Falling from the Nightmares into Sweet Winter Dreams ~A sequence of Selenity and Endymion's wishes~ Part: 1/1 By: Loralei Fairhill Rated: PG Genre: Silver Millenium As I was digging through my "story drawer" I came upon this. It isn't very long, and I don't think it's very good, but I had this feeling that it was time to re-release it. I sent this in to a list that I used to be on, and they seemed to enjoy it very much. But that was back . . . way back in March. Since then, the story remained hidden in my many sheets of paper, pads, and pens that I have strewn all over my desk (and my mothers ^^;) and my room. I discovered it amongst the first pages of End of the Charade that I had written. I knew that it was time to have other people read it. Special thanks go out to Anon Masako, because I couldn't for the life of me remember which song I had used for this fic! ^^; Thanks girl, I owe you one. Now, on with the story! heeł The music drifted slowly towards the heavens. He could hear her voice bend and sway, dancing with the chords and arpeggios. He knew she sang only for him. §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ Spend all you time waiting for that second chance, for a break that would make it okay. There's always some reason to feel not good enough, and it's hard at the end of the day. I need some distraction oh beautiful release. Memory seep from my veins. Let me be empty oh and weightless and maybe I'll find some peace tonight §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ "I wish . . . more than anything . . . more than life . . . more than dreams . . ." her lotus-colored eyes seemed to say, "I wish . . . thou couldst love me . . . angel. . . ." "Angel . . ." he echoed. He had waited a very long time for this moment, for her words to wash over him like the soothing ocean's tide, to put him at peace. He had longed for it, yearned for it, then made it his reality. Or was it still just a dream? §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ in the arms of the angel. Fly away from here, From this dark, cold hotel room and the endlessness that you fear. You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie. You're in the arms of the angel. May you find some comfort here. §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ She bent down, her face dangerously close to his, and she whispered, "I wish thou couldst love me . . . end my falling nightmares. Start my sweet winter dreams. Fade the darkness and shine your light. Forgive me. . . ." "Forgive me my tresspass, sweet angel," he mumbled as he drew her face closer to his and gently kissed her lips. She drew back, frightened. "Dost thou love me truly, my prince?" "Yes, forever, my princess. Thou didst know from the start my mind better than I." And he kissed her again, sweetly. "Is it true, or am I dreaming? Have I gone to heaven to stay?" She kissed him back, twining her hands through his silky ebony hair. Then she pulled back; a beam of moonlight shone down next to them. "They call me. I must go. . . ." A single tear made its solitary path down her alabaster cheek. He brushed it tenderly away with his thumb, and gently kissed her eyelids. "No more nightmares, my love. Only sweet dreams, keep dreaming sweet dreams. . . ." §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ You're so tired of the straight line, and ev'rywhere you turn there's vultures and thieves at your back. Storm keeps on twisting. Keep on building the lies that you make up for all that you lack. It don't make no diff'rence escaping one last time. It's easier to believe in this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness that brings me to my knees §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ *** He awoke. *** She awoke. *** He looked up at the moon. *** She looked down at the earth. *** Together they said: "I fell from the nightmares . . . into sweet winter dreams. . . ." §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ in the arms of the angel. Fly away from here, From this dark, cold hotel room and the endlessness that you fear. You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie. You're in the arms of the angel. May you find some comfort here. §¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤§¤ Sooo? How bad, how good, how anything was it?
