                     "A Warm Sunnydale Welcome"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	It was a blistering night in southern California. The sky was clear
and the stars were bright spread out all over except in one remote town. Sunnydale,
 CA. Home of the Hellmouth. Tonight Sunnydale lay calmer than it ever had, all
 the citizens inside asleep in their beds, happily dreaming
or some other silly nosensicle
human thing.
	The town was in a peaceful, yet unnerving clam this night. The sound of crickets
 wasn't to be heard and the rustle of the leaves stilled in the calm evening.
  Not a sound but the lone footsteps of a familiar stranger to this small town.
His heavy boots clattered on the gravel as he strolled his way through
the town, memories blinding him to any activity if there were to be found. His
peircing blue eyes, hollow it seemed as he was lost in time in his own mind of the
days events, past, present and following. Not one person could ever predict
the fateful evening this was to be, even one of his age and maturity couldn't
see the road that this small town would take tonight.
	Two miles outside of two, a dark black Toyota convertible crashed through
 the 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign, backing over it again and again to make sure
 the damage had been done. Laughter could be heard following the vehicle into
 town at this early hour in the morning. Fate had surely arrived.
	Spike slowly walked the deserted streets of Sunnydale, checking his watch
 to see the time. Three fifteen A.M. Still plenty of time before the sun, but no
food, not that he was able to have an actual mean, but the scare alone would suit
his needs for tonight. He could steal some blood from the bank later on in the
evening and have his mean and his scare.
	An unneeded sigh escaped his long-dead lungs as he continued on.
	Without warning, screeching of tires could be heard behind him, catching
his attention. Whirling around to face the noise, Spike's ice blue eyes went
wide as a black convertible with the top down sped toward him at an alarming
rate. Backing away quickly, he was spun with the
backwind as the car raced
past him. Duster whipping in the wind, Spike growled at the uncalled-for brush
with second death that had just passed him. Looking up, he watched as the girl
in the backseat raised her palm to her mouth, kissing it and blowing the imaginary
endearment to him before waving and laughing like a raving lunatic as the car once
again took a corner at such speeds that would seem to have killed a human.
	Spike stood for moments, staring after the insane group stunned. Shaking
his head, he continued on, blaming this yet again on the hellmouth.
	A grin truely worthy of devilishness spread over sparkling white teeth.
Deep blond hair with tiny stripes of black through them whipped across the smooth
alabaster skin. Tight black leather jeans constricted comfortably against skin as
the green corset top squeezed with every flex of the
muscles benieth and in the
arms. Dark sunglasses sheilded the soft blue eyes benieth them from the wind
and harsh night as the speed rushed adrineline through the body.
	Amber smiled her cruel smile again, taking a corner with such speed, death
 could almost be smelt from the burning tires. Tongue licked lightly at mocha lips.
Her long black nails tapped on the steering wheel to imaginary music played in her
mind as she smiled over at her passenger before turning back to the road.
	Amanda laughed and threw her head back, her short red hair whipping close
to her eyes before she brushed it away.  Deep red lips opened to a sharp set of white
teeth, smiling lupine and insane as the nights creatures. Her long black rayon
pants lashed against her legs and the long sleeved knit top clung closely to her,
 the dragon up the sides of her waist and arms molding to her
like a second skin.  Turning the corner again, the passenger swung around to face
 the girl in the back seat who was laughing and screaming out to the quite night
 before rejoining the first pair of eyes on the road.
	Angel, also known as
 Aj laughed crazily before again turning around to stand on her bare knees on
 the leather interior as the wind blew her shoulder length hair across her face
 and out to the darkness that followed the car like an evil creature pulling along
the tail. Her dark brown glittered lips mocked the endless night as she reached
out for it after taking a corner of another dark
Sunnydale street. Her short
black leather skirt rode up a bit as she reached on her knees to the dark, a great
 contrast to the bright silver tank that adorned her upper body. Sleeveless and
 freeflowing, it contrasted to daring and evil.
	All three girls wore calf-high black leather boots. Amber's complete with
 tall skinny platforms, Amanda's elegantly stilletto and Angel's shorter wide
 bottoms. All three wore leather jackets, Amber's slightly longer than the
 both, Angel's tighter around her and more shiney and Amandas a comfortable
 knee length and loose. And all three girls were on the same mission tonight.
 That was why they had come. Why they were there. Grinning like crazy beasts,
 laughing like the world had come to an end. They had finally reached their
destination.   The Hellmouth.
	Buffy Summers sighed as she again read over the same passage in her American
 History book for the third time. She was restless and couldn't get anything done.
 Something was bothering her. Something wasn't right. It was as if something were
 coming that she couldn't quite understand and she couldn't stop. Sighing again,
 she stood and closed her book, looking at the time. Already 3 pm. The meeting
at Giles' wasn't until 5:30. Restless, she turned on the radio and ploped down
 on her bed, staring up at the ceiling. Yes, something was coming. She just didn't
 know what. And that unnerved her the most of all.
	Willow Rosenburg shut down the computer for the third time that day.
 She was nervous. She couldn' t get any work done at all. Even her time spent
 talking to her friends on the internet was boring her. She wasn't sure why,
 but everything seemed strange.  Standing and making her way to the kitchen,
 she pulled open the refrigerator and peered inside at the almost completely
empty box. Juice, applesauce, left over pizza.... not much and nothing to make
 a definate meal. Groaning, she shut the door and stood up to grab an apple
 off the counter, taking a bite into it before sitting back down on the sofa and
 doing the last thing she could think of....turning on the TV. She just wished she
 knew why she was so nervous all of a sudden.
	He was jittery, that was it. Damn that coffee. He knew one of these days
it was going to get to him.  Taking off his glasses and rubbing the bridge of
 his nose as always Rupert Giles closed the demonology book in front of him and
sat back, turning off the desk lamp. He had spent the last two hours going through
 demonology books studying up on the last few demons they had fought. It seemed
 so quite to him today. Of all the days for it to be quite. Looking at the clock
 on the wall he saw that it was now 3:10 pm. Almost two hours before the rest
 of the group would be coming over to meet and research togather as usual.
 He never in all his years thought he could wish that Xander or even Spike were
 there to talk to. Oh well, must be one of those days.
	Spike tossed on the matress that he and Harmony had once shared
 still wondering why he had ever even taken her in. Ah yes, sex. Anyways, he still
 couldn't think of anything but that car. And those girls. He knew there were
 three. His enhanced vision helped him with that, but what was strange about
 them is that they smelled different almost....new. As if they were just born.
 Strange. Standing up, he walked over to the tv, turning it on and searching
 for a suitable channel. Oh well, only two more hours before he could go bug
 the Slayer and her gang. Maybe they would know a little something about it.
	Dusk. Dark. Ending of day. A slow smile spread over Amber's face as she felt
 the presences above her. Small whispers in their minds. Her eyes opened slowly
 to see the faces of her two friends hovering above her.
	"I told you she would be up in a minute. You just have to give her time
 to notice you." Angel said softly to Amanda.
	"What is it?" Amber asked.
	The two girls exchanged a look. "They know, "Amanda finally said.
 "They all know we're here."
	"We don't think they know who or what we are or even if it is a we that
 is coming, they just know."Angel put in.
	"You sent the awareness
 spell out, Angel?" Amber asked turning to her.
	Angel shyed away for a moment, then nodded. "I figured they needed to know.
 Wouldn't just want to walk in and them have no clue now would we?" she grinned.
	The other two responded in kind with grins of their own.
	"Of course not." Anya replied.
	"They are meeting tonight. At Giles'."
	"Where else would they meet?" Amber smiled at Amanda. "Let's go say hi,
 then shall we?"
	Amber stood and joined her friends at the door. Tonight would be one
 hell of a night.
	A knock at the door alerted the scooby gang of a new presence. Looking
quickly around to make sure all were accounted for, Giles sighed and turned
back to the door before opening it.
	There standing before him as the door swung open were three girls of
about 18-19 years old. The one on the left was slightly shorter than the
 other two and stood with one hand in her black jean pocket, covered by the
leather jacket that hung over her shoulders. She was grinning a bit, which made
 Giles a tad suspicious of the trio already. Her short red hair riveled that of
Willows in intensity.
	The one on the right side had both her hands behind her back and her
head down a bit as if looking at him through her lashes to effect as evil.
 It worked. Her jacket hung to her waist and was snug around her hips, which
were encased in leather short shorts. Her shoulder-length hair swayed gently
around her face. She swayed a bit, a little smirk on her face as she watched
him sizing up these three girls that mysteriously stood before him on this
silent night.
	The girl in the middle stood tall and proud, closer to him than the other
 two. A tight silk black tank top adorned her chest and an open middrift gave
 way to a black and white japanese designed skirt of silk. Her long flowing
 blond hair reached down to her waist and was streaked with tiny lengths of black.
 Her makeup was dark and concealing, though the smile on her face made her
look like an open book. Her hands were placed apon her hips, creasing the calf
 lenth leather jacket that she wore. She was taller than the other two, probably
 so by the heels she wore. The three girls
certainly made an impression
 just by the way they stood.
	"H-hello. Is there something I can d-do for you?" he asked nervously,
his eyebrow twitching just the slightest as it always did when he was nervous.
	A big open smile lit up on the middle girls face at the familiar
studdering of the middle-aged watcher. She could see that he was worried and
a bit nervous about their sudden appearance.
	"Hello Giles." The girl in the middle spoke with such smooth ease
and grace that it almost made the man trip over his own shock.
	"Y-yes, I am he. How-"
	"Don't worry yourself over such trivial things, my dear." The girl on
 the left spoke up.
	"It's not for you to trouble yourself about just now." The girl on the
 right smiled as she spoke, lifting her head just a bit.
	"Worry about us for now."The middle girl said with a little laugh, then
exending her hand slightly to him. "I'm Amber. These are my two companions,
 Amanda," she nodded left, then right, "and Angel or AJ. You can call her either
 one."
	Giles gently took the hand, shaking it briefly before releasing it like
it were a disease. Amber just  giggled a bit before replacing her hand against
her side.
	"Well, are you just going to stand there or invite us in, dear man.
We have much to share with you. If you still think it's not safe you can check
 each of us for a heatbeat, I assure you you'll find one in every single one."
Amber laughed again.
	Letting out a sigh, Giles stood aside to let the girls enter. He knew that
if they truely were vampires the nonverbal invite would not be enough.
	Taking his invitation, the three girls stepped inside without so much as a
flinch. Nope, not vampires. Sighing in relief, Giles decided to follow back in
and shut the door, relocking it after each of them had entered. Then he retook
his seat next to his slayer who was leaning up against the bar.
	"This is," he pointed to each,"Amber, Amanda and Angel."
	A flicker of pain at the last name passed through the slayers eyes
before quickly being forgotten. She smiled slightly as did the rest, all except
for Spike who didnt even try, instead watched them with uneven eyes and slight
recognition, and Anya who smiled a little too big before going back to her
usual frown. The group shifted uneasily at the unwavering gaze of the
three strangers. The girls couldn't help but smile at the impression their silence
 made.
	Three pairs of eyes scanned the room togather, past the watcher, the slayer,
 the witch, the vampire, the boy and his ex-demon girlfriend, then back to the
vampire, where they settled. The three girls grins grew as they stared at the
vampire which they had so blatantly almost run down last night. A small giggle
erupted from Angel's lips, then from the other two, before they were chuckling.
	"What?!" Spike growled before recognizing them. He stood suddenly,
moving toward them until he was just inches away. "Your the bloody gits
 who almost ran me over last night with that damned car of yours!!!", he practically
 yelled out in their faces. Plenty of 'what?'s could be heard from behind him.
	Amber smiled widely before leaning up to kiss him cheek, then pat the other
 with her hand, laughing lightly. "Bygones, dear, bygones." she said then made
her way over to the couch that Xander and Anya inhabited before sitting
down. The two girls took seats next to her, one on the sidearm to make enough
room. Spike growled slightly before retaking his seat in the chair away
from them.
	Amber couldn't help but smile again at this. "We are here to help.
 We've come a great long distance to serve you in whatever way we can, however
....term-bound it may be." she grinned.
	"What do you mean you've come a long way?," the slayer spoke up for the
 first time that night. The uneasy feeling she had had that afternoon was haunting
her again. She just knew it was them that had caused it.
	"Just what she said,"Angel started in," We have come a very long way. From a
 differnt dimention in fact."
	"And we know all about every one of you." Amanda spoke up, leaning back.
	"Y-you do?" Willow asked quitely, her gut churning.
	"Yes. All about you. Every Single One." Amber chuckled ance again.
	"Well, who the hell sent you or did you just decide it would be nice to
do us this little favor only after trying to RUN US OVER!" Spike snarled out.
	"Oh hush." Amber scolded, "No need to get so violent. You shouldn't have
been walking the streets on such a dangerously magickal night as last night."
	"M-Magickal?" Giles asked, wiping his glasses.
	"Yes. Did none of you notice the lack of stars or moon, yet the streets seemed
lit anyways?" Amanda asked incredously.
	"You people really are unattentive, you know that?" Angel sighed and rolled
her eyes, as Amanda began wandering off into the kitchen to scavenge for food.
	Giles sighed yet again, studdering as he stood to follow her to divert her
cravings from his refrigerator.
 "um...miss...."
	Amber chuckled lightly as Amanda was shooed back into the living room,
an annoyed look on her face. "Well, I got hungry. Don't get so ruffled, man."
She huffed sitting back down by Amber and crossing her arms.
	Amber snapped her fingers, a little black leather book appearing above
her hands. The others watched in facination as she pulled the book out of midair,
 quickly flipping through it, then whipping out a cell phone. Dialing a number she
had settled on, she tossed the phone to Spike who put it to his ear and sat speechless
as the message played in his ear.
	"You've got to be bloody kidding me." He groaned.
	"What?" Buffy asked curious.
	Handing her the phone, she put it to her ear and looked up at the three
girls. "This can't be real can it?" she asked as she listened.
	" You have reached the oracles message station. If you would like to
leave a request, press one, for prayer advice, press two. If you have questions
or would like to schedual a possible meeting please stay on the line for operator
assistance......hello, oracles hotline, how can I help you?...Hello?" Buffy quickly
hung up as the operator started to sound annoyed.
	"The oracles?"
	"Ever heard of the fates?" Amber asked leaning forward.
	"Yeah?" Buffy nodded.
	"Yeah." Amber sat back, smiling.
	"May I put in an all round, 'huh?'"Xander spoke up.
	Angel sighed. "Think about it."
	Willow's eyes lit up. "Oh my goddess!"
	"That's us." Amber said with a smile. "May I introduce, Maiden," she pointed
to Amanda, "Mother," to herself, "and Crone." and to Angel.
	The others looked at her strangely.
	"Ok, so we're only a few months apart, but that's the order it goes in,
ok? Sure we don't look the parts, but it's us alrighty. We just decided
that Earthy form seemed alot more....entertaining." she grinned.
	"So....so your the three fates??" Willow asked excitedly.
	"Just call us Triple A. It works much better, plus it sounds really catchy.
"Angel smiled.
	"Yep....now, got anything to eat? I'm starving." Amanda said rubbing her
hands togather. The others looked confused as Angel
and Amber rolled their eyes.
	Spike followed the others through the graveyard, annoyed by having to
 be there. They had all insisted that everyone should come along this time to make it
 a 'team effort'. He didn't think he should go, maybe stay and watch tv while they
slayed a bit.
	"Bored?" A voice from behind him caught his attention. Amber stepped up
inline with his pace, looking up at him.
	"Yeah, so." he snarled.
	Flinching slightly as he smirked, she frowned. "Not very friendly,
 are you? I would watch my attitude deary if you ever wish to rid yourself of that
 chip in your head." Amber grinned.
	Spike haulted, staring over at her as she continued. "Hey, wait! What
are you talking about." he said, suddenly interested.
	Amber turned in front of him, keeping her pace, only backwards a smile
 on her face. She reached out and tapped his forehead as he kept up with her only
 a couple of feet from her. He leaned out of her tapping after a few times.
"This chip, Spikey. If you ever want that silly little
peice of plastic out of your
brain, I'd cooperate. I have that power you know."
She smiled wider and turned
back, running to catch up with the other two of her fates.
	Spike watched her carefully. This one was different than the other two.
She had more of an attitude and a...interest about her. She seemed more complicated.
 And that's what made him curious about her. He had heard alot about the fates, and
they were nothing like what he had expected. Especially the way they acted.
They were as if they had not a care in the world. Yet
thousands of lives and unlives
rested in their hands. They decided life and death, yet here they seemed to be on
vacation.
	Spike smiled, thinking of how he could get in some good favor with these girls
who seemed to have already taken a strange interst in him. He could definatly get
into this.
	"Oh!" Angel shouted suddenly, startling the group.
	"Angel." Amber admonished her.
	"Sorry, but I have an idea!" She turned to her sisters but said nothing. Their
faces suddenly lit up.
	"That's a great idea Angel!!" Amanda said, jumping up. /Let's go!/ she thought
out to her fellow fates.
	/Calm down Amanda, they can't hear you remember?/
	"What is it? What's going on?" Buffy asked, annoyed at being left out.
	Amber sighed. "The Bronze. We've never been out to a place like that. Take us."
	The group looked at her strangely.
	"What?"
	"You just sort of ordered us to take you." Willow stated.
	"Yes, so?" Amber said, then sighed. "Silly mortals. Would you please takes
us to see the Bronze if it wouldn't interfere in your little affairs that are sooo
important to you?" she rolled her
eyes.
	Spike snickered, catching her attention for a moment, before he looked back
 at the television clearing his throat. Amber smirked.
	"Well?"
	"I suppose I don't see any harm in letting them take part in public....
celebration." Giles said, adjusting his glasses for the fifth time that evening.
	"Hmm... ok, cool. Let's go." Buffy said, smiling suddenly. This would
be her chance to relax.
	Spike sat still watching the television as the group made their way out the
 door. Amber spotted this and quickly pointed her finger at him hiddenly. Spike
 felt pulled up out of his chair and toward the door. Ambers laughter followed him
 out the door as his meager protests continued.
	"Hey! What the?!" Spike
yelled as the door was shut behind him.
	The other two sisters shared a secret smile. This could get very interesting.
	Music thumped throughout the Bronze as the soundsystem newly put in rumbled
the place with dancing vibrations. Bodies writhed on the dancefloor, pulling one
another close as the beat pounded out their desire in their brains. Dancing here was
the only way to releive the tention...for now.
	Amber, Amanda and Angel stood on the edge of the Bronze, heads lightly swaying
 to the heavy core music. Amber closed her eyes and started out on the floor as a new
 song, 'Crying' by Aerosmith started up. Each girl started out to the floor with each
 three beats that chorused through their heads as the tune started.
There was a time
when I was so broken hearted
love wasn't much
of a friend of mine
The girls formed a circle, each facing left and touched fingertips of their right
 arms togather, walking in beat in a circle, letting the music flow to them.
the tables have turned
cause me and them ways have parted
that kind of a love
was the killing kind
Turning the opposite way, the girls started to dance just the same as Spike and the
others made their way to the edge of the dance floor to watch. The girls had their eyes
 closed.   Then they turned to face each other and places each of their matching
 palms togather.
Listen, all I want
is someone I can't resist
I know all I need to know
by the way that I got kissed
I was crying when I met you
now I'd dying cause I let you
your love is sweet misery
Amber started to whisper with the words as the girls turned to her side and they all
 twirled and writhed in unison.
I was trying just to get you
now I'm dying cause I let you
do what you do, down on me
now there's not even breathing room
between pleasure and pain
yeah you cry when were making love
must be one in the same
Suddenly, to the amazment of Buffy and her group, a light began to envelope each of
the girls. A red light over Amber, a green light over Amanda and a blue light over Angel.
 Each of their nice L.A. outfits swiftly changed into smooth flowing gowns made of gossamer
 and silk. Adorned with colors that fit them best, the girls continued dancing on as
 they moved in unison, unaware or uncaring of the sudden change.
it's down on me
yeah, i got to tell you one thing
that's been on my mind
girl I gotta say
were partners in crime
you've got that certain somthing
what you give to me
takes my breath away
The light continuously surrounded the girls as they danced on unaware of their
surroundings. Spike watched in awe as the girls seemed to float through each of the
movements like an art. All of their eyes were closed to the world, but Spike could
vaguely with his vampire eyesight make out a small source of light on each of their
foreheads that looked to be an eye of some sort. It didn't look like it had a pupil,
 only light eminated from the small oval orb. It was open and looking around as they
danced, free to take in all the strange sights.
now the word out on the street
is the devils in your kiss
before love goes up in flames
it's a fire I can't resist
I was trying just to get you
now I'm trying cause I let you
your love is sweet misery
I was crying just to get you
now I'm dying cause I let you
do what your doing to me
The musical interlude started up and the girls all leaned back in unison, almost
touching the ground it seemed, but so delicatly, it looked impossible. Amber first
stepped in the middle and spun provocativly, then Amanda and Angel followed her
lead, each taking a turn in the circle until the words started again and they joined
hands, makind intricate patterns with their over-and-under
dancing.
these words you gotta say
and words you shouldn't say
i know, sweet love, my love
til you give your heart away
I was crying when I met you
now I'm trying to forget you
 your love is sweet misery
The girls bright glowing eyes in the center of their foreheads seemed to fade and shut
 as their clothing returned to normal that it was and they slowly ended their dance.
I was crying just to get you
now I'm dying just to left you
do what you do, baby, do baby
yeah
As the song ended, the girls made their way off the dance floor one at time toward
the stunned group. Spike watched as Amber walked by him with a little smile and
 smirked himself, following the three mysterious girls to sit at a table. Amazingly,
 noone on the dancefloor had even seemed to notice they were there. In fact,
 noone was looking at them or staring at the group they were with.
People were acting as if everything was normal.
Everclears 'I'm on Your Time' started to play as the group sat down at a secluded
 table, the three girls by each other, Spike beside Amber and Giles Anya beside
 Angel.  Amber smiled as Spike sat down beside her, studying her face. She knew
 exactly what he was looking for.
	"Third eye." she said.
	"Huh?" he replied.
	"That's what your looking for isn't it? My third eye. It's closed. It's
 right.....here."she gently touched her forehead softly and closing her eyes.
 Taking her hand away, she reopened her eyes. "You can't see it when it's closed.
 That's the point. I'm suprised you saw it at all. Most earthly beings don't, but
 being a vampire, I suppose you are open and more suseptable to things like
 that." She said smiling in curiousity. "I'll have to look into that."
	Turning back to the conversation she didn't see Spike still watching her
 face. This time, though, he was looking into her open eyes. There was something in
 there. She was hiding something. A secret. And he intended to find out what it was.
	Feeling eyes on her,
 Amber turned back to look at Spike. She knew he knew something wasn't right. That something was out of place. Quickly turning away,
 she concentrated on the talking people around her, instead of this strange creature
 beside her that seemed so curious about her.
	The girls sat with
their new group of friends/or soon to be friends
 and talked. This certainly
was becoming a warm Sunnydale welcome.
