure that would happen. I had experimented with my transformations, and I found that as Sailor Gaea, I could spy on them the easiest. The boots, bodice, collar, choker, skirt, shoulder thingies, jewel in the tiara, and a staff, that seemed to be more for support that attacking, were black. The tiara, bows, trimming, the bottom and sigil of the Earth on the staff were a crystalline color. Oh, and the skirt was like a regular senshi, and I had the shoulder fringe on one side only, my right. Using the top of buildings, I made my way quickly over to the site, watching quietly over them. I felt like Tuxedo Mask, always watching until you were needed. It was scary. But, they didn’t need me at all. Disappointed, I headed back to the apartment before the others. The next two times were exactly alike, about two days apart. Very frustrating for me. Then, about three days later, an attack came that no one could beat. Knowing all the powers I had, I chose to become Sailor Star, since her attacks were totally different than everyone elses. As I shouted my transformation phrase, a soft glow, like star light, surrounded my body. I was transformed into a black bodice, but everything else that was black on my Gaea outfit was purple. I think it had something to do with the color of the crystal or my eyes. The crystalline-colored things became bronze, except the sign of Earth changed into a five-point star with silver dots off the end of the points. This outfit was exactly the same as the Myth Scouts, unlike my Gaea costume. Did I mention my hair? I don’t think I did. Okay, when I was Sailor Gaea, my hair was in long, French-braided pig-tails, tied with crystalline and black bows. As Sailor Star, my hair was like Mina’s, only it was in two bows, purple, of course, and braided down in two little braids. The rest was hanging free. When I was Sailor Sun, which I had only done once in secret, it was pig-tails, which were braided, not French, though, and they looped around my head in a crazy pattern. I think it was the outline of the sun symbol, but I wasn’t positive. And, of course, as Sailor Artemis, my hair was up in odango or meatballs, whichever you prefer. I’ll explain the outfits when it comes to that. Anyway, as Sailor Star, I had some strange attacks. I had a tiara attack (all of them did), a scepter attack (again, all did), a thing about a black hole, a star streamers thing from the staff, and a cosmic dust wall (all again). I started with the one about black holes. “Black Hole Attack! (Creative, eh? No, I’m not Canandian.)” I said from the roof top. The attack came in from all sides, and it was pretty much invisible, so the monster had no idea what hit it. I didn’t know if it was a she or a he. I saw that the thing had collapsed, but wasn’t exactly dead. Both Sailor Moon and Chibi-Moon were down for the count. “Cosmic Dust Wall Surround!” I said, pointing with my staff at the senshi and scouts and tuxedos, and a wall of dust surrounded them. I jumped down, letting them see me. I winced as a collective gasp went up from the still-conscious senshi and scouts. Even poor Daimen was out of it. I decided then to use the Star Streamers and see if that would work. “Star Streamers, Wrap!” Purple ribbons flew from the staff and quickly bound up the monster, not doing much. “Star Glitter Tiara, Magic!” The tiara trapped it. “Shoot! Black Hole Attack!” Well, that did something at least. The monster died. “Finally! That thing was more stubborn than a mule,” I said, exasperated. Then I turned and saw them staring at me. I sighed. “Okay, I suppose you want to get out?” They nodded. “Cosmic Dust Wall, Collapse!” The wall fell and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. “Who are you?” Sailor Uranus managed to get out, struggling to stand. “I’m Sailor Star. I think I’ll keep an eye on you guys more often. See you when you need help.” I looked at Tuxedo Masquerade once more, then jumped to the roof and got away.
