Religion

      This is not about the existence of a god or gods. The idea that a single sentient being (or a troop of sentient beings) created the infinite and eternal universe and continually supervises and sits in judgement on it and all its inhabitants is too absurd to talk about, and I refuse to talk about it. Forget it! It's self evident that gods don't exist - period!

      Religion, unfortunately, DOES exist and needs to be defined and discussed, because, in relation to human affairs and over the course of history, religion has probably been more destructive than war. What is it? Religion is both a physical and a psychological denial mechanism.
