Pardon me while I ramble a moment...
I remember the first time I ever saw anything by Monty Python. It was during high school, and I was at a friends house. There had been a pretty big party there, but it was starting to wear down and only us hardcore partiers were left. That's when someone said "Hey, wanna watch a movie?" We all said sure (we were out of games and stuff), so IT was put in the VCR. I remember seeing the words "932 A.D." and thinking "What the hell are we watching?"
It's a foggy day... the camera is focused on a hill, a horse can be heard galloping in the background. Suddenly, a man crests the hill, looking like he is riding on a horse... but as he gets farther up the hill, we see there is no horse, just him and his servant, who is making the noises with coconut halves.
I was hooked. Barely into the movie, and it was already the funniest movie I'd seen. I started watching Python and I haven't really stopped yet....
