Significance

 

If you want to see your significance,

If you matter to anyone at all,

Just take a look at the little things,

That don’t seem significant at all.

Check your caller I.D.,

Who missed you when you were away?

Someone saw you at the game today,

Did they say hello?

You were sick last week,

When you woke up, was there a balloon by your pillow?

You must have more significance than I,

When people pass you they say “hi.”

You know you have a place in life,

You have your own best friend.

But my significance is significantly less,

No one would care, if I came to my end.
