EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this episode! In case the fact that I actually rated this over three stars didn't give THAT away!
Okay. So, basically, in this episode, we start out with Hitomi warning everyone that the invisible giants are going to burn Allne's castle to the ground. Of course, he figures she's just a flighty girl making a big deal out of nothing and ignores her...although, he almost has a reason. Merle, our favorite little vindictive cat girl, shows back up! She's been looking for Van and has fallen ill. Of course, Hitomi also has to faint right after Merle does, making it all about her again. EGO!!!! While Van nurses Merle, Allen is in charge of Hitomi and tells her the story of how his little sister dissapeared and his mother died soon after. It's sappy, stupid, and yuck.
The next few scenes involve nursing Merle and Hitomi back ot health. It's funny because Merle does all she can to make Hitomi miserable, but other than that, it's pretty insignificant. So we get to my silver haired idol, the diabolical Adonis himself, Dilandau. He wastes no time in attakcing th castle to find Escaflowne, burning everything to cinders (yay!!!!!!!!!!) and laughing all the while. However, Van, Allen, and everyone escape in the flying ship Crusade, certain that the Dragopnslayers can't follow. Except Dilandau and his little company are cool enough to have flying guymelefs! They chase after the Crusade, which results in a very nice fight scene, and Van deicdes to go out and fight in Escaflowne, which turns into a flying dragon and lures Dilandau and his troops away from the Crusade.
YATTA! He burns it all! My silver haired baby burns it all!
