4/30/00 (April 30, 2000 or 30 April 2000) Hiya! This is Crescent Moon, ready to take you back into the memories of one Bunny Crescent. This is the start of the actual story. Ready? Well, here goes! Oh yeah, the original version of the prologue, which was told to my buddy, Aquamarine Angel a.k.a. Nikki Chiz a.k.a. Mercury, involved Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z, too. -Crescent Moon All standard disclaimers apply and belong here. A New Princess R: Chapter One Living with Daimen wasn’t bad. In fact, his apartment was really nice. Only problem was, I had to go to school soon. The airplane wouldn’t be fixed until November, and the pilot wouldn’t be out of the hospital for a few weeks anyway. I couldn’t even drive yet, much less rent a car and drive home. Daimen had to get back to school too, so he couldn’t drive me. I registered at the only high school there. Daimen was nineteen, and he went to college. I managed to meet all of his friends, which, for some odd reason, were all girls, with the exception of one: a man named Andy who worked at an arcade, and was his age. I couldn’t believe the irony of it. He had four friends besides Andy: Lisa, Marie, Robbi, and Amanda, who were all two years older than me. They reminded me of Makoto, Minako, Rei, and Ami. Andy was a dead-ringer for Motoki. Also, Daimen was a carbon-copy of Mamoru, only he had green eyes and wasn’t quite so tall. (A.N.- I’m screwing up the ages. Tsukino Usagi became the four girls’ age, 19, when she got a body in the last chapter, and Mamoru was 21 when Elizabeth (Bunny) left. Sorry!) He said he had more, but they weren’t in Yarkington currently. I felt like I was back in Tokyo for awhile, until I could find some distinguishing features between them. Makoto had been a fighter and chef, where Lisa cooked, but was very passive. Minako had been sort of air-headed and a great singer, but Marie was very studious and a great musician, voice or any other instrument. Rei had been a priestess and had a temper, while Robbi was quiet and worked hard at becoming an actor. Ami and Amanda were very similar, but Amanda was more out-going than Ami. Andy was studying to be a botanist, but Motoki had wanted to become a brain surgeon. It was rather interesting to spend time with them. They were the sweetest bunch of people I’d ever met, just like the group back in Tokyo. I never saw Ranma again though, and that made me sad. Anyway, for the first four weeks of school, I had to adjust to everything. It was weird when I was so used to a Japanese school. After I stopped getting detention for not going to the right class, I spent my after school time at either the arcade, a park near the arcade, or I wandered around town. Daimen would be home around five thirty, so I made sure to be back by then. I found a dojo during the fifth week of school, and I sat down to watch the classes. Checking the schedule, I discovered I was watching one of the more advanced classes. I settled in, expecting to be dazzled, but I nearly fell asleep after the first half. This was stuff that I had learned halfway through the summer with Ranma and Genma. A man I had noticed on the other side of the room startled me into consciousness. “Can I help you?” I asked, after my initial shriek. “I noticed that you were looking forward to watching, but then almost fell asleep just now. I was wondering why,” he said. “Why? Well, this is stuff I learned halfway through last summer with my relatives. Does it matter that much to you?” “Well, yes. You see, I own this place. My name is Zachariah Michelson, but everyone calls me Mike.” He held out his hand, which I shook. “Saotome Usagi,” I said without thinking. “I mean, Elizabeth Crescent, but call me Bunny.” Too late. “You’re related to the Saotomes, Ranma and Genma?” he squeaked out. “Um, yeah? Do you know them by chance?” “Know them? No, but I’ve heard of them. They’re the best martial artists this world has ever seen! They’ve won everyone major competition all over the world at least twice, and that Ranma kid is better than his father!” “Wow! I didn’t realize that Ranma-kun was such a good martial artist. I mean, sure he’s beaten Mako-chan on numerous occasions, but still..... He never tells me anything good!” I pouted. “So, you’re related to them?” he asked eagerly. “Well, I spent about the last year and three months pretending to be their daughter. I only saw them in the summer or when they came to visit me in Japan. Ranma and Genma were always on trips or something.” “Wow! Can you show me some stuff they taught you?” “I’d love to,” I checked my watch, “but I can’t right now. I have to get back to the apartment before Daimen. Maybe tomorrow?” “Sure. Do you need an outfit?” “Nah, I’ve got one somewhere. See ya tomorrow Mike!” “Bye Bunny.” I stood up and headed out. As I exited, I saw Daimen slowing to a stop at a stop sign. I waved at him, and he backed up and let me in the car. “Hi Daimen!” I exclaimed. “Hey, Buns, what’s up?” he asked. “Not much. Tomorrow I get to fight this guy named Mike at that place back there.” “Why are you fighting Mike?” he asked, seemingly angry. “Because he wanted to see some stuff that Ranma and Genma taught me. Is that bad?” I asked, worried. “No, sorry. Mike’s a good guy, so it was a weird thing to hear you say you’re going to fight with him. Isn’t spar a better word?” “I guess. Sorry.” The rest of ride was silent, and we had supper when we got back to the apartment. Well, you could say the sparring match didn’t go as planned. I figured that he would end up beating me in the end, but, well, he didn’t. I beat him, three times in a row, before he was too tired to continue. He offered me a position teaching the little kids aerobics and things, and I accepted. I would teach them every Saturday morning, eleven to noon. I also got my learner’s permit. Things went well until my sixteenth birthday. That was a Saturday, and that evening there would be a ball. Wait, let me back up. A week before my birthday, I had somehow conjured up the Luna Pen. If that wasn’t scary enough, I also found the Crescent Moon Wand, which had supposedly disappeared after the battle with Beryl, or something, and a crystal. Right away I could tell it was a magic item, so I called Usagi-chan long distance from the apartment right away. She teleported over with Artemis and Luna. After inspecting the three things, they announced they were all real. “But I’ve got the Silver Crystal right here,” said Usagi. “This is just a crystal from the Moon Kingdom. It’s not the Silver Crystal,” explained Artemis, who seemed to know more than Luna. “Do you have any more things in there, Usa-, I mean Bunny?” “I can check,” I said. I did, and three more crystals tumbled out. One was a whitish color, one was blackish, one was multi-colored, and the first one was sorta pinkish. “Until we learn more, I’ll stay here, and you should leave all those things alone,” declared Artemis. Everyone agreed, and Usagi teleported away with Luna. Now, Daimen came home the minute that Usagi left, so he had a lot of questions. He wasn’t exactly thrilled to learn about this, but he let me stay. Okay, now we can get to my birthday. That evening there would be a ball at the college, in honor of these four girls, one who was two years older than me, two who were four years older than me, and one who was about six years older then me. Apparently, they were town heroes or something, and Daimen got me an invite. All of his friends, including Andy, would be there. He said that the four girls; Dawn, Miranda, Tracy, and Claudia; were friends of his. I just nodded before I was whisked away by the four girls to go dress shopping. We all found these really pretty dresses. Amanda, being conservative, found one with a higher collar and three-quarter sleeves in blue, sort of pale. Marie seemed to love any kind of dress, took the longest, but finally settled on this pretty pale yellow one with long sleeves and a low neck line. Robbi was content with a red dress, semi-dark, that had a modest neck-line and was sleeve-less. Lisa found one right away. Hers was a dark forest green, a semi-low neck line, and elegant see-through sleeves. They all had to shop in a department that had sizes too big for me, so I was the last to get my dress. I found two that I really, really liked. One was white, floor length, as they all were, with a tight top from the waist up. It had straps of gold, with gold trimming, and the neck line was pretty low. Then I found a pale pink one almost exactly like it with silver trimming, only the neck line was higher, it looked like a Grecian toga, and there was more silver decoration. I liked them both, but the moment I stepped out with the pink one on, the girls insisted I get that one. So, I did. My own credit card, another gift from my parents, came in handy. Then we went to another store and picked out shoes. More fun, especially since the girls insisted that my shoes perfectly matched the dress. I ended up with pink sandals similar to the ones I had in Japan, only with high heels, and more dressy. Then came accessories: jewelry, purses, the whole bit. They even got me some hair things, just so they could play with my hair. And, we all got masks that matched the dresses, just like everything else. That took all morning, from eight until twelve. Then, we all went to Lisa’s house for lunch, her parents being on a trip for the whole year. Don’t ask, I never figured that one out. So, by the time the ball rolled around, we were ready. Daimen would be my escort, and the girls had all found some mutual friends that would bring them. When he picked me up from Lisa’s, I nearly spazzed out. He looked like a carbon copy of Tuxedo Kamen, only his cape was lined with dark blue. “What?” he asked as I stared at him. “Is it the cape? Well, don’t worry, I’ll take it off before we go in.” “No it’s not that. It’s just, you look a lot like Mamoru-kun as Tuxedo Kamen.” He nodded his understanding, and off we went. Arriving at the ball, we mingled and I met people I didn’t know from school, and I met the people that Daimen went to school with, and who he worked with at a computer company in the town. All in all, it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, someone decided that my dress was a perfect place for champagne, again. Some lady, who seemed to have had a little too much already, had spilled her glass on me, so I excused myself and went in search of the bathroom. I found it at the back. A lady in there, wearing a black dress trimmed with pale purple, helped me with my dress. Unfortunately, Artemis had been stuffed in my hand bag, because he insisted, and he finally leaped out. Noticing the lady, he immediately high-tailed it outta there. The lady laughed. “What a cute cat,” she said. “Yeah, well, Artemis can be a handful. By the way, I’m Elizabeth, but I’m called Bunny.” I held out my hand. “I’m Claudia,” she said lightly. “It’s nice to meet you.” “Same here. Thanks for helping me with my dress. You’re friends with Daimen right?” I asked. She nodded, and the two of us headed out. We met up with three other girls, Tracy, a pale blonde in a deep blue dress, Miranda, a, uh, girl with black hair tinted aqua, with a dress of aqua and turquoise, and Dawn, a slight girl, with hair like Robbi’s, only the tint was darker, and a deep purple dress. We caught up with Daimen and the other girls, and they all had a happy reunion. I stood off to the side and watched, missing my own crew from home, or even the crew in Japan. Claudia noticed me, I guess, and dragged me into the conversation. Then came the sit-down dinner part, and we all headed into the dining room off of the ball room. The ten of us (?) were all seated at the high table, me and Daimen at one end with Robbi, and Marie, Lisa, and Amanda on the other, the four ‘guests-of-honor’ in the middle. Dinner was an interesting affair. Now, I generally have a large appetite, but for some odd reason, tonight I could barely get any food in. I was really jittery earlier, and it wasn’t because I didn’t know how to dance, which I did. And since Artemis had gone off, I had lost my source of real comfort. Daimen noticed this and immediately asked if I was sick. “No, I don’t think so. I’m just nervous, I guess.” “What about?” he asked. I shrugged. “Dancing?” I made a weak excuse. He chuckled and let it go. During the dessert, I felt a scratching at my leg. I put hand down under the table and felt Artemis jump on my lap. “What’s up?” I whispered. “I’m getting really bad vibes. I think that something is going to happen shortly.” Artemis looked up at me with his big, blue eyes. “I think that the Enemy, who ever it is, will be here soon.” “Are you sure? I mean, I’ve been really jittery, but I don’t think that the Negaverse or something is just going to show up, do you?” Artemis nodded. “Anything’s possible with the enemy.” Then he darted off. “Buns, what is up with the cat? He was gone before I could even say hi,” said Daimen. “He’s just nervous because of all the people. Don’t worry.” I tried to reassure myself as well, but it didn’t work. Just as we were about to finish the meal, there was a crash from the ceiling’s glass roof. Everyone, except stupid me, ducked under the tables. Luckily, I wasn’t impaled. In the middle of the room were seven people, four boys, three girls. “Yes, I think this will be an excellent place to look,” said the man in red. A woman in blue and another one in gold agreed with him. “There is a lot of energy here,” said the man in green. “Yeah, but are they here?” asked a man in silver. “Don’t be impertinent! (Impotent, for all of you in Mrs. Ingram’s 6th hour Beginning Theater class.)” said a woman in gray. A man in black nodded. “Enough!” said the man in red. “We will begin here. Let’s leave and regroup for plan making.” The seven people disappeared. I was left standing in shock as the glass picked itself up and went back into the roof. Soon, everyone exited from under the tables, and the ball continued on as if nothing had happened. I went along with the flow, to preoccupied to care. The ball continued on until about four in the morning, but at two, I had to get some fresh air. Daimen offered to come with me, and the two of us headed out to a little gazebo type thing. We were relaxing, me almost falling asleep, when a flash of light and shout of excitement and surprise startled me. I jerked up and saw Daimen staring at ten senshi and one Tuxedo Kamen, and them staring back. Luna and Artemis were in the middle with a gray kitten, talking. “Um, guys? Is there a reason you’re here?” I asked them, in English, hoping they all would understand. “Well, Mercury pinpointed a negative energy reading here about, oh, six hours ago. We decided to get over here and check it out, but some people were still asleep,” said Sailor Moon, in a different fuku, looking at Uranus, Neptune, and Mars, who were also in different fukus, I think. Again, the only reason I knew who they were was because of the television show and the internet. “What happened to your uniforms?” I asked. “We got power-ups,” said Venus proudly. “We are now the Super Senshi, and Sailor Moon is in her Eternal form.” “Oh. Hey, I know what that negative point was. It was these seven people who crashed the dinner at the ball about six hours ago. Artemis and me have been really jittery the whole night because of them about to come. It was freaky, and I was the stupid one who didn’t duck under the table.” “Are you hurt?” asked Tuxedo Kamen, apparently worried. I knew why, but it was weird having him worried over me. “Nah, it all landed in the middle of the room, right Daim?” I turned to him. “Daim?” Daimen continued to stare. I tapped his shoulder. He turned to me, wide-eyed, and croaked, “Why do I look like that guy so much?” “I told you you looked like Tuxedo Kamen, but do you believe me? No, you had to wear that cape.” I rolled my eyes. He grabbed my shoulder and forced me to look at him. “That’s not what I meant,” he whispered. “Then what?” I whispered back. “I could be his identical twin if it wasn’t for the eyes and height difference.”
