Hi. My name is Bethi_Usako, if you haven’t guessed that yet. This is my first story that I’ve ever written, so I hope that it’s good. It’s pretty long, so please take the time to read it, even if it seems stupid in the middle. I also hope I spelt the names right and used the right words. This is set in the American school year 1999-2000, during the American 10th grade. I know that the scouts aren’t really in this year of high school, but oh well. It’s late April, and everyone is 16, except Usagi. Haruka and Michiru are a grade ahead, in 11th, and Setsuna doesn’t go to the school. Anyone else older is obvious. I’m using a cross of anime and manga, I think. And don’t bug me about the weird names I made for certain people. Please send me feed back. Sailor and Soldier Universe by: Bethi_Usako (bethi_usako@hotmail.com) “Mamo-chan?” “Yes, Usako?” “Do you ever wish that you could remember more of the Silver Millennium?” “Sometimes. Why?” “I don’t know. But every time I’m around this new girl at school, who’s been here for two weeks, something weird flashes through my mind, but I can’t see it clearly.” “I’m sure it’s nothing. Maybe she’s just from the Silver Millennium. It doesn’t matter too much.” Chiba Mamoru and Tsukino Usagi were sitting on a bench in the park. “C’mon Usako, I should get you home. The Lights are on their way anyways.” “I know,” Usagi said as they started to walk away. “I’ll see you tomorrow at the scout meeting, okay, Usako?” Mamoru said when they got to Usagi’s house and kissed her cheek. “Okay. I hate Mondays. Bye, Mamo-chan!” “Bye, Usako.” Monday, lunch time at Juuban High School. “So, Usagi-chan, how was your time last night with Mamoru-san?” asked Makoto. “We had fun. He cheered me up a bit. Why, Mako-chan?” Usagi asked as she went back to her lunch. “No reason. I always like to know how you are doing.” “Oh. Don’t worry too much. I- Oh! Hey! Erizabefu-san! Hi!” Usagi called to a girl who walked by. “Huh? Oh, hello, Usagi-san.” A girl with dark blonde hair as long as Usagi’s, held back by crystal blue clips, and with ice-crystal blue eyes waved to her. “Would you like to join us?” “Sure. Who are your friends?” Erizabefu sat down. “This is Kino Makoto, Mizuno Ami, Aino Minako, Hino Rei (I’m making it so she transferred), Tomoe Hotaru (She grew to the age of the younger scouts), Ten’ou Haruka, Kai’ou Michiru, Seiya Kou, Taiki Kou, and Yaten Kou.” Usagi pointed to each in turn. “The guys came back to visit us. They’re also known as the Three Lights.” “Is that why every girl in class started screaming?” asked Erizabefu. Usagi nodded. “Well, it’s nice to meet you,” Erizabefu said. The girls all shook their heads as if coming out of a trance. The guys looked at the girls like they were nuts. Haruka looked at Erizabefu, not sure if to trust her. So did Rei. Everyone settled down and a conversation started. “Erizabefu-san, where did you live before you came to around here?” asked Ami. “Well, I was born in Minato-ku or Juuban, one of the two, but when I was four, we moved to America, because my father was transferred. He got transferred again and we moved all over the world. Finally, he was transferred back here.” Erizabefu took a drink of the soda she had. “Perhaps you can help me with my English, or all of us.” Ami smiled. “Perhaps.” Erizabefu smiled back. “Who are your parents?” asked Minako. “Which ones?” “What does that mean?” Minako had a confused expression. “Do you want to know about my birth parents, or my adoptive parents?” “Uh, both?” “I don’t know my birth parents, I just know that I have an older, twin sister. They kept her, but they had to give up me. My adoptive parents are Rachiru Naru and Motoki.” Erizabefu showed them a picture of her adoptive parents in her wallet. Another picture slipped out. “Who’s this? Your older brother? He’s pretty cute,” Makoto stated as she picked it up. Erizabefu blushed. “Actually, that’s my boyfriend. He’s in college, trying to get transferred to Azabu College here. He’s doing it just for me too. It’s really sweet of him.” All of the girls looked at the picture. A man with dark brown hair that was tinted blonde and midnight-blue eyes was in the picture. It said “Derek ’99” on it in gold. “How is it that you can talk about your parents so openly?” asked Haruka. “Ruka-chan!” hissed Michiru. (I know that’s not what she calls her, but Haruka is Ruka-chan, and Michiru is Chiru-chan.) “No, it’s okay. I don’t really mind that much. It’s never bothered me that I’m adopted. Naru and Motoki have been kind to me, but are like real parents. They’ve always told me the truth.” Erizabefu shrugged as she talked. “Hey! Tell us about this Dee-reek guy!” exclaimed Usagi. “That’s Dare-eck. He’s really nice, but he’s pretty strong, which scared me at first. He’s really smart, too. Top of his class. You’ll probably meet him sometime when he comes.” Erizabefu suddenly smiled as she realized that Derek would be coming soon. “Can I show this picture to Mamo-chan?” Usagi asked. “Who?” Erizabefu was confused, but Haruka and Rei caught an odd smile from her. Mamo was part of a boy’s name, but Usagi-san had put chan on the end. (Not sure if that’s a good explanation. Isn’t chan for girls?) “Chiba Mamoru. It’s her boyfriend. He goes to Azabu High School,” explained Hotaru. “Oh, thank-you, Hotaru-san. Sure, but give it back to me tomorrow in class, okay?” The bell rang for the end of lunch. The girls started walking to the building. “No problem. Oh, and one more thing, Erizabefu-san. Call me Usagi-chan or Usa-chan, okay?” “Okay, but only if you call me Befu-chan.” “Deal.” After school, Rei’s temple. “So, why is this meeting called?” asked Mamoru. “Rei’s been getting some odd readings in the fire, and I’ve been getting strange signals with my Mirror,” said Michiru. “What does it mean?” asked Ami. Michiru and Rei shrugged. “Why don’t the two of you do a combined, uh, reading/mirror thing to get the answer? Like, ask what’s causing the strange readings?” suggested Usagi. “That might work!” exclaimed Ami. Everyone trooped into the Fire Room of the Hikawa Jinga. Rei and Michiru sat in front, doing their rituals. Soon, a picture of two people formed in the fire and mirror. “No way! That’s Befu-chan and her boyfriend, Dee-reek!” exclaimed Usagi. “Dare-eck,” corrected Ami. “What ever. But that’s them. I have the picture of Derek with me, remember?” Usagi pulled it out. “He’ll be going to Azabu College soon.” “Okay. That means Mamoru-san can watch him, and we’ll watch Erizabefu-san at school,” said Rei. “What do you mean, we’ll watch her? Befu-chan is not an evil person!” Usagi stormed out of the fire room. “I better go after her. You guys discuss what to do if they are the enemy.” Mamoru grabbed the picture and quickly left the room, following Usagi. “Usako! Usako! Wait up! Usa- oof!” Mamoru called out to Usagi as he ran until he hit something in his stomach. The girl from the fire reading and he had collided. “Excuse me. I’m sorry.” The girl continued to run off in the direction she had been going. ‘Strange,’ Mamoru thought. He continued on running until he caught up with his girlfriend. “Usako, you shouldn’t have run off like that!” he scolded. “I’m sorry, Mamo-chan. But Befu-chan is really nice, and we don’t even know who Dee-reek is.” “Dare-eck. Here’s the picture.” Mamoru pulled it out of his pocket. “How about I take you home now so you’re not late for supper.” Usagi nodded. They walked slowly. About a block from Usagi’s house, Erizabefu ran past them. “Befu-chan!” Usagi called. “Huh?” Erizabefu stopped running. “Oh! It’s you, Usa-chan! Hi! Oh! I’m sorry about running into you earlier, Mamoru-san, right?” “Yeah. I assume that Usako told you about me?” “Yes. I didn’t know it was you earlier. I’m really sorry about that.” “What are you two talking about?” Usagi butted in. “Your friend did what you used to do every morning when you were late: run into me, literally.” Mamoru smiled at Usagi as she blushed. “I’m really sorry. I have to go now. See you tomorrow, Usa-chan!” Erizabefu ran off. “Well, she’s in a hurry,” Usagi commented. “Maybe she doesn’t want to be late for supper.” Usagi gasped, grabbed Mamoru’s wrist, and raced off with him in tow.
