Amelia awoke, somehow, for no good reason that she could think of, 
afraid to be alone.  Quietly, so not to awaken the others, she 
slipped out of her room and tip-toed down the hotel's hallway.  When 
she reached his room, she carefully pushed open the door and snuck 
in, quickly closing it behind her.  She hurridly made her way in 
shuflilng silence over to his bed and looked at his sleeping form 
for a moment.  He had no shirt on and slept only in his black 
pants as usual.  Cautiously, Amelia slid onto the bed, slippin.. 
under the covers beside him and in a second scooted up to him and 
flung her arm around his waist, burying her head into his soft chest.  
	

	Xellos awoke suddenly when he felt small soft arms tighten 
around him.  He opened his amethyst eyes to see Amelia's black 
hair resting on him. He lifted his hand and stroked her hair, 
watching as she tilted her head up, her watering eyes falling on 
his.  Worry struck and took over as he sat up almost fully and 
pulled her close to him, hugging her tightly. "Ame-chan, my 
Ame-chan, what's wrong? Are you hurt?  What happened? oh....." He 
sighed holding her as closly as physical form could allow and 
she shook her head to the questions.

	"I was scared.  I don't know why.  Please, I just don't 
want to be alone tonight." she sobbed, still holding onto him 
tightly.

	Xellos pulled her away. "Do you want to stay with me tonight?  
You can sleep here with me if you want to."

	Amelia nodded and he smile. "Come here." he whispered 
wrapping his arms around her to encompass and engulf her in a 
warm safehold, letting her know she was safe there.  Amelia sighed 
against him and fell to sleep, smiling softly in her love's arms.

	Xellos sighed softly feeling Amelia's gentle breath against 
his skin.  Carefully, he pulled the covers up to their necks and 
snuggled in closer to her soft body.





	In the morning, Xellos woke to find Amelia gone from his 
side.

	"You awake?" a sweet voice echoed from inside his bathroom 
at the end of the bed.

	He sat up," Yeah."

	Amelia walked in out of the bathroom, brushing her hair and 
made her way over to the bed laying the brush down and jumping into 
the bed.  She hurridly crawled over to him and lay down on top 
of him, kissing his lips sweetly and softly.  Xellos returned the 
kiss, holding her shoulder and waist with his hands.  She pulled 
away and smiled at him, resting her chin on his bare chest, sighing 
happily.  He reached down and stoked her hair.

	"I love you." he whispered.

	Amelia's eyes grew wide with amazment and she smiled, hugging 
him tightly and laughing.

	"Oh, Xellos!!!" she sobbed happily. "I love you, too!"





	Just then, a knock came at the door. "Xellos! Amelia's gone, 
we have to get going to find her!" 

	

	Lina heard footsteps from inside the room she had just yelled 
to and her eyes went huge when Amelia opened the door and stood 
leaning against the frame.  

	"Maybe I got the wrong room. I could have sworn you 
were down the hall and- "Lina stopped abruptly when Xellos's arms 
came around the princess' waist and he rested his chin on her shoulder.

	"Oh! Good morning Lina-chan!" he smiled.

	Lina was in shock, "What the hell is THIS? What's going 
on here? Amelia, what are you doing in Xellos's room?"

	"So many questions Lina-chan? "Xellos laughed tunring his 
attention to Amelia. " I'm going to take a quick bath.  Meet you 
downstairs for breakfast?"

	Amelia nodded and Xellos snatched a quick kiss, then 
trodded off to the bathroom.	All Lina could do was stare with her 
mouth open at Amelia.

	"I thought you were in love with Zelgadis!" Lina finally 
blurted out after a minute of silence and Amelia smiling. "How 
did this happen?"

	Amelia sighed. "Come on, let's take a walk and I'll tell you 
the whole story."

	



	The forest was filled with chirping birds and beautiful 
flowers covered in morning dew.  Amelia had always loved this 
time of day.  When everything was starting anew.

	"Well?" The red-headed sorceress asked giving Amelia a look 
of anticipation.



	"Ok, remember about three days ago, when we got lost in 
that labrynth in that cavern?"

	Lina nodded.

	"Well, about two hours into sensless wondering, I 
met up with Xellos.  L-Sama, I never thought I'd be so happy to see 
that Mazoku.  Anyhow, we decided that staying togather to search for 
you guys would be best and that's when we came to one of the labrynths 
many obsticles."

	Lina interupted. "We ran into lots of those."

	Amelia nodded. "Yes, so did I, but this one was different.  
It wasn't an obsticle as much as a wakeup call.  It didn't threaten 
us or try to hurt us.  It was a cottage and a little old woman sat 
inside.  She told us that she had been trapped there for many years, 
and had decided to use her special abilities to open a store for those 
who came by......"


*******FLASHBACK******* (no. really?)

	Old lady: "So, another lost soul comes to my door again.  Well, 
tell you what, since you are so young child, I will tell you your 
fortune for only three silver peices, eh?"

	"That's ok. I really don't need my fortune read.  I already 
know my future." Amelia was skeptical.

	"Oh, do you dear?  I think you are being mislead by 
wishful thinking." 

	"ZELGADIS IS NOT WISHFUL THINKING!"

	The old woman fell back out of her chair sweat starting to 
form.  "Ah, so you believe that a dream is truth?  Justice perhaps."

	Amelia stared in shock, while Xellos, however seemed less 
interested and looked around the house until her next line, when he 
fell to the floor in a thud.

	"No, no. That monster behind you is your fate deary.  You 
can run but neither can hide from the fates."

	"WHAT?!" Both Amelia and Xellos screamed.

	"But-but I don't love Xellos!"

	"And I can't love!"Xellos squeaked.

	"Ahahhahaha......now, do you want to hear your real future?" 
The old woman glared with a slight sneering to her.

	Amelia and Xellos sat absently staring at her.

	"I see........" the old woman pulled out a bag of leather and 
spread bones out on the table.

	"EW!" Amelia screached.

	"Interesting." Xellos said with much amusment.

	"Ahha! I see you child.  If you pursue this man with blue 
skin, your heart will break and you will die alone, but if you 
open your heart to others and look for love elsewhere, you will lead 
a happy life of bliss."

	Amelia sighed at the revelation of not being with Zelgadis.

	"And you, monster Mazoku.  You may be ancient and wise, but 
you have much to learn.  Mazoku CAN love.  Follow your heart.... that 
is if you can learn how to listen to it properly.  Don't be so 
cold.  You have feelings that you are afraid to admit.....try 
them out and you may just have alot of fun."

	The old woman finished with a smile.

	"Wow......"Amelia sighed again.

	"Three silver peices!"The old woman grinned.

	"Hmm?  oh! Oh, ok. here you go." Amelia threw three peices 
of her silver onto the table.

	



*******END FLASHBACK******** (don't you just hate me for this! 
hahahahahahh)



	"That's it? That's why you are with HIM! Because some old 
lady told you so!!!!!!!!!!!!??????" Lina almost fell over in shock.	

	"No! NO, no!  At first we ignored it, forgot it even, until 
we met up with the dragon.

	"Dragon?!" Lina had never run into a dragon in the labrynth.

	"Yes.  I don't know why, but Xellos saved me from him and 
slayed the dragon.  After that, I felt safer with him than with 
anyone and he started being nicer to me.  In fact, when we slept 
in the cave that night, I stayed as close to him as possible.  
He was so sweet to me, bringing me food and water and carrying me 
when my feet got tired.  I think that lady's speech about listening 
to your heart really got to him, cause I heard him talking to 
himself when he thought I was asleep.  He was saying how he had to 
learn to be open, because only L-Sama knew how much longer he would 
live. He could die any day and that would mean he would have 
lived a sensless life.  I don't know what compelled me to do it, but 
I walked in as he was talking and sat down in front of him.

	
**************ANOTHER FLASHBACK*****************



	"Amelia! How long have you been up?"

	"A while.  I've been listening to you Xellos." She layed a 
palm on his cheek. "I'm sorry if she made you feel so bad, but she 
is right and so are you.  You aren't getting any younger and 
your always in danger.  You need to make some decisions in 
your life if you ever want to really live."

	She smiled at him and he compulsivly leaned foreward and 
kissed her softly.  Amelia didn't know why, but she never protested, 
even when he slowly and carefully lowered her to the ground and shed 
her of her clothes, but it seemed right.  It felt right.......and 
as far as Amelia was concerned, it WAS right.

	
****************END ANOTHER FLASHBACK****************(heeehee)



	"You had sex in the cave?!?!?!??!!?!" Lina fell back for 
the second time that morning.

	"Well, it just sort of happened and none of us regretted it.....
then or now.  We still don't.  I think we really are in love, Lina.  
Please just trust me....support me on this.  Zelgadis is never going 
to fall in love with me and if he falls for someone else, then I am 
very happy for him, just don't tell anyone yet ok?"

	"Ok....."Lina sighed." I promise.  I guess your right about 
Zel.  He's just too damned stubborn for anyone! hahah.  Anyway, so?"

	"So what?"

	"So how was it? How was he?"

	"LINA!" Amelis blushed crimson.

	"Well, if you expect me to keep a secret, it's gotta be juicy. 
You know me!"

	Amelia sighed and turned to walk over to a bench.  Lina 
followed her anxiously and Amelia sat looking at her 
with resignation, 
rolling her eyes.

	"Good."

	"Good?"

	"Good."

	"That's it?!?! Just good? No sparks?"

	"What do you expect Lina?"

	Lina grinned devilishly, "Details baby! Details!"

	"L-LINA! No!  ok, he was great. ok?"

	"Great like how?" Lina shifted.

	"Lina!"

	"Come on! I wanna know!"

	"He was gentle.  He took his time...."

	"Yeah? and?"

	Amelia groaned." He-he likes to use his hands and mouth.ok?ok! 
there see you dragged it out of me! Don't ask me for more, Lina! Geez 
I am soo embarrased!"Amelia turned red as a cherry.

	"Is he big?"

	"LINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Amelia nearly fainted.

	"Comeon!Comeon!Comeon!" Lina was anxious for more.

	"arg! yes. ok, there!"

	"Long?"

	"Is Gourry?"

	"Now how would I know that!?" Lina fumed.

	"Well, I just assumed because you two are so perfect for each 
other-"

	"Were not talking about Gourry, were talking about Xellos!"

	"Ok, fine, you wanna know?"

	Amelia sighed when Lina nodded, her eyes shining for 
information.

	"This long and this thick." Amelia showed her with her hands.

	"WOW! That's like......."Lina calculated." Eight inches long 
and an inch and half thick! ~~~~  wow.~~~~~~~~~~~~~" Lina's head swirled.

	"Any more questions?"

	"Yeah, lots......is he fast or slow?"

	"Fast....sometimes. Once he gets going"

	"How long he last? Like, once or more."

	"Three times most the time. I usually am too worn out to 
notice."

	"Hahah, wimp." Lina giggled.

	"Oh, shut up." The princess had a perminant stain on her 
cheeks.

	"So, what happened after that.....I mean, you seemed normal 
when you came out and we found each other.....what's up with that?"

	"Well, you see..................."



**********YET ANOTHER FLASHBACK**********(now you have permission to 
kill me. heehee)



	Amelia and Xellos walked hand and hand to the exit, when Amelia 
stopped and Xellos felt her tug, then walked back to her.

	"Ame-chan, what's wrong?"

	Amelia looked up at his open amethyst eyes. "Let's not 
tell them yet, I wanna wait a while."

	"Why, Amelia?"

	"I just want to do it slowly for them.  Just let them see it 
evolve.  I don't want to confuse them."

	"Alright." Xellos, sighed pulling her close for a hug 
and kiss."If that is what you want my Ame-chan, then that is what 
I will do."

	He smiled at her and they kissed once more before exiting.


***************END YET ANOTHER FLASHBACK***************(Getting monotonous 
ain't it?)




	"Oh, so that's why you two have acted normal.  I wondered why 
you looked so cautious and guilty when someone came into a room 
you two were alone in." Lina smiled.

	"Well, Xellos is probably waiting for me in the tavern, 
let's go."

	"Ok," Lina smiled, throwing her arm over Amelia's 
shoulder. "Hey what do you think about going out to a club tonight.  
That way you and Xellos can be close and it will look like the 
drinking's fault"

	"Lina, you are so smart." The princess giggled, 
wrapping her arm around the sorceress.




	

Amelia and Lina laughed loudly, bumping their butts togather as 
"Dude looks like a lady" by Aerosmith played loudly through the 
clubs speakers.  Xellos happily, and drunkly hopped around the 
girls, throwing his arms in the air.  Amelia turned to face Xellos 
when Lina slipped away to get a drink, dancing as closly as 
possible to him.  Xellos pressed his body to hers, wrapping 
his arms around her waist, both laughing as they made large dipping 
circles.  Amelia giggled as her small sticky pigtails bounced while 
they jumped.  Xellos and Amelia separated holding hand and jumping 
wildly, laughing and breathing for air as they started doing a messed 
up version of swing, Amelia throwing her head back and kicking her feet 
up high as they bounced around each other togather.  Zelgadis couldn't 
help but laugh at this, seeing as the two were not exactly party 
goers unless they were drunk.

	As the song ended, a slower one, "Music of my heart" by came 
on the two sat down, laughing wildly and taking big slugs of water 
to catch their energy back.  They sat drinking until the song was 
over and "Aye Aye I" By Gloria Estephan came on.  A conga line 
started to form and Amelia grabbed the hiccuping Xellos by the 
hand and Lina by the other, pulling them into the line with her.  
They line grew and grew and everyone caught onto the dance. Step 
step, step, kick left, step step step kick right.  Everyone 
either spun their fists or held onto each other, bouncing 
wildly in unison.  Gourry shrugged his shoulders and decided to 
join in.  Zelgadis was now pretty much the only one not in line 
and since this drew more attention, he took a guzzle of his beer 
and waited till Lina and the others came around, cutting into 
the line to laugh and join them, not being not the attention 
getter.  The song came to a slow finish and people laughed and 
danced to the slow dances, including the two people who really 
shouldn't have, unless they wanted to be noticed.  Amelia and 
Xellos.  Lina, Gourry and Zelgadis's mouths all gaped as the two 
danced, gazing star-struck into each other's eyes, smiling and 
Amelia quietly singing the song to him.

	"Oh, no" Lina whispered to herself.

	"What are they doing?" Zelgadis asked utterly confused.
	
"Um, maybe they are just drunk?"

	Lina's excuse flew out the window when the two love-birds kissed.  
Not just a little kiss, but a deep kiss, from both ends.  Zelgadis 
fell out of his chair and stared at Lina who put a hand on his 
shoulder.

	"At least she wont be bothering you anymore?" She laughed 
nervously.

	"Yes, that's good...but XELLOS?!" he was shocked.

	"Well, guess it could be worse."

	Zelgadis groaned. Like how?  he thought.

	The two kissed and danced and laughed the whole night.

	Zel recovered from shock with lots of drinks.

	Lina watched them and brought vodka for Zel.  

	Gourry just ate.




	Lina groaned annoyed as she walked with Amelia and Xellos back 
to the inn.  The others had left early.

	"Well, you two really screwed THAT up." She moaned.

	Amelia looked over at her, her arm still around Xellos' 
waist and Xellos's arm around hers. "Oh, Ms. Lina, it was going to 
come out sooner or later."

	"Yes, but still-"

	"Oh, Lina-chan, you do worry too much." Xellos grinned at her 
with closed eyes.
