Rain
It's raining outside
I hate the rain
'Cause I'm crying
'Raining' on the inside
I watch as you get in your car
You start to pull away
For some reason you stop
And it brightens up my day
Hope fills my heart
And joy fills my mind
That you're coming back
And everything will be fine
And for a second the rain stops
Seeming to hold its breath
Making me remember the rainbow
About God's covenant
So maybe the same will be inside
As it is on out
And a rainbow will replace with a smile
My unhappy, upset pout
But as I watch
The car moves on
And I sit to ponder
What went wrong
The rain starts again
I hate the rain
I try to remember the rainbow
And filter out the pain
