Like an Island in the sea

I exist alone

No other islands rise near me

Though hurricanes I survive

Of my self I grow

Like an eagle in flight

I soar alone

I hunt to survive

Though my prey is always caught

My hunt may never end

For I soar alone

 

I am a man with no-one else

A man with no-one to lose and nothing lost

Though I stand for others

I will always stand alone.
