Everyone’s wrapped up in their own pathetic lives

They don’t realize their own insignificance

How the world is crumbling around them

They think, “it doesn’t matter”

 

It doesn’t matter that everyone is dying

And so are they

It doesn’t matter that we are safe no more

It doesn’t matter that our world is damn near dead

What matter's is, “did you hear what she said?”

 

Everyone’s wrapped up in their own pathetic lives

They don’t realize their own insignificance

How the world is crumbling around them

They think, “it doesn’t matter”

 

It doesn’t matter that no one bothers trying

Nor do they

It doesn’t matter that corruption’s eating us alive

It doesn’t matter that we are the only ones who can save

All that matters is, “what’re you doin’ later today?”
