I have been a teacher
for the past fifteen years in the state of Georgia. During that time, I
have taught just about every course offered under the Social Science heading.
I have enjoyed teaching Economics throughout that time. Recently, the state
of Georgia has proposed that by the year 2003, all public high schools
will implement an "End-of-course-test" after completing the economics course.
Many school systems have decided to average their test scores with their
regular grades in the course.
I have decided to design
this webpage for my students to have access to every concept, skill, or
ability that will be required to have a passing score in the test. I found
a list of the various domains that will be tested at the Department of
Education website. Then, I noticed that the various domains also include
the (QCC) objectives that each covers. I decided to use the domains and
the QCC (Quality Core Curriculum) objectives to designed this site. The
domains are listed along with the objectives required, then under each,
there are a number of educational links that will help the student enhance
their economic knowledge. I hope that this site will give my students a
much better chance of passing the test.
