In the anime, John managed to save Felicia twice from those Huitzils, hinting that he cares about her well-being (and what a well-being it is!). In the manga, he caves in to her request that he report the murder scene she just witnessed recently (he didn't want to get involved in human affairs) since then, she kept staying with him (a sign, perhaps?). It's just so cute the way they hang around each other! Also, Felicia's just the woman to get John to loosen up and learn to respect humanity, despite being feared. Then again, what guy wouldn't want to get hooked up with a sexy catwoman? I think the reason is because he doesn't want her to get hurt & he doesn't want to get distracted from what he needs to do. But I know that in Gaiden though, Ryo falls for a girl named Luna. I think that he still liked Mia, but he was unsure about her feelings so he turned to Luna for a relationship. But Luna dies so I think he & Mia do get together farther in the series. Ryo has a mean temper but Mia can stop it. They also understand eachother very well because they're both orphans & understand what it's like to be alone.
