The Qu'ran Exhibition opens at 7pm, and at 8pm there is video and performance on January 29, 2003 at the BUG JAR, 219 Monroe Ave., Rochester NY. Live video mixing will follow as the house dj s spin their set. The visual art continues through February 28, 2003. A group of young buffalo artists formerly of the KAMIKAZE are exhibiting. The title of this show is based on the art being shown in a night club/ bar institution (In the Qu ran alcohol is non-halal, and this references impending war with Iraq). Nicholas Golebiewski and Anna Chiaratta Lavatelli will exhibit ultra-chic paint-by-number drawings, mod paintings, and intra-personal photo boxes.
